I did it again!

I swear, stairs and me just don't get along anymore.

Earlier today I was going UP the steps to get ready for Grammy's party when I slipped... Twisted my back. Oh no... OH YES!!! At least I didn't LAND on it! So, I called Mike & my sister... & made arrangements for her to get him. I didn't think I was going to make it.

Well, after talking to my mom, who basically said I needed to at least make an appearance. Even if I didn't stay long. Well, that was about 1:00p.m. ... & the party was over at 3... well... I made it by 2:50p!! (People were still there... & Grammy was too.)

I gave her, her gift from Dave & I... a pair of Christmas slippers. (they're cute!)

There were a TON of Red Roses in vases & they were giving them away. My mom made sure I took a few... I was only going to take one, but she hands me 4!

Oh... & sorry, no pictures... My battery died on my phone. I forgot all about it 'til I went to leave & then I saw it had died. Don't worry though... I'll try to get some outdoor shots of the place later... seeing how it's down the road from the farm & all.

Anyway, I just wanted you all to know that, if you don't see me around tomorrow... I may just be sleeping & trying to ward off the back pain. (At least I'm sitting up right now! But not to last much longer.) Going to check my messages & I'm going back to a fetal position... well, ok, just laying down! LOL! :)

Toodles all!

  5. If that's the case... then someone better tell hubby he has to do the laundry from here on out! LOL! (Machines are down in the basement. & I am always scared of slipping down them... so much so I hold onto the banister tightly.)

That was the problem today, though... I think I grabbed the banister to tight & was fighting the fall... & I think that's why it twisted a little.

(I'm still sitting up... but now I have my legs up on the couch... I think this will be the best way for me to work on the computer from here on out. It's just a bit more relaxing.)

  9. Oh you silly goose *hands you ice and some superglue*

I'm thinking of making a coat for you made out of bubble-wrap. Keeps you safe, and gives you something to amuse yourself with ;)

    *gentle hugs*

  10. Are they carpeted? I used to slip on my stairs when they had a beautiful runner. Now that they are just hardwood, I haven't had a problem, knock wood.

  11. I was going to suggest no stairs for you like Amy did, but since the washing machine is in the basement, that's not an option. I guess you'll have to follow Caghs' advice with the bubble wrap. Feel better soon!

  14. Eeaks....lots of slip'n and slidin going on this weekend. I nearly fell off the porch carrying packages to my car. Darn snow. I know you like it, but I don't!! Only for Christmas, then it can go away for the rest of the year.

Glad you got to see your grandma.
