Was it a morning like this???

One of the downsides to not being able to drive on my own, is not being able to attend church as regularly as I wish. Especially on special days like today.

(Before I continue, let me preface this blog as... Yes, this entry is of a Christian nature. I do not apologize for posting it... and don't you apologize (nor even make mention) if you don't wish to read it. That is between you & God... (whether you believe or not!) Thank you.)

Because my hubby goes in much earlier than the start of the service, (he's one of the "sound technicians" for our church's Praise Band), I am left with the opportunity to have peaceful & quite time, to be able to worship on my own. And today was no exception... No, take that back... today the exception is that, not only is it a beautiful day (as most Easters have been in the past)... but it's also the day that we set aside to remember in prayer; praise; and worship Thee One who was crucified for our sins and rose from the dead three days later!!!

Yes, we are to remember that everyday... today is just the day, that as Christians, we celebrate it with gusto. Just like we celebrate His birth on Christmas Day!!

Anyway, I felt led today to share with you how I spent my morning in my personal quiet time with God...

Let me back up just a little... I have been reading the New Living Translation (NLT) Bible that is set up to read in one year. Each day they provide you with a passage from the Old and New Testaments... and one from Psalms & Proverbs.

Because I get bored (and sometimes confused) with the way it's set up... so, I had been reading just the Old Testament passages for several days / weeks. This week, however, I felt the need to start reading the New & to read up to the Easter story. ~ Yesterday I read all the way through to Jesus' crucifixion. (Only in the book of Matthew.)

Today, I felt as if I needed to read from my regular New International Version (NIV)... not just Matthew, but also all the versions (Mark, Luke, John, Acts & 1st Corinthians) of Christ's Resurrection.

I also knew, before I went to sleep, that today I wanted to listen to some of my favorite Easter songs. And here is where you can participate as well...

After praying & then reading the scriptures, my 1st selection was "Was it a morning like this." However, I came across a wonderful video of Sandi Patti's version of "Via Dolorosa". Intermingled with a recreation of when Jesus was carrying his cross, made it for a great start of my "worship" time. This particular one, I did not sing along... However, here are the lyrics in case you want to.

Moving on, I looked up the previously mentioned, "Was it a morning like this?"... & found it also by Sandi Patti. These are the lyrics to this song.

(Tell ya what... it sure was a beautiful morning here! Makes me ever so more thankful of God's awesome handiwork!!!)

Then I wanted to not only listen to but sing along to "My Redeemer Lives" (by Hillsong)... If you wish to do the same, (which I highly recommend because this is a very beautiful upbeat chorus), here are the words.

MY REDEEMER LIVES... AMEN!!!

I was going to add to this a little bit about what I did yesterday... however, I believe this one needs to stand alone. With that said...

No matter if you're a Believer or not... have a wonderful, safe, blessed & HAPPY EASTER!!!

I was going to...

Since today is St. Patrick's Day (at least observed here in the USA.) I was going to post "The Scottsman" song (aka "The Drunk Scottsman". (by Dr. Demento, I think))... however, the site where I had my playlists has been taken over by MySpace.

I am not thrilled with this, to say the least! I wouldn't be so upset if ALL my songs had been imported... but I couldn't be so "lucky". (eh... bad pun, sorry.)

So, instead, let me just share an interesting fact I heard last night...

As everyone (I assume) knows, Saturday is the 1st official day of Spring & it officially "arrives" at 1:32p EDT (>5:32p UTC <-- Time zone converter, if you need it.) ... However... that is actually the time for when it will be spring AT THE EQUATOR...

Mark Johnson (Chief Meteorologist at WEWS / NewsNet5) stated last night, for Cleveland the equal amount of daylight is actually TODAY!!!

The sun rose at 7:38a & will set at 7:39p. (& tomorrow it will be the same... I find that even more interesting.)

Not only is Saturday the 1st day of Spring... but it's also my 41st birthday. Geesh... It still doesn't seem possible to be 40... let alone turning 41!!!

Also, it's the day I don't want to see anymore snow, until mid to late October!!! (Actually, I'm ready NOW not to see anymore snow... I'm ready NOW for the temps to stay in the 50's & 60's!!!)

Unfortunately, though, it looks like we'll be getting a little snow, possibly, Sunday night & Monday. However, it shouldn't be too much and probably won't be around much. (At least we hope so!!)

That's all for this time... Have a GREAT day (or night!)

I gone & did it! I cut my hair... SHORT!!!

This is one of them blogs where I'm posting it really for my dad... but I know others want to see too!

The day before Thanksgiving I finally got the nerve up to go get my haircut really short... & So, Hubby drove me (because we've agreed I shouldn't drive until... well, probably not until after I have the surgery or get medicine to stop the feeling of faint all the time.)

Anyway...
I did this because IF I am going to be having the decompression surgery for my Chiari Malformation they will shave a bit of the hair in the center of the back of my head... and so, I didn't want to have to deal with having to cut my hair (to make it look ok) after that & be devastated by having short hair... So, I put it in my own hands to have short hair.

Honestly... it's actually a nice change of pace. I've NEVER had my hair this short!!! I like it... for now! ;)

Here's the "before"...

& The after.......

In case you're wondering that was about 7 inches... Which means that since September I've cut off approximately a total of 17 inches of my hair! YIKES!!!

Here's one more picture...
It's from when I got home & took out the little bit of the "poofy" that the stylist put in. And it can show you that the back is really really SHORT... I mean... IT'S SHORT!!! But I'm liking it.

Another reason I cut it so short was because I needed it off the back of my neck. And it will be easier for me to take care of. For someone who can't stand long in the shower, washing & rinsing long hair does not cut it. (No pun intended... really!) ;)

Now I just need to wait to get the call from my dad to see what he thinks! *giggles*

For Richer or Poorer ... In Sickness and in health.... I DO!

When we said those words just a short 13 years ago TODAY, I'm sure, neither my husband nor I would have imagined that we would have to deal with all that we are dealing with right now.

When you say them, you know you're going to have some ups and downs. However, you hope, pray, & dream you never have to deal with the inferior of those vows.

It's comforting to know since we are "in sickness", I have a husband who has stuck with me during the worst we have seen so far.

Yes, it's been a struggle for us both these past 13 years. However, we ARE still together.

What pains me at this moment is that I do not have the ability to be able to celebrate our day, with him the way we should. I can't even get out to get him a proper gift or card... So, this is why I write this blog.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Dear Hubby,
I love you so much that there are times that words can't describe it. You mean the world to me and if I had these past 13 years to do over again, the only thing I would change would be the stuff that causes either of us heartache & headaches. (No pun intended.)

You have been such a comfort, especially these past couple months.

I am so honored to be your wife and so grateful you have stuck beside me through all of our struggles.

I know that we still have a long road ahead of us in the "sickness" part, however, I would not want any other to be at my side, than you.
Thank you... I love you & HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Multiply experiment...

Well, I actually saw this 1st on Facebook (Thanks again Amy!)  but I got to thinking this would be neat to see here too... And I wonder if anyone has done it yet?

Please feel free to yoink if you wish... Just know that I am making this only available to my contacts... however you can make yours available to as little or as many people as you want.

On with the "experiment"... (Oh... P.S. If you already answered mine via Facebook, no need to do it here too... unless you want to!) ;o)

If you are reading this, whether we do or don't speak often, post a comment of the first memory you have of you and me that pops in your head. When you've finished, post this paragraph on your own status. You'll be surprised what people remember about you.

So much for that idea!

Yes, I'm talking about NaNoWriMo again...

I thought I had a great idea of what to do... but then I wanted to be sure that I could do a piece of Non-Fiction / a sort of auto-biography...

Then I read this:
Write a novel. We define a novel as a lengthy work of fiction. If you consider the book you're writing a novel, we consider it a novel too!

Well, that idea is thrown out the window & back to square 1...

So, again I ask... Anyone have any ideas for me???

Wait... STOP THE TRAIN!!! Something just hit my train of thought here...

But I guess I'll need all of you to give your ok on this... Well, a few of you at least...

If I were to write something using your user id... would you mind? (Of course I'd give you credit & a thank you in the book.)

It would be one of them type of stories where I would use the names and / or pictures to base the character upon. Meaning, I would NOT use any of your real life details!!! ;o)

For example: KittyChile would be a kitten... then there's Passion Wolf, she'd be... a wolf. (Big stretch there.) and etc... LOL.

Ok... with that said... I best get to thinking of a plot for these characters.

In the meantime... keep an eye on this blog for updates of how it's going.

FOUR days until NaNoWriMo starts

Writers on your mark... only FOUR days away from the start of the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)!

In case you don't know, that's the challenge to write a 50,000+ word novel in 30 days. That averages out to over 1600 words per day; over 138 words per hour & 2.3 words per minute. Now that's doesn't sound so hard, does it???

It does if you don't have a plot idea in your head at this moment... I have NOT a single one!!!

But my main concern is I may have another episode of my backwards typing... Yeah, I know... the spelling / context of the words don't count, it's the quantity they're after.

Only thing is I hope that when I have my sister read & proof this one that it's not sooooo far off that she may not get the story. LOL.

Anyway... Get stocked up now on all the snacks & prepare to spend a few late nights typing up a storm.

Just remember, if you're going to do this challenge to take many breaks so as not to get stiff! (Mainly saying this for myself.) ;o)

On you marks... Get set.... WAIT... it's not November 1st yet!!! *giggles*

(Yes that's my "badge" from last year. And to think, I started 11 days late last year!!)
(Title corrected... I forgot there are 31 days in Oct! LOL!)

Please don't shoot the messenger...

This was sent to me by my dad in an email & yes, I just had to share it.
Please read it all the way through before you read & / or make any comments. *giggles*

*********************************

A man is driving down the road and breaks down near a monastery. He goes to the monastery, knocks on the door, and says, My car broke down. Do you think I could stay the night?

The monks graciously accept him, feed him dinner, and even fix his car. As the
man tries to fall asleep, he hears a strange sound; a sound like no other that he has ever heard. The next morning, he asks the monks what the sound was, but they say, We can't tell you because you're not a monk.

The man is disappointed but thanks them anyway and goes about his merry way. Some years later, the same man breaks down in front of the same
monastery.

The monks again accept him, feed him, and even fix his car..

That night, he hears the same strange mesmerizing sound that he had heard years earlier.

The next morning, he asks what the sound was, but the monks reply,
We can't tell you because you're not a monk.

The man says, all right, all right. I'm dying to know.
If the only way I can find out what that sound was is to become a monk, how do I become a monk?

The monks reply, you must travel the earth and tell us how many blades of grass there are and the exact number of sand pebbles. When you find these numbers, you will become a monk.

The man sets about his task. Some forty-five years later, he returns and knocks on the door of the monastery. He says, I have travelled the earth and devoted my life to the task demanded and have found what you had asked for. There are 371,145,236,284,232 blades of grass and 231,281,219,999,129,382 sand pebbles on the earth.

The monks reply, congratulations, you are correct, and you are now considered a monk .

We shall now show you the way to
 the sound.

The monks lead the man to a wooden door, where the head monk says, the sound is behind that door.

The man reaches for the knob, but the door is locked. He asks, May I have the key ?

The monks give him the key, and he opens the door.

Behind the wooden door is another door made of stone... The man requests the key to the stone door.

The monks give him the key, and he opens it, only to find a door made of ruby. He demands another key from the monks, who provide it. Behind that door is another door, this one made of sapphire. And so it went on until the man had gone through doors of emerald,...

...silver, topaz, and amethyst.

Finally, the monks say, This is the key to the last door ...

The man is relieved to be at the end. He unlocks the door, turns the knob, and behind that door he is astonished to find the source of that strange sound. It is truly an amazing and unbelievable sight...

Fall TV reviews (part 1)

Fall TV is in full swing...
Hubby & I just finished watching the new ABC series "FlashForward" (Thursday) & tell ya what... it's going to be another one just like LOST... one you're going to be hooked on! I know I am already!

Tuesday was the return the great show NCIS & the premiere of the spin off NCIS: Los Angeles (on CBS)... Just like their predecessor, JAG... it's well worth 2 hours of viewing!

My DVR will be working overtime on Tuesday's because there are 2 other new shows that I watched last night... "The Good Wife" (CBS) with Julianne Margulies & "the forgotten" (ABC).

"The Good Wife" is actually another lawyer / investigation type of show... & is a lot better than I thought it was going to be. (Love it when things turn out like that.)

I was concerned "the forgotten" (yes, no capitalization is how it's to be) would be another series that Christian Slater's name may have over emphasized the goodness of it... however, yet again I was surprised! ;o)

(btw... I'm not really giving a synopsis on these shows, because I figure you have seen the previews or can look it up. Just giving my opinion about them. ... Also, I'm a bit tired, so my wording may not be "up to par".)

Moving on to Wednesday nights... Well, a new show with Kelsey Grammar ("Hank" on ABC) does not start until this coming week... Looks good. Truly hope that it's better than the one that CBS had him in last year. (Where he was a news anchor. It was ok... but the writing really needed some help.)

We still have to watch "Gary Unmarried" (Starring Jay Mohr)... so, can't give you a review... However, the show seemed to get better as it neared the end of it's 1st season... and from the previews, looks like Mohr may have a hit.

Now we're to Thursday nights... another night the DVR will have a work out. Along with the previous mentioned, "FlashForward" was also the return of "Grey's Anatomy"... knowing that one of my favorite hospital series ("ER") was ending... I started to get hooked into "Grey's" & as a commercial said about the season finale being unforgettable... well, so was the season premiere! Not only is it funny where it needs to be... but it's also drama packed, with tear-jerking scenes.

I'm actually looking forward to it's spin-off, "Private Practice", season premiere, next Thursday... they left us with a great cliff hanger. Not sure though I'll keep up with that show... We'll see if they turn things around this year.

My poor DVR... Friday's are going to be another busy night... CBS saved the show "Medium" from NBC's axe & put it in the line up between their big hits: "Ghost Whisperer" (with Jennifer Love Hewitt) & "NUMB3RS"...

Saturday's & Sunday's are reserved mainly for football & NASCAR. *giggles* (Nope, I don't watch "Desparate Housewives".) So, I'm sure those days will be reserved to watch some of the shows we have on the DVR. (Oh... "The Bill Engvall Show" on TBS is usually on Saturday's now... but the next 2 weeks doesn't seem to be any new shows. They had their season start over a month ago. Must be because it's cable. Just a guess.) ;o)

I say this is part 1... because of all the stuff we still have to watch... Though, I can pretty much say this... it's all good tv viewing! ;o)

Now the question to you is, what are some of your favorites that have returned & what new shows are you watching???

(Of course there are shows like "Dancing with the Stars" that I didn't mention... but that's because... well, just because. LOL)

Halllooooo Fall TOTs

Howdy folks! How ya doin'? I know, I know... long time no hear from me...

So... how about a Welcome To Fall edition of TOTs.

In case you're new to my blog, TOTs = "Thoughts On Thursday". Similar to the Tuesday Ten (or Tengents as my KittyChile sister will say).

They're random thoughts just like anything else, actually... Just not limiting to 10.

Maybe more than 10... maybe less... depends on my mood & what is rambling around up there in my noggin! LOL.

On with the real TOTs for today... WARNING... Many today! ;)

1. Hallelujah FALL is here!! Now where are them Autumn temps??

2. Why is it when we have NO insurance, NO extra money for doctors / dentists... that our teeth decide NOW is the time to act up?? Huh?? Why??? Why??

3. Hubby is feeling much better after his tooth pulling a few weeks ago.

4. He lost about 10 pounds because we think he had the flu on top of all that. (He couldn't keep anything down or in him for several days. Almost took him to the hospital.)

5. Now it's my turn to battle with teeth. Now, I've complained several times before about having broken teeth in the back (molars). One on each side.......

6. So, why is it now, after the one has been broken for a couple years now... & the other about a year, they BOTH decide they're going to cause pain?? Huh... why??

7. I know why... because they know I can't get them fixed right now! Not at least for another 2 months!! UGH!!

8. So, I guess I'm going to start to drink shakes & eat soup for a couple months.

9. Sounds like a good way to loose some weight! (Ok, they're not that bad, yet! It just seems that way at times! What's unusual though is, one or the other would be a little ouchy... last night, BOTH sides decided to start up. I can deal with just one side... but not both at the same time!! ARGH!!)

9a. Really hope Hubby can get dental insurance with this company!!!

10. Hubby has basically told me, last night, I'm not allowed to drive for a little bit. (Ok, this requires more explanation than just a passing thought....)

10a... See, the other day he came home from work & I was having a very bad Chiari day... The headache was not throbbing, but more pressure. So much so that I couldn't really sit up for a bit. So, I had asked him if he would go to the store, please. (We were in need of groceries, big time!)

While sitting at the computer, he couldn't keep his eyes open. So, when I was able to sit up for a bit & move around I told him that, if he'd drive we can both go get groceries. Well, after we were heading to the check out when I felt like I was going to pass out. Thankfully we have a Starbucks in the store, & they have tables. I stopped, told Hubby I was sitting down for a minute & then grabbed the nearest chair. The barista made eye contact & I asked her for a little glass of water. (Not realizing she'd give me about a shot glass worth.) Sat for a minute after that & was able to make it to the check out where I proceeded to unload.

To make a long story short, I STILL hate shopping (for large quantities / or long period of time) because of this. And I think my hubby has realized why. However... this has also sparked concern in him that he doesn't want me driving. Which is very understandable. And no big deal either, since I don't go anywhere, anyway.

Now, don't you all worry... I'M OK!!! I will be just fine! It's just a normal part of my life now... at least it will be until I can see a specialist. Which won't happen until either Hubby can get us back on insurance, or I get approved for Social Security Disability. (Which hopefully will happen by the end of the year... I HOPE & PRAY!!!)

(back to the TOTs... *scrolls back up to see where she left off*) .....

11. I'm wondering if this one tooth is actually a wisdom tooth... though I could swear I had all of them out when I was 18 or 19. (Guess I'm going to have to get a hold of the dentist later on.)

12. Oh... yeah... Hubby just may get sent to Mexico by his new company. ARGH!

13. So, guess who's making all the calls to find out about the vaccines & etc. Yep, you guessed right! Me! (Not that it's a problem.)

14. He's also not sure how long this job will last. He says they have nothing in "the pipeline" after the one machine they're about to start. (There's more to that thought... but it's not really needed on my blog. If he blogged, yeah, but since he doesn't... well... you get the idea!)

15. We think Sunny pulled a muscle in her hind left leg. Poor thing... she's limping around.

16. Oh, but it doesn't bother her if she sees a bunny outside... or even hears the words "outside" or "r-i-d-e". Nope... won't bug her!

17. Same thing goes with Coleman's vision. He looks as if he might be on the early stages of going blind... but he sure can see a bunny rabbit in the neighbors yard at night!! LOL

18. Don't know where I'd be if I didn't have them 2 here to keep me going!!! Seriously... if it wasn't for the dogs, I probably would not go outside! Having to get them out is a blessing!

19. My SL sister is going to be Queen!! Woot! (sneaking it it.)

20. I urge anyone that has headaches a lot to ask your doctor for an MRI... & to show you the results (the written ones). Because most doctors may see the mention of Chiari Malformation, but will shrug it off. It IS a major problem! They just don't want to tell you because they don't want to have to deal with the fact they may have to recommend brain surgery!

21. Ok, they really don't do anything to your brain... but they do have to do something with your skull so that it's not compressing that part of your brain. (That's why it's called "Decompression Surgery") ... They need to release the pressure so that the cerebral fluid will flow properly... so that the rest of your brain can function work the way it should... including blood flow... heart pumping... & etc etc etc.

22. Have I totally bored you to pieces yet? LOL.

23. Hmmm.... NOW I'm getting hungry... Nope, not for oranges! *giggles* Though if I keep talking about it, I may. LOL.

24. Drats... I do NOT have any orange juice! Will add to the list for next time.

25. I hate wired mice!! (That's what I get for leaving my wireless mouse at my sister's on Saturday!) Yes, I'm thankful that we at least had a wired mouse for me to use until I get it back! *winks & grins*

26. I think 30 will be a good number of thoughts. What do you think?? Give myself a goal & now, I can't think of anything else to write! LOL!!!

27. Oh bother, it's raining again! That would explain the pressure I feel at the moment. (See, weather effects these headaches too! ... Actually any change in the barometric pressure effects it. Think about it... it may make sense if you do. ;o)

28. Oh yeah... btw... I've been hooked on Facebook stuff, see... it's not just Second Life that takes me away from here. LOL!!!

29. NaNoWriMo is drawing near... So, I really need to get back into the writing mode! Come November, I'll be doing that 50,000 words in a month challenge again. (More on that in a future blog!)

30. One last hmmm thought... Why is it someone who used to love to socialize is now basically a hermit? (Why? Well, go back & read #10a!!!)

That's THIRTY Thoughts on this rainy 'Welcome to Autumn' Thursday!!!

~ Toodles! ~

20 years ago... a fighter was born

It's amazing how fast time goes by after you have a child. It seems just like yesterday that my boss at McD's was sending me home, around 11:00 am, so that I would not go into labor there in the restaurant.

After I went home I decided to take a nap... which didn't last too long, because I woke up with some back pain around 2p. So, I decided to take a shower, keeping a watch near by to time, to make sure it was truly labor pains.

I ended up going to the hospital & at 10:57p my one & only child was born, a son.

When he was born, they said he was definitely fed well. *giggles* I said it was all them Big Mac's! (Actually I ate good while pregnant.)

One thing I do remember during the labor was that a few minutes before he was born they jokingly asked if I wanted to way until after midnight. I'm like, NOOOOOO!

When I received the picture above I said he would be a fighter. I wasn't expecting it to be he & I would fight all the time. Though I do have to say he is getting better with his older age.

Still... he has a long way to go. And that another story for another time.

Time to wrap this up because 1/2 time of the USC vs Ohio State game is almost over & time to get it going again.

Hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane.

For my son, if he ever sees this....

TOTs - a day late

All aboard... The Rambling Train is about to embark on another trip!

Doing this in TOTs (Thoughts on Thursday) format (a day late) because... well, it will be easier for me to write & easier for you to read... because I have lots of thoughts to share today.

1. I lost 8 to 10 inches of my hair last night. Yes, went & had my hair cut... it was very needed! (I warned Hubby that after his 1st paycheck I'd bet doing this. He didn't fight me at all on this. Which is GOOD!)

2. Still amazed at how much lighter it feels to have that much gone. (See the difference?)

3. My poor hubby... he's oh so sick. We thought it was from his tooth being pulled out Tuesday evening. However, we just got back from the doctors a little bit ago, which they say it's probably a virus.

4. He's not been able to keep anything down for the past 3 days. So, they gave him something for the nausea & said if doesn't start to feel better by about 5p or so, then he needs to go to the hospital for a blood test.

5. If that's the case, I would probably have to drag him there, or threaten to call for an ambulance, because I'm sure he will try to avoid it, if at all possible. (Mainly because we don't have insurance yet. He's only 3 weeks into this new job.)

6. The nurse practitioner that saw Hubby says the sickness is probably not related to his tooth pulled.

7. If that's the case, Hubby can blame his new boss, because he was sick the 1st week Hubby was on the job. Haha!

8. Now I just have to only hope I don't get sick! We can't afford it!

9. Yeah, I know I'm not working... still can't afford the doctor's visits & medicine & all.

10. Let's round this off with something good... I'm still in shock (disbelief) that my son will be TWENTY years old tomorrow!!! Oh where has the time gone?

11. Yep, that means he's as old as I was when I had him! (If anyone is paying attention, that is.)

12. This sure has been a pretty mild summer (for some of us, for the most part)... Kind of worries me as to what the winter holds? (LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW!!!!)

13. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed this nice summer... Now almost fall!

14. btw.. I'm not going to do a tribute this year to the September 11th attacks... because I have one from last year that has all the videos & pictures in it. If anyone wants to see it... just leave me a comment & I'll post a link to it, below.

15. Though, LET'S US NEVER FORGET!

*HUGS* to all! :o)

Yeah, I am here still (TOTs)

1. If you tried to go to a blog with similar title, sorry, I hit enter instead of tab after I put a title in... so it posted a blank blog.

2. Someone the other day thought I was from Australia. (Was on voice chat with someone in SL.) ... I must be hanging around Kitty (in SL) too much! ... NOT! Luv ya Kitty!! **HUGS**

3. That horse you see above... well that is a horse I created / modified for a contest.

4. Actually, I was given the shape (it's an Arabian) & I just had to come up with the textures & so forth. (Named him Panther!) ;o)

5. That was in SL (Second Life) & yes, it's fun... but it sure was time consuming. It will be worth it if I get any type of prize! ;o)

6. Hubby started his new job this past Monday. (After being laid off for nearly 8 months.) It's going good so far.

7. In case you're wondering, he's a PLC programmer. (That's a Programmable Logic Controller)... (A control device designed specifically for industrial machines that perform logical operations compatible with traditional relay logic.)

8. If you need more explanation... Google it. (That's what I had to do. LOL)

9. In 90 days Hubby will be able to get insurance... though we need it now!

10. That's all for this edition! Too tired & too bad of a headache to do more. *waves & poofs*

They must have been reading my mind!!!

I was just thinking the other day of giving Pepperidge Farm's a call to see what they decided about TimTams being sold here in USA............

Well, I woke up yesterday to an email saying: "TimTams are coming back!" I had to do a double take & then clicked open the email... YES.... THEY'RE COMING BACK TO AMERICA!!!

*Does a happy dance... until she sees*... only in the months of October to March. *sighs*

Oh well... *goes back to her happy dance* ... WOO HOO!!! I can't wait... I guess I'll be stock piling again when they finally arrive!

One good thing about it is that I don't have to go just to Target anymore... They'll be sold at our "favorite" stores!! Way to go Pepperidge Farms!!

Now... let's all start saving money so we can sell them out the 1st day they arrive at your store!!! I know I'll be making a call to my local grocer & asking them to give me a call when they arrive!! *giggles*

By the way... I still have 3 and a half packages left from my last batch I bought before the end of the trial (I think it was March.) So, I'm proud of myself getting them to last this long... Now IF only they can last until October! that's about 7 weeks away.... I need a date to shoot for... Hmmm...

Well, since I don't have a date just yet... I can go to the ILoveTimTams website and track the boat! (Seriously, they have that set up. It's cool, go check it out! Even if you're not a TimTam fanatic! ... or already have an endless supply to them because you live in Australia!! **giggles & points to her Kitty sis**!!) :o)

Oh... they DO have a date... 67 days until the return of TimTams!!

Quick TOTs...

1. It's still Thursday, right? (Some Kitty sis of mine had me a little confused. *winks & giggles*.)

2. Just had to tease her about that!!!
(Side note: New readers... TOTs is Thoughts on Thursday.)

3. Do you enjoy word games? Well then check out the group I set up over a year ago. It's been going really good. & We're in a Special Round for a bit. The "new season" will be starting in September.

4. Yeah, the link in #3 is attached to the words: "word games". Sneaky, aren't I? *winks*

5. Oh, one last though on TLW (that's the abbreviation for the group)... This special round is basically word association. Normally we just change one letter at a time to come up with a new word. The rules are a little out dated, if you read them... but it will be updated before the new seasons.

6. Ok, I said these were QUICK TOTs... but you know me... once a rambler... always a RAMBLER!! *giggles*

7. I am NOT looking forward to this weekend... it's supposed to reach the 90
°F's (34°C)... we've had such a pleasant summer so far! At least it doesn't look like it will last.

8. I wish I could update you on job situation for Hubby, but there's nothing yet.

9. Supposed to have my hearing with Social Security soon... but still waiting on the call to get it scheduled. *taps foot*

10. Have doctor's appointment on Monday to go over all the forms that a lawyer sent me to fill out so he (the lawyer) can represent me correctly at the hearing.

11. Nope, I don't have to pay the lawyer, unless SSI approves me. (Then it's a percentage of back amount owed. So nothing out of pocket.) *whew*

12. Even dozen, will I stop now? Nah... one more thought for a baker's dozen! :o)

13. My sleeping is still screwy. It's been back & forth & it's driving me bonkerzzz!! o.O (This is a main reason why there hasn't been many rides on The Rambling Train of late.)

That's all! *waves & poofs*

The voting is over & winners can be seen HERE.

I personally am looking forward to being able to use the "Love Bridges Gaps" theme... I doubt I'll use it here... but I may use it on on one of my group or other personal sites. (Which by the way, I'm thinking of starting a brand new site just to put my stories on... We'll see.)

Anyway, tomorrow Multiply will be announcing who of the voters will win a Photo Book. *crosses fingers, toes, eyes in hope to win it!!* :o)

Have you hugged your fur baby lately??

This maybe a long blog, fair warning... remember, you're on riding on 'The Rambling Train'!! *giggles* We'll just see where this goes.

So, I've been leaving "quick notes" here & there about how we've been having problems with trying to get Coleman to eat from their food bowl.

Well, after MANY different things we've tried, he is finally eating out directly out of the bowl and in it's normal spot.

We're are still unsure what happened a few months ago when Coleman started being so scared he wouldn't eat. Both Hubby & I had to do everything from pouring the food on the floor and on a paper plate, just so we could get him to eat.

We thought maybe he was shocked on the metal bowl, or his tag hit it & scared him. So, he now has a plastic bowl... but it was still tough to get him to eat. We would even sit with him while he ate. He seemed to be a little bit more relaxed. HOWEVER, it was iffy at best.

Well, I was talking to a neighbor a couple months ago & she said only way she could get her one dog to eat was to mix a little bit of canned dog food with the dry. Soooo... next time I went to the store I picked up a couple cans. AND WHAT A LIFE SAVER that has been! Ok, not life saver... but a lot less stress!

Even though Coleman still scared a little, at least I've gotten it to where he will come into the living room and sit & watch me at the counter mixing his food together. See his eyes in the photo above... he was looking at the fork I had in my hand. LOL.

He's still a silly one... a lot of the times one of us still has to sit (or stand) before he's comfortable enough to eat. When he does finally eat, he woofs it down like crazy.

NOW, if only we can get Sunny to eat without waiting on my hubby to be home! Good grief... I think she's just getting old & she doesn't want to bother with it until she absolutely has to! (btw, a couple weeks ago, when Hubby was not home, to get her to eat, I had to give her JUST canned food. What a little spoiled brat she is! *grins*)

SPEAKING of Sunny... Earlier I was reading Kitty's blog & watched the video about how the ASPCA (?) has to put down so many animals because of over population... (PLEASE, read her blog BEFORE you watch the video... IF you decide to watch it. As she says, it's disturbing... but it SHOULD disturb you!!!) Anyway, after watching it, I went to go hug Coleman & Sunny... & this is what I saw!
I can't believe I actually got her to look at the camera! That's rare!!

Sunny just loves her stuffed animals! (I see a monkey, a bunny a frog... & that pink thing at the back of her feet, is a 'stuffed' tug of war bones. Can't remember what the other things is, maybe a bear?) Well, I shouldn't call them "stuffed" because most of them no longer have their stuffing!! It's funny when she starts in on a new toy!

Ok, that's about it for this ride. Hope you all enjoyed! Take care! (Off to go hug my doggies again!)
