cell phone deilima solved... i think... and YA

Well, I stopped in at the local Vz store on my way home from the movie (with my son) today (Wednesday) & found out that just as I had thought... the Env2 DOES come with "Get it Now"... however, it's named "media center" for some reason on the Env2...

The rest of it seems to work much like the Chocolate... except the better way to text!!!

I just thought of another thing I wanted to check on that phone... if it has sometime of "locking" to keep the outside keys from being pushed unexpectedly (when put in a pocket or something)... I'll check on that later... BEFORE I call & get it exchanged!! :)

Many thoughts... Ok, maybe ramblings! LOL (8-28-07 entry #1)

I have several things to talk about today... Starting with this picture... I just think I need some chocolate to go with my mood! Why do I look so sad & why am I in a robe with Kleenex's all around me... No, I'm not sick, not physically anyway. I'm just really tired & worn out. I think it's just what I mentioned the other day... It's a bad ACM day... ok, not day... week! I've been feeling quite "down" for almost a week now.

My appointment to go over my thyroid blood results was to be last week. However, I had received a call saying the CNP (Certified Nurse Practitioner) had a family emergency & they had to reschedule.

Thankfully my meds don't run out until the day after the rescheduled appointment!! Anyway, I have a feeling she'll be increasing the strength of my thyroid medication!! I was doing ok for a couple weeks... but now I am going back down! (I still think the ACM has something to do with it... I really need to get an expert opinion about this!!)

Anyway, I just thought I'd have a little fun with my avatar!! That's how I look sometimes in the winter! Cup o' tea & pink fuzzy robe! Comfy!! If it wasn't so stinking hot out, I think I'd be in my sweats still... but I actually got up & cleaned up! LOL... In case you're not a regular, or close friend, you'll know that's a feat for me some days!

Update... Hubby's hand is healing just fine! He took out his own stitches on Friday, because it was causing him pain. However, the cut was a bit swollen & he was upset he didn't have antibiotics (pills, not salve!). (Which, if you only knew him... he must have really been in pain to want meds!!!) Anyway, he had me set an appointment with the doctor from the ER (who they recommended he follow up with), & so he went today & the doc said it's fine. No antibiotics or nothing needed! (Except usual cleaning, putting Neosporin on it & etc.)

He's not letting it slow him down. Since he was off early today to see the doc, he's now out mowing the back yard. It was getting pretty high! ... I didn't do it because he complains when I do it... so, no more!

Except when he goes to Russia! Even then, I'll just be mowing with the riding mower & not going to do any trimming & etc! Hopefully he won't be gone that long... If so, I may have to break down & do it, or recruit one of my neighbors. .. who offered before I asked!! Great neighbors... wish they were the ones next door instead of one house in between us!! (Long story!!)

Speaking of his trip to Russia... He told me today they finally received their Visas! (not sure if that's the correct spelling or not... but you get the idea!). So it's any day now that he will be leaving!

I have made it known to my family, they can't count on me for anything, until he leaves... because I have to be "on call" to take him to the airport! Which I really don't mind! I don't want him to go!!!... but I'm actually looking forward to some alone time! Ok, i won't be alone... the dogs will still be here & I have all you!!! Besides he's going to be paid "handsomely" for this trip!!

Ok, next subject is FFL (Fantasy Football League)... just sending a quick thank you out to those who joined!! League is now full! It's now set to ready for auto draft. So, I probably will blog again once it's complete to let you know how it worked out for me!

Moving on... If you know me from Yahoo Answers, I thought I better let you know... It will become less & less of a distraction for me, (I hope)... at least for awhile... because I now will be concentrating on FFL & my Queen of Hearts site. Not to mention this blog!! Oh, & Nascar is about to go into "The Chase", so I'll might be starting a blog just for that, too! Yikes! Overload!!

Why am I even thinking of creating another blog? Well, because I need to put certain subjects I enjoy into one place so I can use them as examples when I "apply" for Pro Blogging jobs.

One last note for this blog... I am going to stop highlighting all my blogs! I'm going to start doing a "week in review" (Starting Saturday, I think!) that will highlight each of my blogs. (The highlighted list only works 1/2 the time, for 1.... 2nd, my list is getting extremely long & I need to have certain blogs at the top!!... The ones about my memory block!) Thought I'd mention this, so if you start to see my list dwindling down, you'll know why!

I'm at it again... Yahoo Answers has captured me!! I have to get out of there before I am up all night again! Besides, I'm not feeling too good... I really hope I'm not getting sick!!! If so, I will still be doing at least ONE blog tomorrow! (I already have it done in MS Word! I made a commitment to Maegan & I plan on standing by it!!

It's that time of the year, again!! 8-19-07

The LCC FFL Draft is under way!! (LCC = Our church's name, abbreviated. FFL = Fantasy Football League.)

Well, I went over to get a "free lunch" (Thanks BL & Holiday S.!!) because today is draft day for their FFL.

I was showing of pictures & videos to the "Dorky Commish's" wife while the 1st 4 rounds were happening.

They took a break & I decided I better leave before things got a little more crazier than what they already were!

Besides I had to go to Wal-Mart (yes, for the 4th day in a row... hopefully the last time for a while!!) & get some cleaning supplies that I forgot all about the past few days!!

And so I can come home & blog with pictures of these nuts!!

Pictures? What pictures you ask ... coming up... Instead of using their names, I am going to put the person's team name under the photo... From left to right!

Unfortunately, not all the teams made it... however, Team Petty & Coop's Troops were on speaker phone with Dorky Commish. The Skeptics had the Not Yet Studious picking for her & C-Town Thunderbolts... (have no idea who this is or where they were... but I'm sure hubby would know!)

Listening to all them was just hilarious! Well, they're a funny group to start with!! I mean, come on... just look at their team names!!

(The pictures aren't the greatest, but it works for me!!... they were taken with my cell phone & look at all the lights that were on!! Also, this was during their 1st break!!)

Not Yet Studious (BL) (& no, he was not flipping anyone off... he was throwing something at the Dorky Commish), OsamaBinDawgpound (Big Cleveland Browns fan!) ... TEASING!! , Ultimate SteelHeads (My hubby, the Steelers fan, among all them Browns fans! ...& No, I didn't see that the paper was in the way of his face!! He will like that anyway, because he hates having his pic taken!!) & standing by the fish tank is Holiday S. (S is her 1st name & I'm not posting that! She is also a huge Cleveland Browns fan ... & she's VERY knowledgeable of football... so she gives these guys great competition!!)

Been busy last few days... 8-18-07

Good golly, I have been quite busy the past few days.

It all started shortly after I posted my last blog & with the phone call you always hate to get!

It was my hubby & he said "I thought I'd call you before the hospital did." Of course my heart dropped a few beats, because I knew he was on his Harley!

So, I thought, he must not be hurt too bad, because he's the one calling me. But, that didn't stop my mind racing within the few seconds it took him to tell me what happened.

THANKFULLY, it was nothing too serious... he had stopped at work to get his pay check. (He's been on vacation since 3:00 p.m. Tuesday... he had been working close to 55 hours a week, for several weeks to get the machine ready for Russia.) Anyway, he was opening a package when he basically stabbed himself in the hand. (In the "webbing" in between his thumb & index finger.) It was deep enough he lost enough blood he went into shock & passed out.

His boss ended up bringing him down to our area (about 35 miles away) & took him to the ER so he'd be close to home.

After I hung up, I lost it for a minute & started to cry! ... Just for a few moments. I guess it affected me more than I thought!! I snapped out of it... said a quick "Thank you Lord", changed & rushed to the hospital. (Only about a mile away.)

When I arrived I said to his boss (jokingly) "He will do anything to get out of this trip to Russia." Hubby replied, "No, I'd rather on my bike." (Of course, that's the only thing he was worried about... if he could still pull the clutch in on his bike.

The doctor said he must have had looking out for him, because he didn't hit any tendons!

About an hour later (record time for this ER) we walked out & hubby had 3 stitches & a prescription for about 5 days of pain killers. (Non narcotic.)

So, I had to go get that prescription filled & pick up some things at Wal-Mart... oh & supper too!

That was Thursday. Yesterday about an hour after he took his pain meds, he said he needed to go to Wal-Mart to get stuff for his trip. So, since the meds were making him a little sleepy, he decided I needed to take him. No problem... I just had a burst of energy & had put away all my clothes that had been piling up the past few months.

So, we went & ended up going to the pet store, Circuit City (see picture for his new "toy"), Wendy's Drive Thru, AAA Travel, & then Wal-Mart. (Where we got quite a bit of stuff, including a new shower curtain (which I have to take back! UGH!) & shelving unit for our stereo & satellite reciever & DVD player!)

By the time we got home I was worn out! However, I ended up putting together the shelving unit. Hubby took care of all the electrical stuff behind the equipment & then I helped him get everything on the shelves. What chore! & That unit is HEAVY!!

Needless to say I was just looking forward to sitting down & veging for the rest of the night... However, I realized I hadn't put jeans in the wash yet. & We both were in need!

So, I did that! Then I asked if he was still wanting to go today to get his bike from work. (Remember, his boss drove him down here.)

He said he wanted to try to. So, today we didn't just go after the bike... we went to Wal-Mart, again, (my 3rd day in a row there!), because he needed to exchange the International Traveler Converter. I ended up getting new hooks for the shower curtain & a new small table lamp for my end table.

Then we went up & got his bike. He must have been fine, because he ended up going to a church where the praise band, (from our church), is playing. I haven't received a call to get him. I'm sure I'll hear about how much he really shouldn't have gone after his bike when he gets home. (I tried to convince him to let someone from our HOG group to bring it home. But, he didn't want to hear of it... which I can't fault him for!!)

So, you would think my day ended there & I started this blog. However, the grass needed mowed... & knowing that it's supposed to rain for a week straight... I went ahead & hopped on the riding mower & mowed the back yard... Then I started this blog! LOL

Well, if you've been waiting to comment, I do apologize for taking so long... I kept getting interrupted... by Coleman... & our neighbors backing around in our drive almost hitting my truck!!!

Ok, now before I go to leave you to comment... question... what does it mean when you see a flock of birds flying from South East to North West? (Wonder if they are anticipating Hurricane Dean??
