TGIF ~ July 28, 2006

Ok, it's been a few days... Only because I haven't had much to say. I still don't. Today, I just wanted to put this picture of my flowers on my blog. (The ceramic dog's name is Harley.)

If you hadn't read my blog recently, then check out the one before this one. There is a funny picture of the youth / associate minister at my church.

Anyway, for those who knew about the business I was trying to aquire... well, it's not going to happen. The owner wants $10k down. & I don't know anyone who would lend me that or even co-sign on a loan for me... so, that was the "big door" that needed to be closed or opened... & God told me this is not where he wanted me by SLAMMING the door! I did tell the owner if he changes his mind (when he doesn't sell it in a few months) to give me a call, to see I'm still willing to do a lease agreement. I have a hunch I may here from him come October or so.

God has His reasons as to why that opportunity was even presented to me. I think a lot has to do with, the fact it was to help pull me out of my depression. It gave me something to focus on. I have to say, if that is why, then God's timing is always perfect! Now, I just have to keep on, keeping on. (So to speak! LOL)

Wow, I guess I did have something to say. LOL

Hi! Here I am again... so soon you say? LOL...  I just had to share this photo... this is our associate / youth minister, Scott Williams. He had lost a challenge to the kids. He said if they brought in over $300 for one of our missions, he'd dye his hear blue & get a mohawk. & if they went over $350, he'd let 5 kids throw whip cream pies at him. They brought in almost $400, & well... you can see the results... & this was just after church today. What a GREAT sport you are Scott!!! Thanks Kids!  (See more photos in the LCC Photos album... to the right of this blog on the front page.)

Not much else going on. Dave went on a Progressive Dinner Ride & brought me home my dinner. (I was supposed to go, but my knees are acting up... & I didn't want to be on a 450lb motorcycle, if they tried to "give out".) Thanks to all who cooked & for sending some home with Dave... It was DELICIOUS!

Can you believe I'm actually up this early ... & working on the computer no less!!  Well, I had to get up to finish packing Dave's lunch. Besides, I'm trying to get myself back on a normal schedule.

Well, I guess that needs an explanation. For those who don't know, I've been off work since May 5th... on short term disability. It's a long story, but I'm not hurt... physically that is. I am getting better... only took 3 months to start to come around! (The right meds will do that! LOL) Anyway, I still have a long road ahead of me. Especially with trying to figure out how early I can take my meds... you see, they put me to sleep (along with other things)... but for some reason, it's never consistant. Neither is how long I stay asleep... HOWEVER... it is SOLID sleep!! It feels good... VERY GOOD... & it's been years since I've had such solid sleep. Now if we can only do something about Dave's snoring. LOL  (TMI?? (too much info?) LOL)

Well, I don't want to blab too much. Just wanted to let you all know I'm doing ok... as best as I can for now!

P.P.S. The picture is of our dogs... (left) Coleman is a Border Collie... & (right) Sunny is a Corgi Boxer mix.... we think... anyone know what she is?? These two have been quite a comfort to me while I've been off. I thank God everyday for them!
