I didn't want to blog about this, because I don't want to worry my dad. With him living in CA & me in OH... there's nothing for him to do but worry... & there's nothing to worry about.
Anyway... I'm going to copy & paste here what I wrote on Facebook... (being lazy that way. LOL)
*********** ok all here's the deal... Last night I had a set of seizures. (Again, don't worry, I'm fine now!!!) Anyway, got a call back from Dr. Di's office at CC... & he had said that since they've stopped that I do NOT need to go to ER or anything... however, if happens again, wants me to be taken to ER immediately & have a CAT scan. they also relayed that he said we're staying with Aug 20th for the surgery... unless I have another episode of seizures. If so, then they'll "reassess" at that time.
So, let's hope & pray I don't have any more episodes by then!
btw... in case you're wondering why my hubby didn't take me to the ER last night... It's because we did all that they ... See Morewould do for me (except the CAT scan)... had taken an Ativan (used for seizures & anxiety)... & after I "came out of it" I took Ibuprofen & a Benadryl & went to sleep.
I woke up feeling ok today... just have a terrible headache & my muscles are a little sore / tight (as expected after thrashing about).
Again, let me reiterate... I'm doing fine now (beyond the headache!)
Since they've called me back now... I'm going to finish what I had started & then take 2 Tramadol (pain killers) & a Benadryl & try to relax! ***********

How worrying ... but I'll take your word that you are okay now. I hope you don't have any more seizures before the op date. Do take care of yourself and try not to get stressed about this episode. **Hug**
You would think, huh? Though the neuroSURGEON told me to call the neuroLOGIST... Which I did & am waiting for a call back from them. Probably not until Monday.

ReplyDeleteKnowing you were having seizures why would they postpone things again? Wouldn't that make them want to get on this quicker?
