If you're wondering why I've been silent lately... It's because I'm still sleeping during the day & awake at night... Until today...

I woke up around 1p (THANKS UPS! haha) & I'm STILL awake! Just very groggy still... we'll see how long I make it.

As for the new 4.0... I'm not a big fan of it. I guess it will take some getting used to. I mean we are stuck with it, aren't we? So, I guess I'll stop complaining & just find ways to get around what I am calling "fall backs".

Just looking for some opinions... So, I'm going to post a poll...

See how my rail is on the left... well, I was really enjoying having it there until I added the 2nd layer in my background... Now I am thinking of putting it back on the right.

What I don't like is because it kind of looks out of place. I could adjust the background... however then the boxes get all smooshed.

Hey all... is there anything that's been happening to you lately that you'd like to share? If it's something you've already blogged about, feel free to include a link to that particular blog (or blogs).

Now that I'm home & I don't have anything (other than writing) planned in the near future... So, hopefully I can get back into the habit of checking out my friends happenings. However, I can't promise I'll get to everyone's... that's why I am asking here.

I have my very close friends that I keep up with... but I feel bad that I don't keep up with all of ya... but I guess that's the nature of social networking blogs. You'll have your close friends you keep track of & the others, you'll read when something strikes your fancy. Well, at least that's how it is for me.

I'm still fairly jet lagged... so, this is another reason why I am asking... for I'm afraid if I don't, I'll miss it in my brief scanning of new posts. Plus I'm fighting something... I should have gotten some of that "Airborne" or whatever... 'Cause I believe that I got it from the airplane. Or it's just allergies... but I had this icky feeling before I left Az... so, that's why I don't think it's allergies.

Ok... I had been tossing it back & forth whether I should join Twitter or not. I really didn't need another blogging community.

Well, I found out tonight, it's not really a blog... It's really a way to put up "blast" messages. (If you used to be (or still are) on Y!360... you'll know what I mean.) Anywhoo... I finally signed up tonight!

"Follow me" if you wish... but I will warn you, if you're someone who likes to chat... ALL your "updates" and "replies" to other "Tweeters" are public... UNLESS you set it to be private. Only problem with setting it to private... is that those who are not a "follower" of yours won't see it... so, if you're wanting to Tweet to someone not on your list... I don't think they'll see your message. I think.

Now... why is this fun & what made me start all of a sudden tonight? ... Well, I had Abrams & Bettes (The Weather Channel) on in the background a couple hours ago... & Mike Bettes was trying to set a new Virgina Tech Wind Tunnel testing record (which he did @ 133 mph!!)... & they were asking viewers to "tweet" our questions.

Well, I did & I actually got ON THE AIR!! ... Well, my user name & my question was! THAT WAS SOOOOO COOOL, I tell ya... it caught me off guard, because it was almost the end of their "show". (Can't really call that a show... but still) Anyway... guess what? I taped it! I'll have to upload it later.

Alright... another reason for this blog is because Abrams & Bettes were challenged to get 10,000 "followers" in 90 days... So, I'm here to help... If you're at all interested in Twitter (or already there) & enjoy them on The Weather Channel... so, why not follow them.

No, you won't get a ton of email... unless you set your settings wrong. Hardly any email as a matter of fact. If you join, beware...
1. it's addicting, if you're that type of a person. (LOL!)
2. you might get an odd "follower" or two... if so, just block them. (I had 2 right off the bat. I think they were spammers.)
3. It's addicting... oh, I said that already.

Another reason I joined was because I know a couple of you are already there... AND because I had been looking for something where I could just do a little quick update without having to doing any blogging. So, this ought to be interesting.

If you're REALLY into letting your friends know what you're up to... you can Tweet (that's what it's called when you post an update.) from your cell phone. I won't be doing that because I don't have unlimited messaging. If I did... I would!! ... Though I may set it up so I can tweet while on my trip... so you all know where I'm at & what's up!!

If you DON'T want to join... but you'd like to see my updates... I do believe you can still view them. I would suggest bookmarking or whatever for future reference. Fair warning... there will be times when I have lots of updates when I'm replying / tweeting to other Tweeters. I may put a link on my home page here. (If I remember. LOL)

Oh... one more thing... off subject... there is a new Nicolas Cage movie coming out... Not much new going on with me. Just been sleeping, or working on sites, or doing house work.

I have booked my trip to Arizona (NOT UNTIL APRIL!) to see my dad. I was able to get a great deal by doing the "Name your own price" with Priceline. Only problem is I won't be on my preferred airline... where I have built up over 15,000 frequent flyer miles. I wanted to be able to add to that so I could get a discount ticket the next time... or have the miles saved up for if I ever needed to go in a hurry. Oh well... I can't look a "gift horse" in the mouth this time. I saved over 15% on my tickets.

Oh, there is one other problem... I could not go non-stop. On the way out, I will be stopping in Dallas on the way out & Chicago on the way home. My Texas layover is only about 40 minutes... not enough time for me to have a certain friend come to the airport to see me.
She knows who she is!! Sorry girl!! Besides to do that, I suspect I would have to go through security ... & being in a place I don't know, I wouldn't want to chance it. I guess I'll just have to give her a call when I arrive! :o)

The poll I have, is something I may have asked before... but I can't remember the results & I have more passengers now... so, time for an update in results. Also, I may start using my Welcome Message box as a "blast"... if there's enough that will view it, that is.

Today in my local headlines (that's a screen shot of the new version of Yahoo Mail... where I see all these interesting news stories!) ... I saw the headline: "Nathan Green is blogging his life his life away... Until Feb." ... Of course something like that interests me... so I clicked on the link to see what it was about... Especially since it's from the Cleveland Plain Dealer... Close to home... HMMM...

I was amazed at what I read... this guy is actually taking on the task of blogging once every 2 hours for 1 year. He even has a web-cam set up. It's interesting in the fact the same thing has crossed my mind... however, I would not have a web-cam or make the "journaling" like that for public eyes... (I am too "paranoid" about things like that... to be that much of an "open book".)

His quote about looking at his "patterns" is mainly what I was thinking of doing it for... 1. because of my memory loss & 2. to see if I can figure out if there is something I can do to alleviate my headaches.

However... I wouldn't do it every 2 hours... that's too much for me to do. If I attempt something like this, I would want to commit to at least twice a day. Though looking back on my blogs from the past year or so... & trying to pay close attention to some of my own patterns (in my mind)... I just don't know if I could commit to something like that.

I am having a hard time keeping the Secret Angels going. (It's been in "hiatus" since after I went to California.)... though my other thought is... maybe this is what I need... something to "commit" to like this.

My question for your is... what do you think? I realize not everyone will want to read my mundane ramblings. (More than they are now.)  ... but do you think this would be good therapy?? (My regular readers will understand what I mean.)

By the way... the poll... I'm just curious!! (I personally will not be upgrading... because I had Flickr paid account long before I even heard of Multiply... & it works terrific for me & my uses!! What happened to the B&W Party?

I don't know how long this will be, because I am getting a major headache. So, I am going to try to make this as quick as I can!
Well, no one really showed up for the Black & White blog party... so I went ahead & deleted it... Though I did save it for future use. If you've not read my blast (review)... I am thinking of trying again this week... what is a good day for you? (Please vote below.)

I need to know ahead of time, so that I can be sure to be awake during the peak interest! (Otherwise I may not be up until after NOON.) I'm in the USA - Eastern time zone... so, here is a link to a time zone converter for where ever you are in the world... so we can all arrive at the same time! It has been so cold here now... FINALLY! I just wish all this wet stuff we're getting was SNOW!! I'm BEYOND ready for it!! (FYI - When November arrives, I am ready for it to snow until my birthday! 1. After thought, was, that title was too long for my taste.

Oh, have I spilled into 360 now, with my odd ball questions? LOL

Just curious if you watch Live with Regis & Kelly??? They have a 20th Anniversary contest going on... & it's going to be interesting to see how they do this!!

I used to watch it every so often when Kathy Lee was on... now I watch it regularly. I really like Kelly Ripa! I watched her on the soap "All My Children". She really has blossomed into a wonderful co-host!!

Like most people I love watching their "host chat"! Regis is hilarious to watch! This week they are in repeat guest segments... & since I've not been working for 9 months now... I have seen them already. So, I am just recording, via the DVR, the shows to get the Trivia answers!!

I am looking forward to when they are back for the whole show!!

It's that time of the year, again!! 8-19-07

The LCC FFL Draft is under way!! (LCC = Our church's name, abbreviated. FFL = Fantasy Football League.)

Well, I went over to get a "free lunch" (Thanks BL & Holiday S.!!) because today is draft day for their FFL.

I was showing of pictures & videos to the "Dorky Commish's" wife while the 1st 4 rounds were happening.

They took a break & I decided I better leave before things got a little more crazier than what they already were!

Besides I had to go to Wal-Mart (yes, for the 4th day in a row... hopefully the last time for a while!!) & get some cleaning supplies that I forgot all about the past few days!!

And so I can come home & blog with pictures of these nuts!!

Pictures? What pictures you ask ... coming up... Instead of using their names, I am going to put the person's team name under the photo... From left to right!

Unfortunately, not all the teams made it... however, Team Petty & Coop's Troops were on speaker phone with Dorky Commish. The Skeptics had the Not Yet Studious picking for her & C-Town Thunderbolts... (have no idea who this is or where they were... but I'm sure hubby would know!)

Listening to all them was just hilarious! Well, they're a funny group to start with!! I mean, come on... just look at their team names!!

(The pictures aren't the greatest, but it works for me!!... they were taken with my cell phone & look at all the lights that were on!! Also, this was during their 1st break!!)

I'm not feeling well today.
I know something is amiss, because I'm not even hungry... & Yes Mom, I'll still eat something!! Maybe I'll try the good ol' toasted cheese.

Not sure if it's allergies or if I'm getting a cold. (Or worse yet, pink eye... I HOPE NOT!)
All I know is, my eyes hurt & I have a headache making it hard to concentrate... & don't know what to blog about today.

Though, I do want to talk about Princess Diana, since yesterday would have been her 46th birthday... but I don't think I can do any justice today. (Did you see the Concert last night? I did & I was quite disappointed. Mainly because NBC only had highlights... & they didn't choose very good ones. Best part of it was the her childhood films at the end. Though it left me wanting to see more. NBC could have done a lot better!!)

So... I'll just direct you to this site: Diana: A Celebration ... I had the fortunate opportunity to go see this when it was here in the states (in Cleveland, OH... only 60 miles away!)... on my birthday, in March!

My mom went with me. My grandma sent some money with her & told her to be sure I picked up something about Diana as a birthday gift.
I brought home the best thing to remember the day... a book that showcases the tribute. Now I'll be able to look back & remember how I was able to see all those beautiful dresses (EVEN THE FAMOUS WEDDING DRESS!!) up close. (As close as you can when it's behind glass!)
Thanks again Mom & Grandma! I'll never forget that day!! :)
