I've lost count now

The other day when I was really really tired, I called & complained to our satellite company about our receiver not recording a full program when it said it did.

So, what did they do, sent us a new receiver... I do believe this is #6 in less than a year!!! And so, yet again I get the lovely task of programming it with all of our timers.

I tried to get them to send me the newest one with the new fangled remote that stores timer programing in it, so that when you get a new receiver you don't have to go through the hassle... but NOOOO they wouldn't do it without $$$$!!!

Well... when we got the box, it looked like it went through a war or something. So, I called the company & asked if they wanted pictures. The rep said go ahead & take & if any problems you'll have proof.

Yep, that's the picture above. Nice, huh?

Oh & get this... on the box, it says that it basically says in enclosed is "sensitive" electronic equipment & to handle with care. Yeah... right!

Needless to say, I will be calling if there are any problems!!! Let's hope we don't have to do this again though!! It's getting to be TOO much of a pain!!!

Well, I'm off to watch the last couple of programs we have on our receiver so Hubby can install the new one when he gets home from Upwards Soccer practice!!! :o)

Toodles! :)

  4. My husband delivers boxes and at times they come up from Adelaide in a " bad way " he takes photos of them and then rings his boss and sends the photos down to him. I was helping with deliveries once and I took a photo of a damaged box, I said to the woman, that I had to deliver to that if she wants photos of the damage she could have the photo of the damage while the box was still on the pallet wrapped in plastic shrink wrap to prove that is how it had come up from Adelaide. That box you have photographed is the worst I have ever seen. Maybe they should write on the boxes " drop with care "

  6. We've thought about it... but the company we're with is the cheapest... plus they've given us some good discounts & rebates & etc!!

Customer service for the most part has been wonderful! But there are some that leave a bad taste... I just wish I could get them to figure out we need something new... NOT refurbished!!!

If this one doesn't work, I think I'll be writing a letter to their president!!!! (Even if it does, I still might write one!)

  7. What a nuisance for you and those postal individuals should have a scolding for handling it like that.

  8. Mr.Panda works for a delivery company and he's told me to NEVER put 'handle with care' or 'fragile' on any parcels as those are the ones that are more likely to be thrown about!

  9. I mailed a package (a return of something hubby had ordered) just the other day. When asked if it was fragile, I replied that it should be fine if they just care for it as they would any other package. Maybe that was the wrong thing to say? Well, the company received it (I had gotten the tracking number) and we haven't heard anything about it yet. We'll have to wait and see. Hopefully we will get our refund in the next couple of days. :o)
