What's up with you

Let's see... I have been playing around with my group, The Last Word... We have been having a blast over there! (If your a Multiply member... come check it out!!)

Yes, I did get the new phone yesterday! YIPEE!! It's sweet! (In case you missed it... the LG Chocolate I had was having glitches & I was able to exchange it for the LG enV2!!!)

Grandma is doing ok... She gave us another scare the other day... her blood pressure was 90 over 30! Yeah... that's INCREDIBLY LOW!! I've had 80 over 50 before... but not any lower. However, I usually run a low reading. Grandma has / had HIGH blood pressure... so much they had her on medicine... but the Hospice nurse said don't give her anymore.

Her lungs sounded clear yesterday & she was getting the much needed sleep. She had kept my sister Gina up most of the night before... & during the day she was confused to what was going on. She even was going through everything & tried to give it away to the day nurse. Yes, she has Alzheimer's. Just keep her in your prayers.

On a different note... over the weekend one of hubby's buddy's was having a garage sale & had some stuff toys that didn't sell... They gave us our pick... For the dogs to tear up! So, I picked out the 10 that I thought would be best. Sunny already has one teddy bear torn apart. I will try to get some pictures up on their blog with a couple of the toys... A couple of them are a bit big & are funny to watch the dogs sniff & try to attack them!

Oh yeah... and the other day... when I had them out... Coleman tried to chase after a dog that was walking by... but since he was on a leash he didn't get far... however... the spring inside that winds the leash back up broke! So, now we have just been using the one we use for Sunny... She's good without it... only problem is the neighbors had "friends" over tonight... & they were out there goading her to run over there... Thankfully she just stood in our driveway & gave them a bark like, "Eh, you want a piece of me? Maybe tomorrow!" & with that she turned back to the door & was ready to go inside! LOL!

It's the last day of July... just means Fall is just that much closer! I can't wait! This heat & humidity is terrible... I stay indoors 99% of the time! I really don't know how hubby can stand to work in this! Ok... ok... I know, I know... it's not near as bad as some of you have it... just keep in mind... I CAN'T STAND THE HEAT!! What's strange though... I used to love Summer... NOT ANYMORE!!!

I think that does it for now. Have a GREAT weekend!!

Cell phone update...

Ok... this morning I had the "bright idea" that I may have been stiffed on my cell phone... Soon as I woke up enough to make a call, I grabbed my phone & called VZ....

I explained to the lady that I had been given a date of when I would get my Chocolate... & this time I was told only 7 to 10 business days... I, also, informed her that shortly after my hubby had received a confirmation email along with a tracking #... but this time I have not seen anything. (While she had be on hold to look at my account I turned the JunkYard on & searched hubby's email... nope, nothing there!)

She came back & said she found the order but no tracking #... & said she had some case #. She said she was going to put me on a "2 minute hold" while she called Fed-Ex to see if they had a # generated yet.

Well, a couple minutes later I get "Hello, thank you for calling Fed-Ex, how may I help you?" ... I'm like uh... "Hello? Is the Vz lady on here too?" "You're calling Fed-Ex"... I said, I was not really the one calling... but seems I must have been transferred.

I explained to the Fed-Ex agent I was looking for a tracking # for my phone... & so she tried to search for my name & address, but didn't find anything. (Figures!!) "You'll have to call Vz"... "Uh... that's who I had called... I didn't call you!" (Not angrily said... because it wasn't her fault... also, I laughed internally... again... FIGURES!!)

So... I dialed *611 again (Vz customer service) & this nice man Jerome (I think... have it written down in the other room) answered & I explained to him what I was trying to achieve... He asked me a few questions & looked at my account. (Oh... he NEVER put me on hold!!!) And some how we got into talking about how all this started... So, I told him all the way back from how I first went to order the Chocolate & how the guy ordered it on my hubby's phone, instead of mine & how the contract dates for the phones are still messed up &... well, all of it.

This guy was very sympathetic & said... "well, tell you what... I do not see an order... but I do see a case #... but it's for something to do with pix place issue." "Yeah... that was a separate thing I dealt with the other day."

"Well, I do not see an order... so I am going to do this... I am going to ship you out the phone & you will receive it tomorrow sometime by 3:00p.m."

To make a long story short I was on the phone for over of an hour with this guy & he ended up making sure I get the phone at no charge & made sure all the plans & everything stayed the way they should & fixed the dates in their system... this way hubby won't have any problem getting a new phone...
when he's ready... HOPEFULLY!!

And he's supposedly given me credit & made very good notes that when I call back to get it activated of the problems before & so on & so on... So, we'll see how it all works out!! :)

I'm remaining guarded but optimistic that this guy has worked it all out!

And I am now can't wait until I get this tomorrow!! Oh, I did receive a tracking # this afternoon! So, now I know it's on it's way!!!!! :) :) :)

Watch out Maegan & PassionWolf... I am going to be a texting you!!! LOL (I just have to remember I have a limit of only 250 messages!!!)

(The picture is off of Google. I do have pictures of the Chocolate & I will post it later along with pictures of the Env2 when I can!!) :)

Before you order your next cell phone - Verizon

Rating:
Category:Other
1st you should read THIS post so that the following will make sense. Be sure to read the replies too... (Especially mine)

Anyway... if you are on AMERICA'S CHOICE... & go to order a new phone online... you will be forced to change your plan to the Nationwide Plan... which you will then be charged per megabyte for use of Mobile Web or Get it Now.... (that's the only difference in the plans! (What a rip off!!))

HOWEVER... If you order your new cell phone with customer service over the phone... they SHOULD be able to keep all your plans & etc the same. You may have to give them a raised voice a little & be a bit forceful about the issue... because they DO have the ability to order you a new phone withOUT changing your calling plan...

Do NOT... I repeat do NOT let them force you into the Nationwide plan if you're currently on the America's Choice and use Mobile Web and / or Get it Now (Media Center).

This is experience, & over 1 hour on the phone with Verizon, talking to you!! So please... help yourself (& others) by putting your foot down about keeping your plan!

(My hubby & I have been on the America's Choice plan since we've had a cell phone... & it's just right for us!!)

I hate the fact it took me getting upset to prove to the girl she could do it... but I'm glad I stuck to my "guns"!!

Thanks for taking time to read this & I hope it will at least help one person out there!!! (Feel free to link to this so others in your contact list can see it... IF YOU WANT TO, that is!!!) :) :) :)

cell phone deilima solved... i think... and YA

Well, I stopped in at the local Vz store on my way home from the movie (with my son) today (Wednesday) & found out that just as I had thought... the Env2 DOES come with "Get it Now"... however, it's named "media center" for some reason on the Env2...

The rest of it seems to work much like the Chocolate... except the better way to text!!!

I just thought of another thing I wanted to check on that phone... if it has sometime of "locking" to keep the outside keys from being pushed unexpectedly (when put in a pocket or something)... I'll check on that later... BEFORE I call & get it exchanged!! :)

********
If you have a Yahoo Answers account... will you please go check out this question & let me know your opinion... I could really use all the advice. Thanks! :)

Verizon wireless users - need your help

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Other
As my regular readers know... I recently upgraded to the LG Chocolate (Black Cherry) (I had the Motorola E815)...

Anyway, it's having some glitches & over all I'm not liking the phone as much as I did when it 1st arrived...

I was looking at the Env or the Env2.... Only thing is... that it says on Vz site that it does not have "Get It Now"... which I use a lot (instead of web)... mainly for a couple games & the weather.

My question for you is... (Verizon users) ... what phone would you recommend... I like to text, but limited to 250 messages (I'm NOT a teen (sorry to any teens... no offense!!)... so, it's not a big deal)... I use for pictures (1.3 will be fine)... Get it Now (as mentioned)... Calendar & an alarm. (Oh... it would need to have a slot for me to use my MicroSD card too!!!

Any suggestions? (Nope can't change carriers) ... I have until Thursday to make up my mind... I may stop at the Vz store tomorrow to have a look... i'll be driving right by there.... so I might as well!!!

Poor Coleman.... exhausted me... 7-27-07

Today was an early day for me. Early only because I didn't go to sleep until after 2:00 a.m. last night... & was awoken at 7:20 a.m. by my precious, scared Border Collie, Coleman.

beautiful coleman

He hates thunder storms & always barks at them. My hubby says he's trying to scare it away. So he wouldn't go potty in the house, (due to being so scared), I had to get up & take him out in the POURING RAIN... I mean it was really POURING!!

Then our other dog, Sunny, would not get out from under the garage over hang. I had to wait for it to stop raining so hard & take her out. (About 30+ minutes later.) Even then I had to pick her up & put her in the grass so she would go.
(She's been getting really picky about getting into the yard lately. Wonder if she stepped on a bee or something?)

Sunny

That is just ONE reason I am so exhausted. Another reason in medical. Yes, I finally have found out why I am EXTREMELY tired all the time... even after 8 full hours of sleep...

It's because my thyroid is VERY VERY VERY under active!

The blood test showed my TSH level at 67.16 & it should be between .35 to 5.50. (These figures are according to the paper work from the lab. However Wikepedia says .30 to 3.0) (The doctor wants mine to be at 1.0!!!) Basically it means my thyroid is barely working.

The doctor,
(well she's actually a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP)... who has ability to write prescriptions... & She works with an endocrinologist.), said she doesn't know how I'm even functioning. I told her, I barely am!! She should see me here at home! I have to "push" myself to do even the simplest chores, such as doing dishes.

This is why the past couple weeks my blogs have been a little bleek. But as you can see, I have been trying to blog almost daily, when possible.
(Other times is because I've not been here… This is why I need a laptop!!)

Another reason is because of lack of sleep. See... my insurance through the "phone company" (the job I don't remember) finally expired last month. Thankfully my hubby had put me on his plan in January. However, his insurance company does not take into consideration I was on Ambien CR with my insurance.

So, when I ran out, I had been taking generic over the counter (OTC) sleeping pills. They just put me to sleep, but don't keep me a sleep... AND stays in my system for about 1/2 of the day... making me feel like I'm in a fog.

Well, hubby's insurance says they want me to go through a "step therapy" before they will ok the co-payment of Ambien CR.

After many calls & finally a follow up visit with the CNP she gave me a prescription for Temazepam, generic for Restoril. I have been taking it for the last 3 nights.

It is SORT of working... HOWEVER... it's like the OTC meds... It will put me to sleep (after about 2 or more hours) & is staying in my system for MOST of the day, after I wake up! It's about 6:00 p.m. before I start to feel "awake" & then it only last a couple hours.

With Ambien CR I could go to sleep in about an hour, stay asleep for a good 7 to 8 hours & wake up refreshed! Out of all the sedatives the doctors have prescribed for me... it's the ONLY ONE that has NOT made me feel like I'm dragging for most of the day!

So, just to be sure about this Temazepam, I am going to give it a couple more days.

I do have to give Temazepam a little credit, the past 2 mornings I have not heard my husband get up, get ready & leave for work. Which usually I'll wake up enough just to hear him moving around... but then I fall back a sleep.

So… the past few weeks of being sick, lack of sleep, pure exhaustion, many calls to the doctor & insurance company have made things quite interesting for me.

Oh & yeah… to top things off. Our virus scan system keeps finding a virus / Trojan… for the past couple days.
I thought before it ran today, I'd get this blog in… then I'll let it do it's thing while I go back to sleep! LOL!! (P.S. I did NOT go back to sleep! Hopefully I'll get to sleep early tonight!!)

One other thing I have been doing… is "applying" for Blogging jobs. I found a few I really think I'd excel at. Namely one for a "casual online game" community.

In their "application" they asked for a review of the game Zuma. Which just happens to be a game I love!

What's your opinion on my review… would you hire me to blog for you?

GREAT BALLS OF FIRE... Review of Zuma

One word for this game would be ADDICTIVE.

Be prepared for time to fly by as you get wrapped up in this intriguing, thrilling and action packed game.

The graphics & sounds add to the heart pounding game of skill & quick reflexes.

I could go on & on about this "match 3" game, but then you wouldn't have time to play!
You can play for free at All Free Games Online.

Score: 10 out of 10!

Here is another review they asked for (I had to choose a game on their site… & I went out of my usual "genre" of puzzles)…

Football Widow's Nightmare… Two Minute Madness Review

A wife's nightmare is this ultimate football fan's dream come true. Two Minute Madness is among the best football contest online.

It may take 1 full game (only TWO minutes!) to get used to how it works. However, you will not get bored with it.

If you're a wife who enjoys watching the football games, just watch your hubby play this captivating game. Then try it yourself! You will be amazed at the ease of this game.

The types of plays are all offense.

No download is necessary & can be found at: All Free Games Online.

Score is: 9 out of 10.

I'm excited about my chances to be able to have an outlet for my creative writing & desire to review online / casual games!!

I've only received confirmation that he is review my application. Nothing is definite yet. Don't worry, you'll know when I do!!

Now I'll leave you with a poll…

FYI: My definition: A casual game is one you can play online, with little or no download, or on your cell phone.... IE: Get It Now w/ Verizon.)

Official definition: The term casual game is used to refer to a category of electronic or computer games targeted at a mass audience. Casual games usually have a few simple rules and an engaging game design, making it easy for a new player to begin playing the game in just minutes. They require no long-term time commitment or special skills to play, and there are comparatively low production and distribution costs for the producer.
