Movie Review - Premonition... 9-3-07 (entry #2)

(I'm at my brother-in-law's house, so no picture until later!)

Premonition is phenomenal, to say the least!!

Spine tingling, thought provoking, & suspenseful!! It keeps you on your toes, that's for sure!

I did end up renting it Friday night. The way that the movie was laid out... even though the days are jumbled up, I could still relate in a way that
I am glad I watched it while hubby was gone only 1 night. I would have been freaking out had I watched it while he was in Russia.

When he did get home Saturday afternoon I gave him a BIG hug & told him I loved him! He's like, "what's that all about"? Then I told him I watched the movie Premonition. He said, he wanted to see it too! (Because of Sandra Bullock.)

However, it was SO GOOD, that I said, "I'll watch it again!"

One quick note... When you put it in your DVD player, be ready to be "pulled" into this movie! Plan on NOT pausing it... (Unless you get like me, you have to stop, so that you can keep your heart beating! LOL) It's that RIVETING & CAPTIVATING!!

It starts off with a flashback of the couple getting their new house & then flashes to the present day... Then starts the oddness of this film. You really have to pay close attention, because if you don't you can very easily get lost & not know what day it is... for Linda Hanson. (Sandra Bullock's character.)

Linda does not repeat any of the days, however, she remembers everything that happened as if it was yesterday... but in fact it really hasn't happened yet.

This may help you... for 1 week, to Linda it's Thursday, Monday, Saturday, Tuesday, Friday, Sunday, & then Wednesday.

One tidbit, on what is Tuesday to her, she writes out a time line to try to make sense of it all. That is when you, the viewer, are given a reminder of what's happened. It also help you make head or tails of the situation!

That's all you're going to get out of me, because I don't want to give it away... and I don't want to confuse you anymore.

If you're thinking it sounds to complicated to watch... Don't think that! Because it is not that bad once Linda sits down & puts it all on paper. Just be sure you have the volume up when she is doing that, because she's whispering & a couple of facts needed to know are said.

There was very little foul language in it. However, one scene Sandra does drop the "F" bomb... & rightly so! But this scene is the only time she swears. I think you can relate as to why she does!

There are a couple of shocking scenes in it that if you're not ready, you'll be affected by it. Meaning, you better have tissues with you when you watch it! Ok, it's not that bad! But it's enough I highly recommend you do NOT watch this without your significant other!!

When you see this film, you'll agree with me in which I said, I am glad I did not wait to watch this while my hubby was in Russia!!

One more item of interest... if you like to check out the special features after the movie... don't bother with the deleted scenes. They're only about 10 to 20 seconds each & they were good to be not included. They were not needed!

The alternate ending is not what you think it is... it actually is just an extended version of the final scene.

There are "real life" interviews with people who have experienced premonitions. It's worth watching if you have the time & if you like to hear about those kinds of things.

Also, the making of & the "Bringing order to chaos" was a good feature to see AFTER watching the movie!!

My final comment is... Be amazed at the quality of Sandra's talent!
Now, go rent OR buy it!!
