10 tired thoughts on Tuesday

1. It's Tuesday already??
2. It's July 7th already??
3. Grandma Gert would have been 97 today!

5. Thinking of taking a nap, only had 4.5 hours sleep last night.
6. Not sure about nap, because city is out finishing our street... I think! (Long story.)
7. Still can't get over the fact it's July already!! GOOD GRIEF!!
8. Nope, didn't get to see any fireworks this year.
9. We did hear them going off all through the neighborhood every night (so far) since Friday night!
10. Poor Sunny, she scared to go out after dark now. The bottle rockets really scared her!

After thought... The picture is Grandma Gert & Grandpa from 1933. (Yeah, I know it's same as the one from last years post. Too tired to search for others & scan in... & well, you know. LOL. I'll share some more later.)

It's still Tuesday, I have time...

Here's my edition of Tuesday 10... plus some!

1. Hubby brought me home a piece of chocolate cake from his aunt's. YUMMO!!

2. It was small, but I enjoyed every last bite... Wish I had more!! (ok, that was 2, now 3 thoughts in one!)

3. I hope that my 2nd batch of logs (from $hiba's infection) submitted to MajorGeeks.com is clean this time!!

4. Hope I don't have to wait as long to get a reply on about #4!!

5. Oh, but I understand that they are just volunteers & there are many of us calling on them for help!

6. Glad MajorGeeks.com is around! They've been a HUGE help so far!!

7. I did not make it all day without sleeping. Took about an hour or so nap.

8. Shouldn't effect me, though... I still feel tired.

9. Also feel a little stuffed up / sinuses bugging me.

10. Bet it's from the a/c... It's the 1st day we had it in.

11. I can actually thank the city for coming down grinding up the street... because it prompted to have Hubby put the a/c in the windows & it's been nice & comfy in here today!!

12. I probably would have been melting...

13. Wow, that was a sound I hadn't heard in a long time... (Fly over by the C130's from Mansfield Lahm Airport / Air National Guard.)

14. No... that couldn't have been a C130... unless they're doing night maneuvers... but why only one... they usually fly in pairs!?!!?

14... Oh wait, I guess I can't count either, right Kitty??

15. btw... The C130's here will be history soon... & All of Mansfield & surrounding areas are disappointed the gov't is taking them away.

16. At least they're not moving the Guard away from us & shutting ops down like they had planned.

17. Wow, I am WAY past 10 now... well... it's been a while & you know me.. when the thoughts start to roll... Chug Chug Chug...

18. Did I mention?... I had CHOCOLATE CAKE!! :o)

My TTT (edited to a Baker's Dozen)

1. Will I make it to #10?

2. I can't believe that in less than 10 days, I'll be FORTY!! EEKS!!!

3. Hubby still hasn't found a job... but he's "being picky while Obama is paying him to stay home." (his words, not mine!!)

4. I keep thinking of things I need to take & get for my trip to Arizona... but I seem to forget to write them down.

5. How many satellite receivers are we going to have to go through before they send us a brand new one. (We're on #4 at the moment... Different problems each time! As long as this one doesn't lock up & records my shows completely, I'll be happy!)

6. According to a rep the other day, we should have gotten the newer model this time around.

7. Anything happens again, I will be demanding the newest receiver available!

8. This all be a mute point if we can't cut some of outgoing money some way else... other wise... bye bye satellite... bye bye cell phone... We need to cut $200 / month to make ends meet!!

9. I just hope that hubby finds a job BEFORE we have to go that far!

10. I'm obsessing on non-essentials... why? I should just be happy we still can afford our home... & can still afford to keep our doggies!!

11. Made it to TEN!!

12. Will make it TWELVE so that it's still a "T"!!

13. What??? No one wants to PARTY??? (LOL)

My mug shot & TTT & a birthday

This blog is LONG overdue... I was supposed to post my mug shots a while back in reply to a friend's blog (can't remember who) ... & I had forgot... but now this worked out to be great timing...

Ok, yes, I mean my MUGS... as in coffee mugs. This is the one on the left, is the one from the mystery package from my dad. (Thanks again Dad!!!)

(btw... He told me that my step-mom gave us most of the clues. They were great clues J... Thanks!!!) **HUGS**

Don't worry, Dad,... my name is not actually smeared on the cup... I did that with my photo editor. (Which I'm finally starting to get the hang of.)

Actually it just started to snow about an hour ago... & it sounds like it will be snowing until tomorrow sometime. Thankfully we're not in the "ice zone". Also, at least it's not zub zero temps!!

My ten thirteen thoughts for today is...

1. I love winter... as long as I don't have to go out in it.
2. I feel for my friend PassionWolf. (long story) ... just keep her in your prayers.
3. IT'S MY HUBBY'S BIRTHDAY!!! WOOT WOOT! (To him, it's just another day.)
4. Well, not this year... he is home & off today...
5. He was laid off yesterday.
6. I don't want to talk about it... just is upsetting to think about it.
7. Plus side, he has vacation time to "cash in"... and we'll have tax return soon.
8. It's just after 6:00 p.m. & I am ready to go back to bed.
9. Can I stand having Hubby home all day???
10. May I go back to bed??
11. I still think there could be a way to transport all this snow to the drought stricken areas! I mean... there are filtration plants... Why not take the snow, melt it... filter it... then transport it & put in the lakes or where ever the water is sourced from. (Think about it!! Doesn't that just make sense??)
12. Same goes for when it floods... someone tell me why we couldn't do that? I mean... this country spends money on so much useless stuff... why not allocate some of the funds to try to move & filter the snow and / or flood waters.
13. Bedtime! (I wish!!)

That's 13... that's still makes it TTT!!!

Tears & Thoughts Tuesday...

Here are my 12 (not 10) thoughts on this historic making Tuesday.

1. No matter what party I voted for, I still feel compelled to watch the Inauguration of President Obama.

2. Tears were in my eyes as I watch President Bush walk out of the White House with President Elect Obama. Say what you will about Bush... I still think he did a rather good job!

3. No, I am not going to watch all day & all night. I think once I see President Bush escorted to the helicopter, I think I will start watching stuff on the DVR.

4. I promised DaddyK (Kartor... my SL Daddy) that the Steelers would be in my thoughts today, if they won Sunday... & that they are!! I am praying that Hines Ward is ok after the knee injury & can play on February 1st.

5. Along the same line, I hope & pray that Willis McGahee is ok... that was a hard hit the Ravens player took.

6. Another presidential themed thought... Hillary Clinton more than likely will NOT take the office of Secretary of the State, today. It was said that there is at least one person who will object to it... But... it will only be delayed at least one until the Senate has a roll call vote. (It was said that it should be no problem.) Wouldn't it be something if they found something to keep Hillary out??

7. President Bush does get one more ride in "Air Force One"... Well, actually it's designation will not be AFO... since he will no longer be President. It will be called, "Special Air Mission 2800".

8. It's actually my EX-husband's birthday. I only remember it because it's the 20th... & Mine is the 20th of March!

9. EEKS... That means my now HUBBY's birthday is in ONE WEEK!!

10. Double EEKS! This birthday will be the big 4-0 for me!! Oh well.

11. No matter who you voted for or what party you are with... you have to admit that today, 1-20-2009 is history in the making for sure...

12. Last thought for now, I lift up in prayer, all that are in attendance in D.C. & pray for their safety. Along with the safety & prosperity for the USA!!

Is it still Tuesday?

Many of my friends have posted their Ten (actually Twelve this time around for me) Thoughts on Tuesday... so, I'm going to throw my hat in the ring & give you my thoughts for today.

1. I'm hungry... I wasn't a few minutes ago, but since I've ordered subs, I am now!

2. FINALLY got my Christmas tree & decorations put away today.

3. Had I only put the Christmas stuff up after Thanksgiving, maybe I would have been tired of looking at them before today!

4. We're are going to be lucky to reach zero degrees by Thursday... yet Australia will be lucky to get below 90!

5. I'm actually LOVING THIS COLD SNAP!!!

6. Only lovin' it because I don't have to leave the house. Ask me again tomorrow when I have to go out to get groceries!

7. I would have gone today, but was waiting for someone to stop by to pick up something I sold on eBay. (1st time I did local pick up.)

8. Paying for our subs with the cash I got today!

9. Just love them Glitter-Graphics.com images!!

10. If you don't see much of me in the next couple weeks... I'm ok, just working on a web site for my hubby's dirt bike club.

11. Hubby is on his way to get the subs... WOO HOO!!!

12. The season premiere of "24" was excellent! Now I am looking forward to the season premiere of LOST!

Tuesday's Ten Thoughts (aka TTT)

Jumping on the bandwagon at least for this week. Since I'm a rambler this will work out great for me!!

The preface about this is just to blog 10 random thoughts.

Random #1: I love the sound of the leaf blower, but does it have to be so HIGH PITCHED.

Random #2: Yeah, I know, I urged hubby to do the leaves today, since it's supposed to be raining for the next 5 days or so... but I regret it now, because he's right out the window next to me, at the moment.

Random #3: For those who are wondering, yes, I'm still sick. I believe it's just a nasty head cold. I have not had a fever, yet. I have my moments when I'm awful & don't want to think. Then have moments where I'm bored to pieces. (Hence why I am on the computer at this moment.)... (Dad, I'll be fine. NO, I don't need to go to the doctor's yet. I just have to wait this one out.) ... It's going to be a long battle, I can feel it already.

Random #4: I guess I'd rather it be a head cold instead of a chest cold... because at least I know it's not bronchitis again... YET!!!

Random #5: Going through a lot of Kleenex... may have to have hubby get another box here in the next day or so.

Random #6: Best thing about being sick... Hubby has been fixing me my food for the most part. (Don't worry, I've been easy on him... soups & etc.)

Random #7: I just realized I'm sitting here in the dark & no TV on... & it's actually... NICE!! (See, I usually have the light on low here in the living room & the TV is usually on for background noise.

Random #8: I hate having to breathe through my mouth!!!!

Random #9: I should probably call a family member to see is someone can use an extra gallon of milk. (I have 2 & 1/2 gallons & since I've been sick, I've not been drinking milk. Though, I so still want some CHOCOLATE PUDDING... just have no energy to make.) Don't want that milk to spoil... I think I'll ask hubby to go to neighbors & see if they can use a gallon.

Random #10: Wow... I actually made it to 10 random thoughts. I didn't think I was going to make it. Especially since this is the most I've "spoken" on the computer in the past week or so... Now I'm numb. (Yeah, head cold will do that to you!) I needst to stop.... needst to go read messages, leave very quick replies & lay back down.

Extra thoughts: I don't know when I'll be back again in full capacity... Only one can guess... & pray for a quick healing. (Yeah, hubby's been feeling better. Good thing he got over his just as I was getting mine.)

As for my contacts, you know, I'll keep you up to date. & For the family & friends who read this that is not contacts... you know how to reach me, if you want! :o)
