2. Why is it when I put a teaspoon of sugar into my hot (almost boiling) cup of water, it sizzles up? Can't say that it bubbles, because... well, it's very tiny ones if at all. It's just like it is increasing the temp or something but soon as I add the decaf or another 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar, it stops sizzling.
3. Did you see my prior blog where I talked about the perfect cup of decaf? It's so tasty I've been drinking about 2 or 3 a day. Only thing is, I'm going to run out soon, so it means another trip to Wally World (Wal-Mart) soon.
4. Welcome to TOT's, by the way. I give no indication of how many (or few) thoughts I'll give you.
5. I have found that I have to use 1 more teaspoon of generic non-dairy creamer than if I were to use Coffee Mate's version.
6. See a trend in today's thoughts? Well, it's about to change.
7. As for the title of this blog... well, I dropped my small potpourri vessel on the kitchen floor earlier. So, my trash now smells pretty from the paper towels covered with liquid potpourri. (Cinnamon Spice!)
8. Thankfully I spilled it on the kitchen wood floor, rather than the living room carpet, where I was headed with the vessel.
9. Also, thankful for the pot did not break & not much liquid was lost.
10. What is that thing up in the photo above?? You've got me! I received it as a belated birthday present from Grammy's nurse, JM.
11. That was SO sweet of JM to give me that. (See, my sister invited her to my party, but she couldn't make it.
12, I just got this present yesterday when she gave to my hubby when he was at the farm mowing. She had said she kept forgetting to take it to Grammy's for me. Otherwise I would have blogged about it sooner. :o)
13. No worries, for I love unexpected gifts!
14. I do have a clue about it... on the bottom it says Longaberger. Going to check out their site to see if I can find it. If not, I'll call JM... I'll post a comment below soon as I find out.
15. Oh, yeah... Hubby says it's to put ice cream in... It does look like an ice cream cone.
16. Have you heard of Tokbox yet? I love it... it's better than Skype, in my opinion! If you'd like to friend me there to be able to do video calls, send me a PM & I'll send you the info.
17. Well, I think that does it for this edition of TOT's... Mainly because I've lost my train of thought!! ... Probably because my tummy is growling. Going to make me a BLT (without the B!!)
Hope you enjoyed your ride!
Toodles! :)
I was going to suggest using your present for ice cream, but I see your hubby already suggested that.
ReplyDeleteA BLT without the B??? The B is the best part! I used to tell my mom that I wanted a BBBBBLT. :o)
I did find out that it IS an ice cream cone dish... however you can use it for many other things. Such as a plant holder. (This per a rep at Longaberger)... I called their customer service because it was driving me bonkers not knowing what it actually was.
ReplyDeleteOn this eBay listing it says it's rare & retired.
Now I'll really treasure it... & Yes, I'd use it for ice cream... if only I had some!! I have hot fudge, but NO ice cream to put it on... how does that happen in this house???? LOL!!
wonderful thoughts. beautiful theme
ReplyDeleteI need to pour potpourri down my trash too! lol
If it's a BLT without the B, isn't that just a salad sandwich?
ReplyDeleteNo idea what that gift is ... looks like a kind of vase. It'd look lovely with red flowers in it, like roses, or pansies, or something like that :) Pity I don't know much about floristry ;)
No idea about the sugar, unless it's something in the water it's reacting to. Disturbing if so ...
Ack! Looked at that eBay listing, I wish people would learn what RARE means ... just because something was only given to a hostess does NOT mean it's rare. It simply means it was not available to the public.
ReplyDeleteTo be rare, there must only be a few of them around. "Low availability" would be more appropriate.
I see listings of 'rare' items ... followed by twenty or thirty other identical items, appropriately without the 'rare' keyword. People use it to catch your attention so much that I don't even notice it any more.
Okies, time to hop off the ol' soapbox ;)
Actually, before you said, "hubby say it's to put icecream in.", I actually was thinking that. Then I thought, it would probably be to hard to eat the icecream out of it. Bye the way, it is hard for me to find my mouse arrow in all the falling glitter. It does look pretty though. I would have also thought it could be a mini vase ot a pot for a pot plant.
ReplyDeleteI actually had ice cream in it the other day... just used an iced teaspoon. (It's them type with a long handle.) :o)
ReplyDeleteMeh, let's skip the middle-man and eat straight out of the tub, I say ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah... but then you can't put any toppings on it... if you're not going to eat it all though... LOL!!
ReplyDeleteWho says you can't? Just pour it into the tub :D
ReplyDeleteWorks well with the hard setting kind ;)
