Oh, I feel for you - and mine is too today. Here we are expecting a thunderstorm and I think that's why I feel as I do. Maybe you are having thunderstorms too?
Isn't that overdosing. They have a higher dose of drugs in them than panadol or panadiene. Be careful with the amounts you take. I had a " CLUSTER " headache once. You would not wouldn't wish that on your worst enemy. It is one of the most painful headaches you can get. Something to do with all the nerves in your head. Anyway I thought I was dying, literally,my kids couldn't do much for me except give me a warm flannel / facecloth to place on my head. I don't know whether it was that or the headache just went away, but I really felt like it worked. By the time my lift came to take me to hospital it had nearly gone away. It was gone when I got to the hospital.
I use a warm one, I can't stand cold when I am in pain. A cold one makes sense though, because it cools the blood in your vessels down. Either warm or cold, I think a facecloth should work to ease it if not to stop it.
I've got an old-fashioned ice-bag! 4 ibrufen - depends on the dosage really - I take a pretty hefty dosage on prescription! But if the headache is because of storms nothing can fix it until they move on.
I just received a text message from Lady Harley. She wants me to let everyone know that she is still fighting her headache and won't be on the computer at all today. (Feel better soon, LH!)
Thanks for posting this Maegan... I was doing good when I woke up earlier... but had to go to the store & now I'm fighting one of them pressure / overheated headaches.
Someone asked if taking 4 IB's was over dosing... no, it's not when the doctor prescribes it. It's only 800mg ... I had a prescription to get the ones that have all 800mg in one pill (big ones too!) & the pharmacist said it's nothing different than taking 4 of the 200mg over the counter ones. Plus I've been able to get the OTC's cheaper than what the prescription was. (side note: I never filled that & now it expired. So, now we have to get the OTC's.) So, when I say I'm taking 4 IB's... I'm doing as the doctor order.
Also, for Dezi... you may want to ask Kitty about my headaches... they're a result from the condition I have called Chiari Malformation. The short story of it is that my brain stem is too large at the part of my head near my neck. There's a lot more to it... & I can send you (or anyone) if you'd like a personal message with links to explain it better.
OR you can look at my past blogs... I have posted several times about CM... & at this moment, I too ... out of it to go look to include a link at the moment.
I'll see if one of the next blogs I do is about CM... I think it's about that time to do another one anyway. :)

btw... overheated, is because for some reason after about 10 minutes in the store I get so hot... the type of clammy type of hot. Because it wasn't like it was terrible in there... maybe because I was up & moving around... Now that I've been sitting for a while in the nice a/c room at home... I'm starting to cool down. But I still have the headache. :(
I figured the other day when it started... it would be a few days before I was feeling better.
The lack of good solid sleep is not helping either. Maybe tonight. *sighs*
I sympathise with your pain, if you are taking 800mg each time. WOW I only got dosed 100mg for my leg and the pain is so severe it brings me to tears. I can only imagine your pain if you are on such a high dose. My thoughts are with you. * Hugs *
