I was starting to get bummed that we might have a dismal looking Christmas... until about 4:30 this afternoon...
It started to SNOW!!! YIPPEEE!!! But it didn't last long...
HOWEVER after supper hubby went to take the doggies out & he exclaimed; "It's really coming down now! Streets are covered."
I, wrapped up in my snowman fleece blanket, turned quickly to part the living room curtains... & to my surprise AND delight... SURE ENOUGH, it was really snowing and the streets were covered!
At this time, I do believe that the temps will stay cool enough for this snow to stick around until after the big day!! :)
It will be an even bigger delight if it snows on Christmas day!!!
Why is it we have to have snow for Christmas? This just struck me... what is it about a Christmas that makes you feel that if it does not snow, or if there is no snow on the ground... it's just not right?
Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement with you! Thank you for allowing me to barge in! :)
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL & TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT! Ho Ho Ho!!!
thanks cool, i think all i will have to do is dream about a White Xmas. I have never had one and i dont think i ever will, i have never seen snow in real life before.

ReplyDeleteI too am excited about having a white Christmas this year. I swear the temps dropped like 20 degrees and all of a sudden this afternoon there it was!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I hope u do have snow for Christmas, but it seems we wont. It is cold enough but the forecast says no. waaaaaaaaaaaa (am I too old to cry?)
ReplyDeleteI wish that it would snow where I live!!! Send me some!! lol
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your snow!!!! and if you listen to many of the Christmas songs, They have snow in them. So, yup! I suspect that SNOW, tends to not only blanket the land in white , but shows off the Holiday Decorations to perfection.. Kind of like the Icing on a cake. Now , you need to take some pictures. yup! for For it is not every year that Christmas is wrapped in white. Hugs, Inez
ReplyDeleteHope the snow last though Christmas. We are scheduled to have snow Christmas morning, a rarity in front range of the Colorado Rockies. I'm excited about the snow too. It just seems like we ought to have snow at Christmas. I might feel different if I lived in another clime. Merry Christmas and God Bless Us EveryOne.
ReplyDeleteBummer! It was NOT a white Christmas at all! It warmed up slightly enough for all that lovely snow to melt.
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of fact our back yard was muddy!
Oh well, I did get some snow just before Christmas! AND after... Now they're calling for snow on New Year's... & for temps to drop into the TEENS at night this next week. GREAT!!! Give me my comforter & a cup of hot tea (or hot chocolate) & I'M READY!!!!
