Today was Graduation Day & I passed with flying colors! :)
As a matter of fact I am Salutatorian of the class! :)

Jesse Davis Update...

If you're a regular reader from Y360, you may remember the news story I spoke about this past summer about a pregnant woman who was missing. Then she was found dead. (The links are to the blogs I imported to here on Multiply.)

Here boyfriend, Bobby Cutts Jr. the father of the unborn baby (& of 2 year old Blake)... was arrested & has been standing trial the past couple months.

Well, he was found guilty & now the jury is in deliberation to decide if he should live or die.

It's not a very good pic, I know... I have a cheap digital camera!

I was not expecting it to be clear enough here... so I did not have hubby get any film for my good 35 mm camera.

So, you are stuck with these... Better than nothing! LOL

Maybe my photo guru pal, Sean will be able to get some better pics in his area!

Though, I looked at the map & it doesn't look too promising for his area.

New theme...

I really like the new theme... the base that is! It's wider & looks more look like a "home" page!

I like the black satin too! It's one I found in the Multiply Customized Themes group I belong to.

A few little tweaks & I think I'll be set! LOL :)

I can't say that my theme will stay put... but I sure do like it!! :)

The remake of a classic TV Show - Knight Rider

Ok, some may not consider it a classic... but it's one of my favorites from, my childhood.

Well, tonight is the premiere of the remake of Knight Rider... & because KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) is a Ford Cobra Shelby, hubby is sitting here watching it with me. (One of his favorite cars!!)

I will update this with more later on. I just wanted to get this started as a reminder to me to post a review.

Oh, why 4 stars & not 5? Well, the 1st 13 minutes they've shown some very suggestive scenes. I won't get into it, because I don't want to offend anyone. Let's just say, it's definitely the 21st century tv!

IT JUST TRANSFORMED INTO A DIFFERENT CAR!!!! That was cool!

United Friends Challenge #17 - Stella the Stiletto

Well, it's been a couple weeks since I wrote for the UFC... & Since this challenge was set by me, I needed to do it.
I knew what the challenge would be... (Write a story in the 1st person as a inanimate object)... but I wasn't sure exactly how I would handle it.

Yesterday while chatting with my dear friend Autumn Sunshine, I asked her to name off an object that I could write about. She suggested a woman's shoe. "Perfect!" I said!

Still not having a story in my mind I laid down last night & before I could go to sleep the name "Stella the Stiletto" popped in my mind.

That's all I needed!

Before you meet Stella, I have some "business" to attend to 1st...

The challenge (again, set by Yours Truly!)...

Write a story (or poem) as if you were an inanimate object (ie: Ball Point Pen) (in the 1st person style)... & write it about what a day in your life is like! From the time you are awaken to the time you go to bed. (& If you're not used often, explain what life is like in "limbo".) (I sure hope I covered all my own parameters! LOL)

Now, let me introduce you to...

Stella the Stiletto

Hi! My name is Stella & I live in a small dark room with my sister, Shelia, & other family members.

Shelia & I don't go anywhere alone. We are a pair of pink stiletto shoes!

We don't get out of our room that often, but when we do it is a blast. Well most of the time.

The last time we were out Shelia & I knew we were in for a whirlwind of a time! I could tell by the excitement of our owner as she anxiously started throwing some of our family members aside.

Finally when she uncovered us, she hugged us & put us on her feet right away.

Then we went clickity clack down the house steps. Jumped into a car & listened to some bee bopping music. Shelia was just laying there relaxing on her foot & I was being tapped with the beat of the music.

I had not clue what was in store for us.

Reaching our destination, we could hear the thump of music coming from the room we were going into.

"Hey Shelia, you better hang on tight, we're going dancing!" I told my sister.

As we walk into this loud room we kept bumping in to some of our friends. We didn't have time to even say "hi" to them.

Finally we stopped & the weight of our owner was taken off of our backs. I didn't mind it too much. For I know that when she is standing, we are being noticed by all our friends.

Shelia once again was holding on tight. I was swung from one side to the other & started swinging back & forth & tapping to the beat again.

A few minutes later we made it out to the dance floor. It was a slow song to start so we got the opportunity to meet our dates.

Frank & Fred the penny loafers. I should have known by the dull penny in their heads that they were not a couple of nice boys.

Shortly into the first dance Shelia was stepped on by Fred. Then Frank stepped on me. With that I started to squeeze our lady's foot. She stopped & kicked me up & took me off. Then it was Shelia's turn. We here hanging by her fingers for the rest of the dance. I was fine with it, because I was sore already.

We are not meant to be stepped on!! That's OUR job!

Before we were able to tell each other how much we wanted to be back home, another human bumps our lady's hand & I am sent flying.

I landed into a wall & my heal was broken almost all the way off. Before I could scream for Shelia. I could hear a faint "STELLA? STELLA?" in her voice.

All of a sudden I'm swooped up & I sighed thinking I was about to be reunited with my sister. I was wrong. I started being tossed back and forth from hand to hand.

I started to get dizzy & I could barely move. At first Shelia's voice started to get louder. Then, I was tossed back toward the wall & I could hardly hear her.

It seemed like an hour before the music stopped. I'm laying on the floor 1/2 broken & my head spinning, when I hear the click of Shelia coming closer. It just didn't sound right without my echo.

Just as I thought I was going to be left behind the familiar feel of our lady's hand picks me up & whimpers. "Aww, we'll have to fix that." Then she separates my heal from me. I tried to protest, but before I could, I am put back on our lady's foot.

Then Shelia had her heal taken off also & put back on.

We were finally standing next to each other once again & if I had arms I would have reached out & gave her a big hug.

She looked at me & said "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, all accept we've lost our heals. I don't care, though. I'm back with you. Besides we needed to be healed again!"

Before we could say much more we started back to the dance floor again. Fred & Frank were staying far away from us this time.

"Don't worry, we won't get near you. We don't want to end up like you two. We like our heals!"

Then we were placed side by side with Frank & Fred & moved very slow. After a little bit I began to like Frank. He was even funny.

The music stopped again. I thought, we were going to sit down again, but instead Fred & Frank started moving a little faster. Then we started going fast too.

I was out of breath when we finally stopped & sat down. Frank was not far this time. We hung there & was swaying back & forth together.

Shelia & Fred were so far apart I felt bad for her that she didn't get the chance to get to know him better.

Our night of dancing was over & we went click click back to the car. Not having heals really kept us quiet.

We get out & not far behind us is Frank & Fred. Shelia smiled at Fred. I smiled at Frank. Then we each were given our 1st kiss!

Just as we were getting comfy with Frank & Fred, we were walked into our house. Before the door closed we turned & said our good byes to Fred & Frank.

Then our lady took us off & carried us back up to our room. But this time instead of being buried we were put on a shelf next to a pair of cousins.

Since that night we have been healed, but we received a small wider heal. We are a pair of comfy pink shoes. No longer on the floor with other stilettos, we now live on the shelf in the dark room.

Oh, I hear our lady. The light of day has peeked through the room. Today we have been waiting for a long time. It's the day we will have our debut as small dainty shoes.

Later on, the sound of the music makes Shelia start to cry.

Before I could find out why, I saw Frank & Fred coming into view. When we finally reached them & I started to tear up too. I finally knew what was happening.

Frank gave me a nudge, I said, "I'm just like my sister, I always cry at weddings!"

Changes & Organization...

This is a heads up! I am going to be making some changes to my site... So, I hope you'll understand me a bit better!

One thing will be the title name... As I was emailing a couple dear friends of mine... it dawned on me... "The Rambling Train"...

Because there will be days (like today) where I will ramble on for a long time... & it's seems the train of thoughts just keep on rolling!!

Some days my mind is stuck in the station... LOL

So, I hope that the "new & improved" site will help you to understand me and to help you feel more at home!!

As I eluded to in a VERY long letter to ALL my contacts... I am going to try to get things more organized on this site! I really need a grasp on it all... mainly because I have been lacking in being a friend to many of you!

So, as I am trying to get things settled... if you have any suggestion... please send them my way via a reply here or PM... whichever you prefer!! :)

Well, the changes will be gradual at 1st ... then really some tweaking! So, bear with me! :)

Oh & not only am I organizing this... I'm also trying to get my home organized... so there may be day or 2 where you don't hear from me at all! Just know I still am here & I won't be gone long! (At least without warning!!) :)

Hubby is safe & sound

Well, he made it back in one piece! And this time he has his luggage! (When he went to Russia, they lost it for a day!) LOL

Anyway, he may have to go back to California as early as THIS THURSDAY!!! Oh my! I guess someone called them from the plant just as they were about to board the plane. They said that the machine they installed was not working.

I'm not sure what all the details are... but from what hubby says is that they had it running fine... then they started doing stuff & he had to change some programing & then they didn't get to see how the changes went. Something like that.

I just know I maybe making another trip to the airport in a couple days. Though this time maybe for only a couple days! :)

Just thought you'd all like an update! :)

After the bad thunderstorms we had last night & Coleman trying to bark it away 1/2 the night... I'm exhausted! So... Good Night! :)

Hubby HOME from California!

Countdown is on... - UPDATED

Nope, not an official countdown... This is of only minutes, rather than days!

You see, today, I decided to take the plunge & color my own hair! It just seemed everything was going right for me to do it... & plus the coloring was 1/2 off! (Normally about $7.50... but was only $3 something.)

Well, I need to go rinse & see what kind of damaged I've done!

I will post before & after shots later on! :)

The coloring is done. Suprisingly it's not much of a change... most of the gray is covered up (what I wanted in the 1st place) & I do have some deep red higlights...

Let me give you an idea... the color is: Chocolate Carmel Brown! How's that for "fate"! LOL :)

Oh, I'd post pictures... but right now, the camera is not picking up the change very well. We'll see. Maybe later in the week! :)

It's been a long day & I'm worn out... so... NIGHT all! :)

Super Bowl Champs! Congrats to the...

I mainly watched for the commercials... however they were for the most part lame!

I laughed for the Bridgestone Screaming Squirrel... If you didn't see it... well, you have a chance... CLICK HERE!

Then there were the movie premieres. But I guess those didn't count because they're not in the "line up" of ALL THE SUPER BOWL COMMERCIALS. (You can view all of them AND vote by clicking that link!)

The movie premiers included a new Pixar film called Wall-E. It looks cute... but it's not out until June 27th. Why waist the money to premier it during the Super Bowl? To me, that's throwing money out the window when it doesn't even make the list to vote on for funniest / best commercial!

What about the game you ask? Well, with 1 to 2 seconds left on the clock, the fans & the teams rushed the field... but the Giants still had to take a knee! What a mess!

Oh, yeah... GIANTS WIN!!! Woo Hoo!!!! CONGRATULATIONS NEW YORK GIANTS!!! 17 to 14!!

This was one year I was rooting for a NFC team to win! Mainly because I wanted someone to knock the Pats down a peg or 2!!!

Also, because I wonder what the history is of 2 brother quarterbacks winning back to back! To think, Eli was not that good earlier this year!!

Maybe next year it can be BOTH Mannings in the Super Bowl!! Wouldn't that be something! Talk about history making!!
