It's nothing big to some folk... it's just I have been playing online poker (for play money) & got into a tourney that is "free roll" and the winners of this one particular one advances to the 2nd round... & so many (can't remember off top of my head) will get invited to Vegas to go against a pro... & have a chance at $1 million (REAL money!)
Anyway, I had been playing these 1st round tourneys off & on for over a week... & I finally won a round... after being at the 2nd to last table about 3 or 4 times.
So, I just tickled I finally made it that far! Only thing is, I can't be so "brave" with my chips in the 2nd round... because that's all there is... no more tries!
Hubby laughed at me... & asked "how you going to get to Vegas?" I said, "if I get that far... I'll get to Vegas one way or another! I mean... come on... it's a chance at a MILLION DOLLARS!!"
But hey... I am NOT getting my hopes up just yet. That's a LONG LONG way away! I have to get past the 2nd round (which is Sunday!!)
I would just be THRILLED if I can even place in the top 100 in the 2nd round. I'll have to go research to see how many places get to go to Vegas.... brb.
Oh, I looked a little closer... the 2nd round is just to get me to the Final Qualifier... THEN it's to Vegas! Let's see... then from their it's the TOP 10 who get to go to Vegas. So... yeah... I have a LONG WAY TO GO!!
(I think I can keep trying the 2nd round... I'll let you all know as soon as I know!) :)
