that is disgusting. That teacher should be voted out of class! You don't do that to a child and people wander why the kids today have such problems? well it's "adults" like that and the school should be ashamed of themselves also for allowing a "teacher" to do something like this. She just taught the rest of the class how not to be kind, caring, and compassionte.. hopefully the parents will do some damage control and tell the own children how wrong that teacher was. Sorry but when I hear about stuff like this involving a child it really ruffles my fur!
Someone has been watching too much reality TV, and it's appalling!!!
Regardless of what issues this child may have had, the appropriate course of action would be to set up a meeting between parents and teachers, and come up with a solution that would be in the best interests of the child and his peers ... NOT public humiliation!!!
Incidentally, I think it's made worse by the fact that nobody but his family is willing to stand up for him. Where are the police? Where are the school authorities? You can't expect me to believe that this is an approved method of education!!!
They showed this on t.v. as well. The parents recorded what the teacher said. It was worse than the article says. I have no idea what this teacher was thinking, but...
If this teacher is tired, if this teacher is burnt out, then she needs to find something else and not take it out on the students.
Maybe this hits too close to home, but I've got to say there's teachers out there who just should not be in their chosen profession...
