Has anyone seen the new addition to Multiply? (like or dislike??)

  1. I turned it off. I hate Instant Messaging. Send me an e-mail, they don't interrupt my work.

  6. me too; I disabled it and TBH I don't see the point. If I want to 'chat' with Multiply friends I can send a PM to them and if they are online the reply is immediate if they want to join in - and if they don't they don't seem to be snubbing the rest of us. I use gmail in the same way with at least four friends (we just 'chat' by e-mail). Time Zones have a lot to do with it.

I have 10 threads about it in my inbox and so far hardly anyone seems to want it

  8. I don't like it, I have been told by a clever friend how to turn it off though, which I will be doing shortly. :)

  9. it is easy to turn it off: my account>my account options>down at the bottom before save changes tick the box to disable chat. shame they didn't do it the other way round - show it was there and leave it up to us to decide if we wanted to be visible or not!

  10. So far I've just seen one comment FOR this new feature ... everyone else has disabled it, or is about to. I think Multiply put it there to attract younger members (to compete with FaceBook). If they hadn't have given us the option to disable, I'd have been upset at the way it was just foisted on us. However, it works for me this way ... those who want to chat can do so and those who don't want to can disable the feature and just carry on as normal.

  11. I haven't used it... but I like that it's there. Doesn't bother me either way. If I get annoyed with it... Like you Sumax... glad I have option to turn off. ;)
