HUBBY HAS A JOB INTERVIEW tomorrow!! WOOT! That part yes... & 2nd part is they don't even want to look at his resume!! (He was recommended by a co-worker from the job he's laid off from.)
The not so great part is he doesn't think they'll offer enough for it to be worth going off unemployment... and he's not sure if they'll have enough "work" for him in 6 months either.
His tools are still at the shop & when I asked if he'd go get them if they did make a good enough offer... he said he'd give his "current" employer 2 weeks notice. He says he's still technically employed with them.
*crosses eyes, fingers, toes, paws & anything else that she can... & sends a few prayers to Heaven too!*
wher'd my comment go?.....scratches behind ear and sniffs the internet air for something fishy.
difficult decisions; but I'm sure you and hubby will make the right one. I was once told that it is better to take a job even if the pay is bad because it is easier to find another job than if you are unemployed. Don't know if there is logic in that. Also...if your system is like ours - even if the job only lasts a few months that adds those months to the next period of unemployment entitlement.
As for the interview... well, it ended up being the fact the company wants him to do ONE job... as a independent contractor!! UGH!! So, he's looking into it, because the offer sounded good AT FIRST... However, the short amount of time he's been researching & talking with some knowledgeable people... he's found out he would have to be bonded & insured... which costs money... & might just not be worth it!
btw, all... Hubby had to turn this down. It would have ended up costing him money. And so, he's back to square one again! I just hope that unemployment won't give him trouble because he had to turn it down.
not sure yet if it's great news or not...

I hope he gets the job, even if it doesn't pay as much as unemployment does. (Aren't unemployment benefits temporary?)
