What is TYDTWD?
Simple... Take Your Dog To Work Day!! If you ever wanted to take your best friend with you to work... TODAY is the day to do it!
The picture chosen today is of Sunny's favorite pastime... She used to love to get up on the living room couch & stare out, through the big picture window, at the world passing by.
However, she now seems more inclined to just sleep on the couch next to me... whether it's here at the computer or watching tv.
She must have become bored with watching the same scene outside... because we can't even coax her up to the window anymore. (Maybe she thinks that's what hurt her... we believe she has a bit of arthritis in her hind legs... though she doesn't act like it all the time.)
I have TYDTWD everyday!!! :) & I'm just LOVING IT!!!
(Since I'm technically unemployed.)

6-21-07... Frustration...

HAPPY 1ST DAY OF SUMMER!!
Well the time I didn't have with Mike (my 17 yr old (going on 7!) son... I've spent trying to mess with FTP. (File Transfer Protocol ... don't ask, I don't know! LOL)
Anyway, today has just been one of them days... anything I did with that (or anything) has just turned out all wrong. (Ok, not everything, but close enough that I'm ready to go bury my head under the covers!!)
All I know is it wore me out today!
So... this is all you're getting! & I'm sticking with the fish underwater theme because that's how I feel today!!!!

Just blabbing about my day (6-15-07)

Hello all! Welcome to Friday!
I notice I haven't spent much time talking about my passions... One of them being NASCAR!! Well, today I've spent a lot of time on the Nascar.com site updating my community profile & blog.
They have an Open Chat during the weeknights, races, & just found out tonight, also during Cup qualifying. It's cool to hang out with others who want to talk Nascar!
If you are a Nascar fan & have not signed up for the Nascar Community, I highly recommend it!!!!
If not a Nascar fan... at least go check out out the new look for Nascar.com... Also, send me an email or comment to let me know if there is anything I can do to convince you NASCAR is GREAT!! They don't just ride around in circles! It's very hard what they do!
Disagree? Well, watch a race.... completely! Then listen to the post race interviews & look at how worn out they drivers are! Tell you what, I wouldn't want their job! (Though I'd like to have a "hot lap" in one of the cars!)
So, what turned me to Nascar? My hubby! Actually I have always been a race fan... My dad would always want to watch the Indy 500 every year. We both still try to catch that race... but ever since I met my husband & started watching Nascar with him... I had been "converted".
I guess it's that feeling of being "at home"! The majority of the drivers AND fans are so warm-hearted. It's a cozy atmosphere!
Now get this... I have been to races, however, I do not recall any of them! (See my blog on 4-16 & 4-17-2007... warning it's a bit long... but worth the read... so I think so!) LOL
Well... before I go, I just wanted to let you know that I am hoping to post here at least once a day... (during the week!) I have to keep blogging about different subjects because I am "applying" for blogging jobs. (Freelance / Creative writing.)
In case you're reading this to consider me for a blogging job, please feel free to email me with any questions or comments.
Also, keep in mind I am mainly doing this blog for family & friends for "insight" into my life. Though I don't mind blogging about almost anything. Just give me a topic... & if I don't know anything about it, I will be able to do the research & then blog what I know!
I love researching about anything. If there's an answer to a question & I don't know it, I like to look it up... well almost. I am not going to look up Nuclear Physics or complicated like that! LOL
Furthermore, I like to be "intelligent" / creative sounding... most of the time... so I use a Thesaurus & dictionary, a lot! I think that comes from my broadcast training I went through. (I am glad this site does automatic spell check... so to speak.)
Ok, for the sake of my dad & other relatives, I will stop!

I'm disappointed they Cavs didn't win.
HOWEVER, my optimism side, I'm happy for them they made it to the finals!
