Friday Five - Cartoons

It's that time again... Time for Friday Five... Here's our challenge...

Good morning! After the last couple of weeks of memories, what other than toys and those catchy jingles...what was more fun to do?....than watch cartoons?

Growing up mom didn't give us much time in front of the TV, but we did try to get in as much Saturday morning cartoons as we could! So, what were your 5 favorite cartoon characters? And why?  Have fun, and best wishes for a wonderful weekend.

Here's my list this week...

1. I think the 1st one is obvious... TIGGER & the whole Winnie the Pooh gang! Just love that "Tubby little cubby bear all stuffed with fluff"!! & "The most wonderful thing about Tiggers, is I'M THE ONLY ONE!!" (who wouldn't love them songs!!)

2. Pink Panther... uh... guess why! LOL... well, not just because of his color... I loved the music by Henry Mancini!!

3. Sylvester the Cat & Tweety Bird....
"I taut I saw a Puddy Tat... I did, I did!! (One year for Halloween, my mom made me a Tweety Bird costume!!)

4. Popeye... it was a great one to watch... to see him the scrawny guy win against Bluto! "Popeye the Sailor Man. TOOT TOOT!!"

5. Scooby Doo... "Ruh ro"... "Scooby Doo Where are you??" "Scooby Snack!"... He was just so silly!! (& Scrappy Doo, too!!)

  1. I'm upset! The song of the Pink Panther was to be the whole thing... not just a snippet! What a bummer... & it's not even the best part!! Geesh!!

4>The Goovey Ghoulies> Monsters are always fun :D

5>The SuperFriends>I am a total comic nut,so I try to watch as many as I can unless they suck.

  4. Yup! Bugs Bunny, Magilla Gorilla, The Flintstones, which had different cartoons mixed into the same show. Yippee, Yappee, and Yahooey-ey-ey-ey! I loved those guys!
The Land of the Lost was not a cartoon, but it is worth an honorable mention, as it was full of cheesy goodness every Saturday morning, wasn't it?
    The Sleestak! Aaaah!
