Time Travel . . . judging by the number of television series, movies, books created on the subject, each providing it's own twist on the subject, it is a fascination that has captured the imagination of people in all walks of life through the ages.
This week's Friday Five questions pose various scenarios within the theme of "Time Travel" . . . elaborate or not as much as you like.
1. You can go back and change an event in history . . . What would the historical event be, what would you change and what outcome would your actions have? This is tough... My friend Grandma Rosy took the one answer I would even think of... change 9-11-01 events.
My hubby said he'd go back to when Eve ate the forbidden fruit.
I am not sure I'd want to do that... So, I am at a loss for this one. If I think of anything, I'll post it in a comment below.
2. You can go back in time, but you can't change anything . . . where would you go? This one is a bit easier... I'd like to be at Princess Di & Prince Charles wedding... just seeing the glamour & tradition of it all would just something else! :) No, I wouldn't want to change this, because I think Diana needed to marry Charles so that her life would change & she would be able to do the good that she did.
3. You can visit the future, but you can't change anything . . . where would you go? I would like to see how my son, Mike, turns out... regular readers of my blog will understand why.
4. Who is the one famous person you would go back in time to visit? Since I already used Princess Di, I think I'll say something different here... I would like to visit Michael Landon on the set of Little House on the Prairie. Not sure why... I just had always admired Michael Landon (& NO this is not why I named my son Michael.)
5. You can be any person, past or present, famous or not . . . who is it and why? Oprah... when she is giving away her favorite things. Just to see the reaction on the audience members when they realize they were all getting one of them high tech refrigerators!
If you would like to participate in the Friday 5:
Copy the questions and post your answers to your blog,
Leave a comment on the page at The Friday Five @ Multiply to let others know your post is up so they can visit your blog...
Fun, easy, and no time limit.
I have read and answered this subject before,.. Time travel eh?
ReplyDeleteI don't know,.. if what I have done in the past made me into who I am today,.. then the past is still with me right? The future? That belongs to God. I will accept what is given to me.
Cool post!!!!
I watched the wedding of Princess Di and Charles on tv, and it was awesome. At one time I had a book of their wedding and all the guest etc. but it got lost on my move from California .(((Cry)))
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure we are suppose to change the past, we are to learn from it. But being a Sci Fi fan if I could change something in the past that's personal would be my mom passing away. I think about it a lot this time of year (the holidays and the anniversary of her passing is coming up) I would change that just to know what kind of person she was and to see how different of a person I would have become. Don't get me wrong I'm happy with who I am and I know the things I experienced as a child helped me to become stronger and independent and to handle the things I've been through as an adult. The other thing I would change is Hitler that man should have been taken out from day one. and sometimes I wander if he hadn't happened what else wouldn't have happened (like maybe 9-11) but in thinking that way we would have to go all the way back to when Eve ate that apple, that was the start but we have yet to write the ending may God help us all write a beautiful one.
ReplyDeleteI always admired Michael Landon too. I watched Little House and Highway to Heaven and shed so many tears over those two shows. Man I loved him. He was a very good actor!! and he was good looking.LOL
ReplyDeleteI always liked Michael Landon also, I have a couple of videos about his life and some of the interviews that he did over the years. They still play Little House on the Hallmark Channel and TV Land use to play Highway to Heaven.
