My hubby just told me that the little girl who did a solo actually lip-synced it. Only because the true little girl was said her face was "not suitable" for the Opening Ceremonies! How cruel!!!!

ReplyDeleteIt's like Milli Vanilli all over again! Thanks for the links to the articles - it was interesting to see that some of the fireworks were computer generated too. Also interesting to hear them humm and harr about the number of empty seats in the venues - some lessons that London can learn from in 2012 I think.

ReplyDeleteIt has ended up doing a lot for the girl left out. She is absolutely adorable. Bloggers all over China are outraged by what happened, saying it sends the wrong message, and the little girl who really sang is now getting a big following because of it!
