Where has the summer gone... 9-1-07 (entry #1)

I can not take credit for the above photo... I found it via Google Images searching for Summer Shadow. Finding this picture led me to this person's interesting website called "Use My Sky". There are many wonderful photos on this site!

So, where has summer gone??
I'll tell you! It's went somewhere between here & Yahoo Answers! At least, this is where I spent most of my summer! (Mainly because of my physical condition... my thyroid, if new to my blog... please see this prior posting.)

Don't get me wrong... I am glad, because I've made MANY friends!! One of them I just came across a few weeks ago. I connected with Sean from my friend Dudge's blast message. That link led me to Sean's Ultimate Photo Showdown.

Sean posts about 9 photos about one particular subject, from other users & the rest of us judge. If you wish to vote, you still have time for week 2's entries!!

Well, Coleman is wanting to go out... So, I have to call it quits for this entry!

Remembering Diana, Princess of Wales

If you're a regular reader, I do apologize for not being so "chatty" today.

I am in the process of doing many postings on the site I have in tribute to Princess Diana.

I just wanted you to know, so you're not worried!

Since hubby is gone for the night, I am sure I will be back to post at least once more!!
(Nope, hubby hasn't left for Russia yet... he's went to one of his buddy's about 2 hours away... tomorrow, bright & early, they're going hunting. Please don't comment on this, because I know this could possibly stir a big debate. And I really don't want to start that!!)

Movie review... (Bourne Ultimatum)... 8-30-07

I've been up since 2:30 a.m... (Slept solid for about 4 hours... but I fell asleep sitting up. NOT GOOD for the neck & head!)

I laid down & tried to go back to sleep & couldn't... the movie review I want to give was racing in my mind.

So, I sign on & do other things... & now I'm really tired! Go figure!! LOL

Anyway, I decided not to give too much of a review telling you about the movie, Bourne Ultimatum... because it was THAT GOOD!!!

I will say this... if you saw the 1st 2, this one does answer a lot of questions about Matt Damon's character Jason Bourne!!

Fans of Keifer Sutherland's "24" will truly enjoy this flick! (Ahh, that's why she used that picture!!)


It is action packed, filled with many car & bike chases! (I really enjoyed the one where Bourne was on a dirt bike! It was amazing!) And of course some fight scenes! And I just remembered, there were hardly (if any) any cuss words. Which pleased me!! That makes it SO much better to concentrate on the action!!

Just when you think it's going to get slow & maybe even boring... there's another chase or fight! I am not big on fight or "shoot em up" movies... however, this was a WONDERFUL film! Mainly because you know Bourne is not wanting to really hurt anyone... he's defending himself or someone!!

You really don't need to see the Identity & Supremacy to follow this film. But it does help, to just put things into perspective!!

If you need just one thought from me... while I was sitting in the near empty theater (only 3 others, besides hubby & me... SO NICE!!) & hearing no one moving or anything (except hubby's heavy breathing)... this thought crept into my mind...

This is definitely a movie for the "conspiracy theorists"!!! Actually the whole trilogy is!!

I've not read the books... however, I think I just might, now that I've seen the movies! It would be interesting to see what they did different!

Well, we watched Bourne Identity & Bourne Supremacy last night... Because hubby wants to go see the 3rd installment, Bourne Ultimatum, tonight...

BECAUSE his boss, (I'll call him, SP), will be going with him to Russia. SP said he's not sure if he can keep quiet about it for the 12 hour flight!

Speaking of Russia, hubby just got home & said it's not going to be this week they leave! Well, I have to go see what's going on!

Talk to you later & If we see the movie, I'll let you all know what I think... PLEASE, don't tell me anything about it... because now we may not go tonight! We'll see!! :)

Yahoo cracks... I mean glitches... 8-29-07 (entry #1)

(I can't believe August is almost over! Where has the time gone?? YIKES! I guess I've spent WAY too much time on the computer! Hey, at least it's kept me in the house where it's nice & cool!!!)

Today's blog is going to be short, I hope! Only because of the glitches... AND because I have a problem with my computer that has nothing to do with Yahoo!!

Anyway, I just wanted to mention, if you've sent me a message via 360 & I haven't replied... Just keep in mind, it maybe lost with many others! I've have several friends get bombarded with messages & comments that are a month or so older!

I try to keep up with them... so, please bear with me as I may not have received your message yet.

One other glitch is my profile column... I signed on this morning & I had no picture, no long paragraph, no way for anyone to send me a message or add me as a friend... At least that's the way I was seeing it. So, as an experiment I changed to a different picture than my avatar & chose one I had 3rd in my list. (Because I figured out days ago that the 2nd position was invisible too!!)

Anyway, VIOLA!! All that I worked hard on returned. WHEW!!! Scared me there for a moment!!

Well, now I have to go uninstall Java & reinstall it... because I'm having problems with other sites! So, my problem with the blogging editor may just be that!! (I hope! Because I'm tired of having to post a partial blog with a disclaimer!)

Ok, this was a lot longer than I hoped! So, I'll leave you to your day & keep an eye out for a new & improved Lady Harley site! (Well, it will be to me, if I get things working right!!)

Many thoughts... Ok, maybe ramblings! LOL (8-28-07 entry #1)

I have several things to talk about today... Starting with this picture... I just think I need some chocolate to go with my mood! Why do I look so sad & why am I in a robe with Kleenex's all around me... No, I'm not sick, not physically anyway. I'm just really tired & worn out. I think it's just what I mentioned the other day... It's a bad ACM day... ok, not day... week! I've been feeling quite "down" for almost a week now.

My appointment to go over my thyroid blood results was to be last week. However, I had received a call saying the CNP (Certified Nurse Practitioner) had a family emergency & they had to reschedule.

Thankfully my meds don't run out until the day after the rescheduled appointment!! Anyway, I have a feeling she'll be increasing the strength of my thyroid medication!! I was doing ok for a couple weeks... but now I am going back down! (I still think the ACM has something to do with it... I really need to get an expert opinion about this!!)

Anyway, I just thought I'd have a little fun with my avatar!! That's how I look sometimes in the winter! Cup o' tea & pink fuzzy robe! Comfy!! If it wasn't so stinking hot out, I think I'd be in my sweats still... but I actually got up & cleaned up! LOL... In case you're not a regular, or close friend, you'll know that's a feat for me some days!

Update... Hubby's hand is healing just fine! He took out his own stitches on Friday, because it was causing him pain. However, the cut was a bit swollen & he was upset he didn't have antibiotics (pills, not salve!). (Which, if you only knew him... he must have really been in pain to want meds!!!) Anyway, he had me set an appointment with the doctor from the ER (who they recommended he follow up with), & so he went today & the doc said it's fine. No antibiotics or nothing needed! (Except usual cleaning, putting Neosporin on it & etc.)

He's not letting it slow him down. Since he was off early today to see the doc, he's now out mowing the back yard. It was getting pretty high! ... I didn't do it because he complains when I do it... so, no more!

Except when he goes to Russia! Even then, I'll just be mowing with the riding mower & not going to do any trimming & etc! Hopefully he won't be gone that long... If so, I may have to break down & do it, or recruit one of my neighbors. .. who offered before I asked!! Great neighbors... wish they were the ones next door instead of one house in between us!! (Long story!!)

Speaking of his trip to Russia... He told me today they finally received their Visas! (not sure if that's the correct spelling or not... but you get the idea!). So it's any day now that he will be leaving!

I have made it known to my family, they can't count on me for anything, until he leaves... because I have to be "on call" to take him to the airport! Which I really don't mind! I don't want him to go!!!... but I'm actually looking forward to some alone time! Ok, i won't be alone... the dogs will still be here & I have all you!!! Besides he's going to be paid "handsomely" for this trip!!

Ok, next subject is FFL (Fantasy Football League)... just sending a quick thank you out to those who joined!! League is now full! It's now set to ready for auto draft. So, I probably will blog again once it's complete to let you know how it worked out for me!

Also, I have a separate blog started for my Princess Diana tribute. I am using the user name "Queen of Hearts" for this page.

Moving on... If you know me from Yahoo Answers, I thought I better let you know... It will become less & less of a distraction for me, (I hope)... at least for awhile... because I now will be concentrating on FFL & my Queen of Hearts site. Not to mention this blog!! Oh, & Nascar is about to go into "The Chase", so I'll might be starting a blog just for that, too! Yikes! Overload!!

Why am I even thinking of creating another blog? Well, because I need to put certain subjects I enjoy into one place so I can use them as examples when I "apply" for Pro Blogging jobs.

One last note for this blog... I am going to stop highlighting all my blogs! I'm going to start doing a "week in review" (Starting Saturday, I think!) that will highlight each of my blogs. (The highlighted list only works 1/2 the time, for 1.... 2nd, my list is getting extremely long & I need to have certain blogs at the top!!... The ones about my memory block!) Thought I'd mention this, so if you start to see my list dwindling down, you'll know why!

Now time for me to go get things set up for the big introduction of Puffy!

I've decided to do my tribute to Princess Diana in a seperate site so as not to bore those regular readers who don't care much about her.

Since it's officially the 27th in Ohio... I decided to go ahead & post today's Unusual Holidays! This is Maegan's last day of vacation... so Tuesday you'll find the National Holidays back on her blog!!

Just Because Day

Today is Just Because Day. Finally, you have a chance to do something without a rhyme or reason. Most often in life, we do things because we have to, or we want to, or it's expected of us. None of those reasons apply today.

Is there something you'd like to do, but there isn't a reason or logic for doing it? Well, today is the day to go out and do something "just because". It is most enjoyable if it is an uncommon, or unexpected activity or action. Perhaps, you have something in mind. If not, just go with the first thing that comes to your mind. "Just because" activities often come from a "whim" or a "what if I" type of thought. We know you will quickly get the hang of this day, and have a lot of fun with it.

To get you started, here are some of our suggestions for Just Because Day :

Take an unplanned day of vacation.

Visit someone you haven't seen in a while.

Knock on someone's door and compliment them for their great lawn.

Skip, don't walk.

Spin a wheel, and bicycle in the opposite direction of where the arrow points.
