ANYWAY... my friend Tara started a Word Play game on her site. I asked if she mind if I started one here too... If you want you can play both... (Click her name for her game... will open in new tab / window.) ...
Here's the rules... I'll start by giving you a one word... the next person is to change that into a new word by changing ONLY ONE letter!... Do NOT add or take away any letters... just change ONE! (ie: crush... brush... brash... etc)
It must be of the English language... can not be a proper name. Keep it clean.
If we get stuck, I'll declare a winner & post a new word.
I'd prefer that you do only one at a time... wait for the another person to change your word before you post again.
& If it helps, your comment can consist only of that word. (Again click on Tara's name above, if you need an example of how it's played!)
When we get stuck, I'll try to find a longer word! :)

ReplyDelete"Broit" to "brain" is more than one letter change (and we only have five letters to work with,) so it has to go back to broit.
ReplyDeleteIf we try "bruit", the sound of blood rushing past an obstruction in a blood vessel, and then Kelly's entry of fruit still follows the rule of changing only one letter.
So "Fruit" it is!
Did I just appoint myself quizmaster in Lady Harley's absence? Oopsie! Now someone else has to take over, I have to go to my mom's house to say goodbye to my brother.

ReplyDeleteYeah... I did fruit on the assumption that adding the "s" in bruits wouldn't follow the rules. So I just deleted the "s" and moved on. LOL
