UPDATED Hits a nerve

This hits a nerve because I just recently posted a picture of my true self on here... I had been reluctant about it for that very same reason!

Hey all!  Many of you know what is going on from reading my 360 blog, but there is a blogger who has taken my baby's picture and posted it on her page.  I messaged her asking her politely to remove the picture because I felt weird having my son on her page.  I wasn't accusatory, as I understand about Googling pictures or grabbing cute graphics from other sites .... she messaged back a nasty note telling me the baby is hers and I need to get him off my page, etc...  

This blogger has stalked many of my 360 friends, saying horrible things and using profanity, etc.  

Anyway, many of my friends reported her and as of right now, her page is unaccessible so it appears as though Yahoo deleted her.  We shall see.  

ANYWAY ....... she also has a Multiply account and not only has she put Roo's picture as her avatar, she also has him in her photo album and has given him a name!!!  I, as well as others, have also reported her here.   This is her multiply page:  http://sheraisanangel2.multiply.com/

I deleted my photos from 360 and am considering deleting all photos here as well.  *sigh*

I feel like my baby is a pawn in her games, ya know?

Twas the night before Christmas EVE

Every year I wish for a WHITE CHRISTMAS... & the past few days it's been in the upper 40's... & so all the snow we had melted away.

I was starting to get bummed that we might have a dismal looking Christmas... until about 4:30 this afternoon...

It started to SNOW!!! YIPPEEE!!! But it didn't last long...

HOWEVER after supper hubby went to take the doggies out & he exclaimed; "It's really coming down now! Streets are covered."

I, wrapped up in my snowman fleece blanket, turned quickly to part the living room curtains... & to my surprise AND delight... SURE ENOUGH, it was really snowing and the streets were covered!

At this time, I do believe that the temps will stay cool enough for this snow to stick around until after the big day!! :)

It will be an even bigger delight if it snows on Christmas day!!!

Why is it we have to have snow for Christmas? This just struck me... what is it about a Christmas that makes you feel that if it does not snow, or if there is no snow on the ground... it's just not right?

Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement with you! Thank you for allowing me to barge in! :)

Idea - what do you think

Yes, I am still around... I've just been hiding out on my Secret Santa site. Ok, not really hiding... just been busy with it! If you haven't seen it yet... check it out... we're having a blast there! And if you like what you see, or have any questions about it & want to participate in a gift exchange (might do 1 for New Years celebration), please send me a PM at that site.

The next one I do will only be once a week. I'll be saving the daily one for Christmas time... & my thought is to do this year round... if it catches on, that is! Again, it would be only once a week though!

For those who don't know Caghs has been holding class each Friday (USA time) & has been teaching us some pretty advanced stuff.

Which lead me to think about all those who are new to Multiply & some who are not that computer technical... I'm thinking after the holidays AND after Caghs classes... I was thinking of holding my own "class".

I acted as a substitute teacher last week when Caghs inadvertently missed class... & if you'd like to see what her classes are like, you can check out HER blogs... and then check out my "Practice Makes Perfect" blog.

So my question for you is... IF I do this... what kind of things would you like to learn?

I figure I could teach you all some of my tricks... some secrets & some easy ways to get around Multiply... AND the internet!

I did a copy & paste blog for 360... but that was not really a class, like we can have here. I mention this, because those are the types of things I'm referring to...

A BASIC COURSE!! I thought I'd ask to see if there is any interest and what some may need help with. That way I can prepare the lessons ahead of time... Like are dear friend Caghs.

Here... I'll give you a one tip...something you may or may not know.

When you are looking through your messages in your INBOX & you are just overwhelmed by all your contact's contact's contacts (etc) postings... click on the words: MINE + MY CONTACTS in the "speech bubble" at the top of the page. That will narrow it down to... the messages blogs & etc YOU and your contacts have posted. If you just want to see your posts... then just click MINE.

This helps if you are trying to find something in particular.

There is SO much I can teach!! Just let me know if you're interested and if so, what do you want to learn! Then I'll post a schedule like Caghs did for hers.

Oh, I also need to what day is best for everyone!

Now, keep in mind I do not have a job, so I can do almost any day & anytime... BEFORE 4:00p.m. (EST).

If we go ahead & do this... & you can not make the day we do, don't worry... you can check it out when class is over & practice all you want! :)

I still owe you a blog about my Christmas parties I attended... I still plan on it. I thought I better mention it to remind myself! LOL

Also, I wrote up my favorite Christmas memories last Sunday... but I have to find it... I think it's on my thumb drive.

I wrote it in Notepad because I was at my mom-in-laws & she does not have a computer, or internet access... So, I took SenCi with me & typed up a storm to keep me occupied while Hubby & she watched the Snow Bowl... (the football game that was in Cleveland last week & was snowing like crazy! It was a crazy game! I don't think I've seen such a game! & The score was Cleveland 8 & Buffalo 0. Now, come on, it had to be crazy, if the score was 8 to 0!!! crazy crazy crazy!!)

Did I use the word crazy enough? I had to... I just love the zzzz's in this font!!! (Hee Hee Hee Hee... I just crack myself up sometimes!)

So, I guess what I am saying is... STAY TUNED!!

REVIEW - "Duel" the new TV game show

Again, this is not a "blast" but rather a review.

Monday I had DVR'd the new game show Duel on ABC... The previews made it look very interesting.

It was not interesting to say the least! I give this only 1 star for several reasons...

1. It took them over 6 minutes to get the 1st actual "Duel" started.

2. Waisted way too much in between the questions. (This is the same reason Hubby & I won't watch "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader.")

3. Too many commercials (even though I could skip them... it's still a pain!) I feel for their very 1st show, they should have acquired a sponsor to offer limited or no commercial interruption.

I also had Tuesday's show taped, but I ended up deleting it after watching the 1st Duel from Monday.

So, as you've probably guessed... I recommend NOT waisting your time watching or recording.

Now with that said, watch, it will be the next biggest game show. If it were to speed up & limit the commercial breaks... then I may consider watching again.

Speaking of commercial breaks... THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY COMMERCIALS on almost any program you watch. But I won't get started on that! LOL :o)

"The Note" - A TRUE Review

I say TRUE review, because this is NOT a "blast" message. (I hope this to be the 1st of many Christmas movie reviews, because I have a BUNCH recorded! LOL)

Anyway, if you have not watched "The Note" with Genie Francis & Ted McKinley, on the Hallmark Channel... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do!

I don't want to say anything about it because it will give the suspense of it away... So, just know it's a VERY VERY good movie!!!

If you're a "sensitive" one... keep the tissues handy... it's not sad, but very heart warming & touching! :)

FYI - It's going to be on again on TUESDAY on Hallmark Channel @ 9:00 p.m. (EST)!!!! Set them DVR's / Tivo's!!! It's well worth watching more than once!!! :)

Practice Makes Perfect

In the absence of our wonderful teacher, Caghs... I am starting this blog for practice for the things she has taught us so far.

Questions for YOU part 1

Ok, I just had a brilliant idea... well at least I think so! LOL... This I hope will be the 1st in a "series" of blogs.

As you may already know... I'm a curious... VERY CURIOUS person... & I like to know others opinions... I base some of what I do from your opinions...

Since Yahoo Answers is full of trolls, and I don't want to have a "competition" for the answers... just looking for honest opinions...

SOOOOOOO, as I think of these questions, I'll blog them & save a draft & when I have enough, I'll post it! Sound good?

To answer, you can either reply in a comment below, or private message me... Today, they're mostly related to Multiply. Sometimes they'll just be random & silly questions! Kind of like me! LOL :)

Some I'll have a reason after it why I ask... others, well, they'll be self explanatory... or just plain curiosity!!! LOL

Let's get started...

1. How often do you check your "inbox" (here on Multiply) to see what your friends have posted... and / or for personal messages? (I ask because I wonder if I am being to obsessive with checking mine out.)

2. When you "acquire" a new friend... do you read all, majority, or any of their past blogs, or do you just read from when you first connected with them?

3. Do you prefer the "glitz & glamor" / animated looking blogs / sites, or not?

4. What colors do you like best when trying to read someones blog? (Black text with normal background or colored, like this one is blue?)

5. Do you like it when your friends' themes change with their moods... or do you like it when it stays the same? (I am trying to decide if I'll change themes like I did on 360.)

6. (Totally off subject)... If you shake your head (as if saying "no") really fast, does it hurt? Does it feel like your brains are moving from side to side? (I'M SERIOUS! I ask because I want to know if it's normal to feel pain when doing that... I don't mean extremely hard or fast... I mean like if you're "shaking the cobwebs out"... as some might put it.)

7. Do you like it when I explain things... or do you just want to hear the main points & read between the lines. (I ask this because my mom taught me, assume they know NOTHING & Hubby always says... assume they know EVERYTHING. See my confusion! LOL)

8. Do you like the glitter graphics I use? (Well, I do! LOL)

I'M STUCK

Besides the Secret Santa idea... I have an itch... an itch to write... the problem is, I just can't decide which way to go...

If I should write something light hearted or something from my dog's point of view... well, at least what I think what it would be.

HELP... someone give me an idea... a start... a push... a little tiny bit... & I'll take it from there!

Rumble On - I mean Ramble

I'm just going to start typing & see where it leads me! LOL... actually there is one thing I want to say for sure... & that is I am working on a Secret Santa project... I hope to unveil it tomorrow :)

Another thing is, I just haven't rambled to you all in a while... I've been chatting it up with a friend & I just haven't really wanted to bore anyone with my troubles.

Troubles, what troubles you ask? Well, compared to some friends, my problems are minor. However, because it affects me, they seem more major than minor.

(Ok, I am tired, that I am not wanting to be creative with my words... so, I'll just TALK!!)

My main problem, I've mentioned before... I am SICK & TIRED OF BEING SICK & TIRED!!

I know, I know, you're all probably tired too... tired of hearing me complaining! I just don't know what is wrong with me! Not sure if it's lack of sleep some days & too much other days...

Or if my thyroid is still screwy. Speaking of, I had to stop my meds for about 3 weeks until the week after Thanksgiving because of a special scan. (That reminds me, I need to call the doctor tomorrow to get the results. I assume nothing is wrong, because no one has called to tell me so.)

ANYWAY, I have been back on my meds for 2 weeks now. I thought I would have notice a change by now... but I'm still having more bad days than good!

My bad days are days I can't seem to get moving and / or fight with a major headache. The only thing I feel like doing is turning on SenCi (my laptop) & surf the net. (With the tv on for noise.) Sometimes I'll mess around with my site & maybe talk with a couple friends... but even then it's not much.

Very bad days... I won't even turn the tv on... then you know IT'S A BAD DAY!!

On good days I have WAY too much energy! For example... this past Saturday, our yearly HOG Christmas Party. Maybe it's because I slept most of the day before getting up & getting ready for the party. And maybe it was because I was a bundle of nerves... I think that's because I did not go on any of the rides this year... because... well, I've just been plain tired, or just scared!

Scared, because I am going to wreck the bike. I mean... come on, my ability to ride at all is only from the "natural feeling" of knowing what to do. (Oh, if you didn't know, I didn't start riding until 2001 & that is part of my memory block.) So, like working on the computer, it's just going to take time to get used to again.

I do have to say, the few times I was on the bike, it felt GREAT! Why shouldn't it... it's a HARLEY!!!

Anyway, we were at the party & I think I may have over done it a bit... I just hope that those who I've talked to realize some of the "hyperness" was due to the alcohol I had. (I didn't drink THAT much... but enough for me! & Yes, hubby drove!) I just know that I feel a little bit embarrassed because I couldn't stop talking. (Kind of like now! LOL)

I did tell just about anyone who talked with me that I hoped to get back to riding this next year. & I told them I've been dealing with depression.

Amazingly enough they were all supportive! So, all & all, I enjoyed the party! I think all the "pumping" myself up about it came to a boil... add a couple kamikazes & watch out!!

NO, I did not end up dancing on any tables! I did however do a little bit of the "Electric Slide"! I feel bad, because one of my friends requested it for me & I didn't hear it 'til it was almost over!... Well, I am glad, though! I usually get embarrassed 1/2 way through the song, because I'm goofing it up or I'm way off beat. This way, I didn't get the chance to mess up! LOL

I can't believe after all these years I still remember how to do the "Electric Slide"! Keep in mind most things feel like it's been 10 years or so since I've done it, seen it, or even thought about it!

Another thing I wanted to mention is that I am in the "playoffs" for my FFL league I created! And guess who I beat the 1st week in the playoffs... MY HUBBY!! ROTFLMTO!!! This is my 1st year & also he beat me TWICE during the regular season! So, this is a big victory for me! I'm just shocked to still be in it!

I'm also in another league... a much tougher one & I made it to the 1st week in playoffs there & lost... but, it's not over just yet... they have a "consolation" brackets for the 5th thru 8th place players. The guy I am playing this week is projected to have 112 points to my measly 81 points. So, it will be interesting to see if I get to move on & fight for 5th place or not! :) Either way, I am again shocked I've made it this far!

I guess you have to be a football fantasy fan to even begin to comprehend the above! LOL :)

Ok, I think I've gone on way more than enough! (It's easier to talk here than with someone on the phone... maybe because I'm only moving my hands... when talking with someone in person or on the phone... I'm moving a lot more body parts! LOL)

I must be tired, because I am going to end it here & not put any graphics in this blog. I just have to find one for the title. HarHmf!

Cookie Recipe Exchange...

As far as I know, Patricia G on Yahoo 360 started the Cookie Recipe Exchange... I am copying my recipe here for Multiply!

I am going to share with you a recipe that's not really cookies, but is just as delicious! They're called Peanut Butter Squares. This recipe was shared to me by my mom. It was (may still be) the most sought out dessert at our local school. (The picture above are not mine... but they are the same thing!)

Peanut Butter Squares:

1 & 1/2 lbs Powder Sugar (to cut recipe in 1/2 would be 5 & 1/4 cups... 1/4 is 2 & 1/2 cups)
3 cups Peanut Butter (to cut recipe in 1/2 would be 1 & 1/2 cups... 1/4 is 3/4 cups)
2 sticks (1 cup) butter or margarine (to cut recipe in 1/2 would be 1/2 cup (1 stick)... 1/4 is 1/4 cup (1/2 stick)
1 cup brown sugar (to cut recipe in 1/2 would be 1/2 cup... 1/4 is 1/4 cup)

Mix all together & press into 9x13 or deep cookie sheet. Chill, until a little firm to, top with...

Chocolate Frosting:
2 lbs Powder Sugar
1 cup cocoa
1 stick butter.

Mix until right consistency to spread.
If too dry... dribble little milk to make it smoother. (Careful not to put too much in, because then it gets too thin!) Dribble little in at a time. Mixing in between until you get it the way you want it.

Then once frosted cover with plastic wrap & chill until firm. (If you can wait! LOL) (To shorten the time put in freezer for about 1/2 hour... just remember not to leave them there.)
Then cut to suit & enjoy :)
I like to store them in the fridge to keep them firm. Also, after cutting store in a air tight container, so they won't dry out.

(I have a note on my card this frosting recipe makes more than needed. But it depends on how thick you want to frost the squares. You can always put the extra in a sealed container & put in the fridge for later. Or use it on cupcakes or brownies, or what ever.)
