This Link is just a reference to what might happen if I have to go fly anytime really soon! LOL.Yep! This morning I had to go take a radioactive / iodine pill for a thyroid scan I'm having later today.
I think it's funny... I have to carry a card stating why I am "radioactive".
I was talking to my mom on the phone, a few minutes ago, & we were laughing about how Coleman (my border collie) was sniffing my wrist where the hospital bracelet is... & she said he's probably wondering if it was ok to jump on me or would I explode! LOL
So, then I said, maybe I shouldn't be laughing... which made us laugh harder!
The reason behind this, is the scan is to see what is going on with my thyroid. A few weeks ago I had an ultrasound done & they found some nodules along with an abnormally large thyroid.
Concerned, my family doctor, ordered this thyroid uptake & scan. A major DRAWBACK of this is I had to stop my meds for 3+ weeks... So, if you're wondering why my blogging has been sparse lately... it's because I've been fighting depression again.
Especially the past week or so. I pushed myself over Thanksgiving weekend & basically the last 3 days I've done practically nothing, except sleep... or just sit & surf on the internet.
I had no interest in baking a bunch of stuff like I usually do at this time of year. So, I only promised my family something really easy... Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffins. (Harvest Muffins is what we call them.)
I used to make them from scratch until Pillsbury came out with the pumpkin bread / muffins mix... Just add chocolate chips & it's exactly like our homemade version!
Anyway! I just wanted to let all my regular readers know what's been keeping me away. I hope to get back into the groove here in a few weeks.
Plus I've been fiddling with my theme, trying to learn the CSS so I can help others customize their sites as well. (& make some for those who don't like to mess with it.) For now I am going to stick with this one I found from "Multiply Customized Themes Group".
Well, it's been long enough since I took the pill, that I now can go eat some breakfast.
