Just what I needed

A little while ago I was sitting here shaking and upset about something. (Can't go into it.) I didn't know who I could talk to or what to even do about the situation. Mainly because it's something I don't like to talk about in the first place. (Again, not going to go into it.)

Anyway, I received an email from my very good friend, Passion Wolf.
(whom I've known from my childhood days and was reconnected with her a little over a year ago).

Normally (& she knows this) when I get some type of email from anyone that contains a slide show I'll just click through it so fast because I've usually seen it before... or it's not of interest to me. Also, I usually mute the music, mainly because I skim through the slides so fast, it's not worth it.

Not this time. Today, I received a Power Point Slide show titled "The Center of the Bible." I heard about it before, but couldn't remember which verse it was. So, I clicked & opened the presentation.
(btw... nice thing about FIREFOX, it scans for viruses before it opens. Though I don't trust it all the time... so, be warned... Be sure you scan everything before you open it, even if it comes from a trusted source!)

I was still prepared to click right on through to find the reminder of which verse is at the CENTER OF THE BIBLE. But then the music started & it is one of my favorite songs from Enya. Then I read each line carefully that was perfectly worded... to me, at least!

This had calmed my shaking & allowed me to take a deep breath and remember that it is God whom I should be speaking with. I need to put my problem in His hands.

As I continued through the slides... I was amazed at how wonderful the person who put it together took the time to find the most awesome photos to coincide with it all.

For those who know me... know I usually don't talk much religion (or politics). It's not that I am not a believer. For I am!!! I am a Born Again Christian! I have not been one to hide it. The reason I don't talk about it, is because I'm not that knowledgeable and I don't want to get into it with someone about something I can't represent like it should be.

HOWEVER... There comes a time when one has to put aside those fears & just jump right into the water. Well, that is what I am doing here... I am posting this presentation for you all to peruse, if you choose.

How can I not share the beauty of God's creation???

It is up to you if you want to view this or not.

I will tell you, because this was meant as an email, it says at the end to send it to 10 people... & so on... Well, if you want to share this on your blog (or via email)... Feel free to do so. You'll just need to save the attachment. OR you can link to my blog. Whichever is easiest for you!

Also, if you do not have Power Point on your computer, you will need a "viewer". You can find it at this LINK.

Ok, here goes... I've not used the "attachment" before (it's at the bottom of this blog)... I hope you'll enjoy!

Many **HUGS** to all!!!
P.S. Yes, I scanned this with AVG 8.5!!!

They walk among us...

From an email from Passion Wolf... THANK YOU!!!

Be Careful Out There:

IDIOT SIGHTING:
We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.' I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, 'NO, it's not.' Four is larger than two..'

We haven't used Sears repair since.

My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter. She said, 'you gave me too much money.' I said, 'Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar bill back.'  She sighed and went to get the manager who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the quarter, and said 'We're sorry but they could not do that kind of thing.' The clerk then proceeded to give me back $1 and 75 cents in change.

Do not confuse the clerks at McD's.

IDIOT SIGHTING :
I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road. The reason: 'Too many deer are being hit by cars out here!   I don't think this is a good place for  them to be crossing anymore.'

IDIOT SIGHTING IN FOOD SERVICE:
My daughter went to a local Taco Bell and ordered a taco. She asked the person behind the counter for 'minimal lettuce.' He said he was sorry, but they only had iceberg lettuce.

IDIOT SIGHTING:
I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, 'Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?' To which I replied, 'If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?' He smiled knowingly and nodded,
'That's why we ask.'

IDIOT SIGHTING:
The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, 'What on earth are blind people doing driving?!'

She was a probation officer in Wichita , KS

IDIOT SIGHTING :
At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear coworker. She was leaving the company due to 'downsizing.' Our manager commented cheerfully, 'This is fun. We should do this more often.' Not another word was spoken. We all just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare.

This was a lunch at Texas Instruments.

IDIOT SIGHTING :
I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the sake of her life, couldn't understand why her system would not turn on.

A deputy with the Dallas County Sheriffs office, no less.

IDIOT SIGHTING :
When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the drivers side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. 'Hey,' I announced to the technician, 'its open!' His reply, 'I know. I already got that side.'

STAY ALERT!

They walk among us... and the scary part is that they VOTE and they REPRODUCE!

Give me the strength...

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Other
My mom sent this to me via email... It's good for a chuckle! :)

Three men were hiking through a forest when they came upon a large raging violent river.

Needing to get on the other side, the first man prayed, 'God, please give me the strength to cross the river.'
Poof! God gave him big arms and strong legs and he was able to swim across in about 2 hours, having almost drowned twice.

After witnessing that, the second man prayed,
'God, please give me strength and the tools to cross the river.'
Poof! God gave him a rowboat and strong arms and strong legs and he was able to row across in about an hour after almost capsizing once.

Seeing what happened to the first two men, the third man prayed,
'God, please give me the strength, the tools and the intelligence to cross the river.'

Poof! He was turned into a woman. She checked the map, hiked one hundred yards up stream and walked across the bridge.

GO AHEAD! SEND THIS TO A WOMAN WHO NEEDS A GOOD LAUGH AND TO ANY MAN WHO CAN HANDLE IT! (Or post it on your site for YOUR contacts.) :)

Where do RED-HEADED babies come from?? (PHOTOS ADDED)

My good friend Passion Wolf sent this to me in an email & I just had to share it! SO CUTE!!!

(Rating PG!!)

WHERE DO
RED-HEADED BABIES COME FROM?????

After their baby was born, the panicked father went to see the Obstetrician. 'Doctor,' the man said, 'I don't mind telling you, but I'm a little upset because my daughter has red hair.  She can't possibly be mine!!'
          'Nonsense,' the doctor said'.

'Even though you and your wife both have black hair, one of your ancestors may have contributed red hair to the gene pool.'
'It isn't possible,' the man insisted. 'This can't be, our families on both sides had jet-black hair for generations.'

'Well,' said the doctor, 'let me ask you this. How often do you have sex??? '

The man seemed a bit ashamed . 'I've been working very hard for the past year. We only made love once or twice every few months.'
'Well, there you have it!' The doctor said confidently.

'It's rust.'

Why women live longer

Thank you Grandma Rosy (sent to me via email)

Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed."

She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches.

Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box level! s, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.

She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button

She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer.

She watered the plants, emptied a waste! basket and hung up a towel to dry.

She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom. She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the field trip, and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair.

She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped! the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her purse.

Mom then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails.

Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed."

"I'm on my way," she said.

She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on.

She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and TV's, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the hamper, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework.

In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack.

She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list.

She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed."

And he did...without another thought.

Anything extraordinary here? Wonder why women live longer...?

CAUSE WE ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL..... (and we can't die sooner, we still have things to do!!!!)

Share this, if you wish, with the phenomenal women in your life...they'll love you for it!  I just did.

THEN, GO TO BED!
