Well, it's no wonder I don't wake up until Noon or later!!! I was doing so good for so long... then stuff happens & throws the sleep schedule off & I can't seem to get readjusted again! *sighs*

  1. The only way I've been able to readjust is by staying up for 24 hours... & since my surgery... I am not willing to do that... I'm basically still recovering & do need all the good sleep I can get!

One good thing about going to bed this late is... that when Hubby gets up around 5a... I don't seem to hear him & wake up a little... which is good... means that my sleep is more solid that has been.

So, don't know if these late night stints are a good thing or not??? Hmmm... we'll see! ;o)

With that said... I should close the computer lid... Take my Ambien (another reason I'm not asleep yet! LOL) & lay back to watch a little tv & then ... hopefully sleep!!!

btw... for those who don't follow me on Facebook... this time the "stuff" that happened was a couple weeks ago Hubby was extremely sick & at one point I thought I was going to have to call the squad... but thankfully he fell asleep & I stayed up to make sure to call his work at 7a... then I gently woke him & told him to let him know that was done & I was taking my Ambien... & wanted to be sure he was doing ok. Thankfully he slept some more & so did I!

Anyway... since then, it's been late nights for me... Hasn't helped that I've been goofing around on FB... even when I say I'm going to log off! ... That's just me... I get distracted & next thing you know it... like tonight... 3:18 a.m.!!!

    Ok... good night! ;o)

  2. Power naps hon. Short naps to revitalise through the day, then sleep at night, and make yourself get up at a set time the next morning. Don't allow the power nap to be more than an hour, whether you sleep or not; relaxing is the key. Keep doing this until your cycle resets, then slowly cut out the daytime naps. It'll help with the daytime sleepiness without compromising your ability to sleep at night.

Doesn't work for me, the poor cycle is too ingrained. But if you basically have a good rhythm, it should help.

  3. Oh, and make a point of not going on the computer after a certain time, say, 11pm. That'll only make things worse.

  4. Kitty's got some wonderful ideas on resetting your "clock". Setting an alarm to get you up at a reasonable time in the morning is a good idea as well. You just have to make sure you get up no matter how little you've slept. *hugs*

  5. *giggles* ... only because I've been trying to do that... & some how I get sucked in... LOL

& Thanks to you & Maegan... Great ideas ... I might start trying that in the next day or so. Today, woke up way too late... again! But didn't go to sleep until 5a... GEESH!
