When they get back from their honeymoon,
Just a few notes about the day...
My hubby was in charge of the sound... so, it sounded wonderful... (what I heard!). I was to run a video presentation before the wedding that the bride's sister had made... however, hubby ended up pressing the space bar & getting it to play.
What was I doing? Well, I was being the "unofficial wedding planner"...
The night before, at the rehearsal, Gel, her mom, & Nate, asked me to help out with some of the details the next day.
Being the fact, I used to want to be a wedding planner, I gladly accepted & I was filled with pride & joy that they actually wanted my opinion!
Of course, as with all weddings there are a few glitches...
The bride's mom made the cake & it was SCRUMPTIOULISHIS!!
The BEST wedding cake I think I ever had!! So, much so, I brought home 1/2 my piece & had it for breakfast this morning!!
Updates:
Needless to say, I am still worn out from all that excitement... keep in mind, I'm still ramping up on my thyroid medication. It will probably take a few more weeks before I notice a dramatic change.
At least I'm able to get a GREAT night sleep almost every night, with the Ambien CR!!!! So, I'm not too terrible like I was a couple weeks ago...
I'll tell you this... had the wedding been a few weeks ago... I don't think I would have survived without laying down or passing out.
Well, just wanted to give you an update to let you know I'm still around... just been kind of busy... trying to get things ready for when hubby leaves for Russia... (which maybe next week.)
I'm not ready for this!!!!!
Physically & emotionally!! Especially if he has to stay longer than a week. It will be the 1st time in about 20 years I've been alone for that long of a time!! Please keep me in your thoughts & prayers!!!
Speaking of praying... Thank you all for your thoughts & prayers for my sisters' dad, Al... he is doing just fine! The heart cath revealed nothing wrong with his heart & that it's only his lungs that is making it hard for him to breathe. (He has COPD.)
It's very hard on Gina & Renee, knowing their dad is so sick.
I can relate... sort of, my dad, Paul, had to have knee surgery earlier this year.
Had he & Joyce, my step mom, not gotten back together & she not been out in California, I would have had to be! I don't think I would have made it, without seriously breaking down. I had a hard time dealing with it here in Ohio!!
Anyways, please continue to pray (or keep in your thoughts) for Renee, Gina, and Al... (& also, their step mom, Angie).
Ok, I think that will do for today. Don't be surprised if I don't blog again for a few more days. I really need to get some house work done before hubby leaves... so, I'm not stressing so much while he's gone!
1 more thing... have you been watching my egg? My 360 friend, Caghs, has some how has gone & animated it! It's close to hatching!! I guess I'll be blogging on Wednesday to make the known what I am the proud mamma of!
Until next time... Have a GREAT week!
