for my contacts only2

My mom... one side only had a little blockage (nothing they were worried about)... but on other side, one artery was 80% collapsed... so they set up to put a stint in... but hit it with Nitro 1st & it opened up COMPLETELY!!! The doc said that it was just a spasm that acts just like if it was blockage. The doc said they went from prepping to do a stint (a very large one) to absolutely nothing! So... all is good. They're just going to add one more med to her regimen.

She looked terrific & was joking with the nurses & my sister & I, soon as she came back to her room. ... Oh... yeah... I lucked out that my sister, Gina, decided to take her home. (They both saw how I was about to fall asleep... only had about 10 minutes sleep. Now I'm up to about 2 hours since yesterday after 4p.m... going back to sleep shortly.)

Oh... yeah... I forgot to tell you all (actually... I didn't know this until Saturday!!) that Gina was to have a Biopsy of her uterus today... but after the doc looked at her... they said they need to schedule her for a DNC and / or a laparascopy... however, she did have an ovarian cyst that ruptured... but they didn't seem that worried about it that they said they won't do procedure until 1 week.

Ok... that wraps that up... I'm just ticked pink that all went well with Mom & Gina. (and that I didn't have to run Mom home. LOL) But frustrated that Mike didn't go to school AGAIN today. (That's now 12 days!! ... found out he can miss 18 all year.) Mom, Gina & I are basically counting the fact he's not going to make it. We're mad at my ex & his folks that they are doing nothing to help. (More on that later.)

Remembering Paul Newman

Knowing full well this was going to happen soon... I, still, feel awful that the wonderful actor, Paul Newman (1925 - 2008, age 83) has passed away.

He had been ill (cancer) & you could see it... though in a recent interview (can't remember which one) he said he was well enough to still race (at the age of 82) & WIN!!

The team of Newman & Robert Redford will always hold a special place in my heart. Every time I hear my all time favorite song, The Entertainer, I think of the duo in the movie "The Sting". (That is the song playing.)

There is SO much more I could say... however... I'll let the music and the links to various sites do the talking for me.
(If you'd like to, save yourself the time, you may link to my blog in your own.)

As mentioned, Newman was a racer? He was not just was a part owner of a Indy Car team, but he also was a driver... a WINNING DRIVER!! Since he was about 76, any race he would be in his car would carry the number of his age. The race he mentioned on the Letterman Show, he had #82!

Of course can't forget about his foundation... Newman's Own Foundation.

His acting career is one for the books.

Would you believe I just found out Newman was from Shaker Heights, OH... (That's the area my dad's side of the family is from... near there.) Anyway... in talking with my dad, he said he remembers going to the Newman's family business... Newman Sterns Army surplus store in Shaker Heights.

One other fact I didn't know was that Newman's birthday (Jan 26th) was the day before my hubby's. Also he & his wife Joanne Woodward were married over 50 years. **APPLAUSE**

Now, a moment of silence & reflection of the man who had the memorable, natural, piercing blue eyes... (all images found on Google Images.)

Hey all... I just wanted to let you know that my mom is going in for a heart catheterization on Monday morning... She doesn't feel as if it's going to be a big deal... however, she has been having problems breathing & other problems... sounds like her heart is not doing good again.

She had a double (maybe triple) bypass about 5 or so years ago. So... this is supposedly just a "check up" so to speak.

So, please... keep her in your prayers... & me too... for I have to be at the farm Monday morning around 5a.m.!!! UGH!!! (if I don't spend the night.)

Also... I have been kind of "quiet" the past few days because I have only gotten 4 hours sleep each night... & I can't seem to go back to sleep. If it's too much sleep... it's not enough... GEESH!!!

So.... Nighty night!! :o)

I just hope not so much that we need to put the a/c on!!

Well, that's it for now. OH... wait... I do still have those videos to post... still trying to get them uploaded... I've just had some other things take priority.

Oh... & if it's ok with my dad I'll be sharing a picture of him & my step-mom in the next blog or so. (I sure hope he will let me... because it's a TERRIFIC picture of the two of them!!)

IKE still effecting many!!

Due to IKE... some areas around here have been without power since Sunday... & now they're saying it may be until this coming Sunday before it's restored!

Fortunately, my house never lost power. A few neighbors have... and so have my mother-in-law and brother-in-law... both of their places are without power. (B.I.L. has 4 kids to entertain & so they got a generator tonight!!) Neighbors have generators running as well.

My heart, thoughts & prayers go out to all who have been effected by this monster of a storm!!

Pink Floyd founding member passes

After a short battle with cancer, Richard White, 65, passed away today.

(My hubby is a huge fan of Pink Floyd... so, I'm surprised that this is the 1st I've heard of this.)

Taking a break from Ike coverage...

It was a long weekend to say the least. Today when I thought I'd get the chance to sleep with no interruption, my hubby came home in between going to different factories, he woke me to fill out some form for medical insurance. Oh well, it was 10:30a.m. anyway...

It wouldn't have been so bad had I not been up so late last night. (Don't ask! Little of this & a little of that!!) Anyway... I ended up getting a package in the mail today, that I had been waiting for a LONG time... (It was mailed on July 7th!!) ... It was from our Australian friend Caghs (aka Kitty)!! As you can see by the picture... It was of some GOODIES!!

I was hoping to post a video of my reaction just after I unwrapped the little containers of Milo (it's like Nestle's Cocoa... or Ovaltine.) & saw the Aussie flag, (Thanks again Kitty!!)... but... well... there's a little problem with the site I'm using to upload the video. If I wasn't so tired, I'd keep trying... but twice was enough for me right now.

It's too long of a video to post to YouTube or even directly here on Multiply... I'll just wait until JumpCut is working properly again.

Anyway, at least I have pictures... Better yet, I HAVE MY TIM TAMS!!!!

I'm not the least bit excited!

As for the Ike coverage... I'm not through with that either... I have several videos to share... I will post them soon as I can get them to upload. (Maybe a day or so.)

That's it for this ride. Enjoy your Monday!!

I sure hope these links will take you right to the videos that I think are the best from the coverage during Hurricane IKE.

On this one, I believe are setting up to do a live shot, when Jim Cantore is hollering "Heads up."

At least Mike Bettis can laugh at himself! ... & Thankfully he was standing right next to bushes!! LOL.

This guy... well, I feel for him... I was watching this one Live when they interviewed him.

If you see the list to the right of the above videos... it's worth going through looking at each of them... or most of them. (You'll have to look at the titles, though, to make sure they're from Ike... unless you want to watch other related videos!) :o)

TWC's Stephanie Abrahms & Cantore, have a couple video blogs in the list.

Happy viewing! :)

Good night Sweetheart... Good night...

I received this in an email a few days ago & was going to post it, but forgot... Thank you to my friend Buggal for putting on her blog.

Just a big ol' wind bag

Ike is just a big ol' wind bag... at least for us here in Mid-Ohio... Quite windy. I have to make this quick... because we might loose power... & if we do... I doubt I'll have internet connection.

Anyway... I have another link for you... this is to Weather Underground... this shows current wind speed... well, at least it was... I don't know if one of the Personal Weather Stations (PWS) went off line or what... because it's been a couple hours since it's updated. I was watching it a little bit & I saw one gust register at 31.1 mph... (ok... now I see there was a gust of 47mph... That's Tropical storm force!!!)

Uh... it's starting to get really bad here now... I going to go find my shoes... & be ready to head to the basement. If we hear anything. Ok.. whew... just one big gust for the moment. Scary... I should close the drapes! LOL

I know it's NO WHERE near what my friend Amy went through the other night!! Still... I don't like wind like this!!

Well... I was going to post a video... but it will have to wait.

Storm Pulse that I had been using hasn't updated since earlier today. But you can see that Ike is going to be around for a while!

HERE'S THE VIDEO from earlier... before the really big gusts hit!

Ike is now a TS & heading right for OHIO

The coverage via TWC last night was very interesting to watch. I was glued to the TV until I zonk out. (Shortly after landfall around 3:30a.m.) Good news is Galveston is now in the clear (for the most part)... The bad news, for me... is, now a tropical storm... IKE is heading right for Ohio... It's expected to be here tomorrow at this time. We will not feel NO WHERE near as the winds in which our Texas counterparts felt over the night. Still there is the threat of tornadoes. EEKS!!

Be sure to check out my Nature Photo Album. I have all kinds of screen shots of the satellites & radars. I'll add maybe a few more later on as the storm approaches Ohio. I will also try to find some photos of the waves & etc.

I still have yet to hear from my dear dear friend Amy... I am worried... however, I'm thinking they may not have cell phone service right now. I'm sure she will call or sign on to let us know soon as she can!

Anyway, I am heading off to a "ball" on SL (Second Life)... Yeah, I am still playing on SL... I have a family now... Well, you all know them!... MamaDi, is our mom; Caghs is my sister; Katha is my aunt... & Kartor is DaddyK.

I will try to post some video of the previous Queen's Ball we went to later on... & I'll post more on it then!

*Choo Choo* (that's my wave bye bye now!)

Hurricane Ike updates

From space, Hurricane Ike is a beautiful site. (Photo from Yahoo Photos.) However, it's an ugly & deadly storm on land.

I am involved in this hurricane more than usual, because my very dear friend, Amy (aka Autumn) is right in Ike's path. Don't worry, she & her family has evacuated. She has been calling me every so often & last I talked to her (around 7:30p) they were not getting any rain yet, however, it was very windy. And they have not lost power.... YET!

My heart, thoughts & prayers are with all those that may be in harms way.

P.S. I have added even more photos to my "Nature Album".

The almost PERFECT storm

Even though Hurricane Ike may only be a Cat 2 (at the moment! Winds are only 5 mph away from being a Cat 3!!!)... but it's wind field is much wider than Katrina! Being over 200 miles South East of Galveston, Tx... they are already receiving 17ft waves at the coast.
(Picture is from last night, when it was over 400 miles away.)

In watching TWC's Jim Cantore's live report from the area... I saw anger! "They don't know what they are dealing with!"... Because there are people NOT heeding their warnings. (If you click the link & it doesn't go directly to that report... then scroll down the list on the right.. & Look for the title being his underline quote above.)

Not only are the residents of Galveston not evacuating... but many are going to the coast & driving down the boardwalk road. It is being hammered with waves & starting to bring debris up & across the road! Some are actually out standing at the wall & getting hit with the waves & getting knocked over. Cantore's frustration could be felt just by watching & listening to his description of what is happening & what will happen!

Galveston is ALREADY experiencing flooding!! And to think, only about 1/2 the people evacuated! Are you NUTS?? This is a KILLER STORM!! I heard on the radio the National Hurricane Center (NHC) is calling this as bad, if not worse than Katrina!

Storm surge is expected to be about 20 feet & that does NOT include the waves!! ... The waves are expected to be at least 30 feet!!

Please if you're in the area... GET OUT... & GET OUT NOW!!! It's NOT too late... No more time to wait!
Also, as Ike reaches land, it's expected that even all the way up in Dallas will be experiencing tropical storm force winds. (That's about 75 mph!!)

More updates later... Stay safe!!

P.S. The 1st 2 pictures are from last night. The other is today. Looking at the top picture is why the title about this being almost the Perfect Storm... I mean look at it... it's the shape of a true hurricane symbol. It's just missing a well defined eye at the time.

I'll be posting all my screen shots in my photo albums here shortly... so, scroll up & click on "Photos" to see my albums.

This is the most recent satellite image...

A few different views.

This sis a simulation of the plane hitting the Pentagon.
(Skip forward to about the last 30 seconds, since it's over 8 minutes long.)

About 7 minutes long.

Here is a link to the TIME LINE of 9-11-2001.

This one includes video from Pennsylvania & the Pentagon.

IKE .... & tomorrow is September 11... a day not to forget!!

I believe I am going to go "silent" tomorrow. Except for answering a few messages... I think I will take the time tomorrow to reflect.

If I post anything tomorrow... it will be tribute blogs like I did last year. Just as a reminder.

I'll try to find the ones from last year & link them in this blog... but later on.
Have a GREAT Wednesday... & DON'T FORGET tomorrow!!!!!

P.S. Also... HURRICANE IKE is getting stronger... and it's heading more north than they thought yesterday!! Please... Please... if you're on the coast... keep any eye on this storm!! Here's that one link again that I found the other day... from StormPulse... It's a great one... especially for tracking!

End of the world on 9-10-08??? aka Searching for "The God Particle"

This is what my hubby heard... & He just TELLS ME NOW??? LOL!!

He was watching the History Channel & there is something called a Large Hadron Collider that's going to be "turned on" tomorrow.

So here I am to provide you with some link on this. You can draw you're own conclusion. (I semi paid attention to the program... comes to this stuff... I kind of space out. (no pun intended!))

This one is a LIVE BLOG ... well... that's the title as some interesting stuff. Including a link to a live webcast.

The Physics and Physicists blog.

The Wired Blog Network.

I guess for those in Europe & give us in the US the heads up if anything goes wrong... since this LHC thing is there!

(Hubby just gave me a quick synopsis... think nuclear is all I can really say. He also says some media is reporting that theorists are saying "It's the end of the world" because they don't thing that once they start "exploding the corks" that they won't be able to stop it AND won't be able to contain it. I guess we'll see!)

Ok... you can also Google it. (Just like I did... & that's how I got the picture!)
Happy reading! :)

Another great link for tracking hurricanes...

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Other
This was part of a link that my dear friend Amy Sunshine sent me... It's no secret... she lives in Tx... & so, she's keep an eye on Ike just like the rest of the gulf.

Anyway, StormPulse is one of them "techy" sites that I love so much! There is so much you can learn about the hurricane from it.

I encourage you to bookmark it if you live on any coast!! If you don't live on the coast... I still encourage bookmarking!! It's THAT great of a site... & I've only just begun to scratch the surface of it! (Meaning, still checking out what all it does!)

When you do visit this site... slide your mouse pointer over one of the cities & hold it... you'll get a line from the hurricane / storm to that city... Then just above the information about the hurricane it will pop up the distance!!! SO COOL!!

Right now, Ike is 1024 miles from Corpus Christi, Tx!! & Heading that way!!

Enjoy!! :o)

Pillow fight

Time for another trip on The Rambling Train...

As most of you know by now, my son Mike, has his own little apartment. (Oh, before I forget... he's going to be 19 THIS FRIDAY!!!)

It just so happens this little place he has is owned by my sister Gina... It's just a one room apartment... an efficiency. His rent is paid with the Social Security that he receives... My mom, actually takes care of that for him. He has a food card so that he can have groceries.

However... he also had been going to the farm during the week to "catch the bus" to get to school. (He's elected to go back to 11th grade so he can attend the "Tech" school to get a High School diploma from them in the course of Welding... I'll get back to this in a moment.)

Anyway, last week he had not gone to school 3 of the 4 days (don't forget, Monday last week was Labor Day, no school), only because he would not get up. (Being 18, it's been decided it's his choice to get up or not, she will not push him.) So... my mom said "That's it"... you're not coming back to the farm for at least a week. It's not the only reason... The other is, she couldn't "keep up" with him. Meaning he would make a total mess of her house. And to get him to clean up his mess is like pulling teeth... without Novocaine!!

Soooo... he calls me Saturday & wants me to take him to get food for his apartment. No big deal, right... well it wasn't too much until we were on our way back to his place when he realizes he forgot his pillows at the farm. I call Mom & nope, she isn't going to bring them to him. (I didn't think so!) I told him, I'd be over there the next day & I'd pick them up for him.

Well, when we got to his place I helped him upstairs with the bags & I had told him we were going to clean up the trash he has strewn all over. I did warn him though, if I got grossed out, I wasn't staying... Yep... I got grossed out... (It doesn't take much.)... So, I told him he is to pick up the trash & get it ready & I'd bring it back to my place for trash night on Monday. (That's TODAY!)

So... here's where the "fight" part comes into play... I did get his pillows from the farm Sunday. I had warned him, that if he did not have 2 bags of trash (HIS trash) ready for me to pick up, that I was not going to stop with his pillows. (I'm keeping them for ransom... payment 2 bags of trash... uh... sounds like I'm getting the raw end of the deal!)

I called yesterday around 1:00p.m. & he was still sleeping. Asked if he got any trashed picked up & he said he had gone to bed shortly after I called him the night before. (Which was about 6:00p.m. Saturday... I thought it was 10... but just looked NO... it was 6:00!! GEESH!) Anyway... at 1:00 I told him that I'd call back in a few hours to see if he was ready for me to come pick up some trash.

(Now, please... it would be something if the garbage was already in bags... but nope... it's all over the apartment floor... I am serious! He's lucky he has no critters running around. (at least I hadn't seen any signs... YET!) He's lucky all I have seen is them little pesky fruit flies.)

(Oh... yeah... I'm posting this here instead of on my private blog (R.E.D.) because I'd like some feedback from others.)

Back to the "pillow fight" though... I called him again close to 6:00pm on Sunday night (24 hours after he supposedly went to sleep on Saturday night... uh, I really find this easy to believe! LOL) & he said he was still sleeping. Ok... that's 24 hours he had been sleeping! ... I said, "Ok, I'm keeping the pillows." He whimpered a tiny bit & said. "Oh, ok." ... I told him I was serious... & I reminded him that he was to call Aunt Gina to let her know when he was ready to be picked up for school the next day.

(Since Mom kicked him off the farm, so to speak, someone needs to take him to school... because he's not in the area where the bus would get him.)

I got a call from Gina a little while ago asking me if I can take him to school tomorrow. (She'd pay for the gas.) He did make it today. (Whew!) Oh... she knows about the trash deal... though she has yet to see the place... I really think she'd be horrified... especially being the landlord... AND because there are 2 other floors (as apartments) to the house!!

So, with that settled, we had to get a hold of Mike to let him know what was going on. The stinker still had his phone off from being at school.

Finally I was able to reach him... but guess what... that's right, no trash ready yet! I told him then I will be keeping his pillows for at least another week. Unless he gives 2 bags of trash to me tomorrow... "No, I'm going to bed now."

I did tell him, he has the opportunity to get them back IF he gives trash to Aunt Gina this week. (She can take it to the dumpster at the farm. I do not want his trash sitting in my garage for a week! As I'm sure my hubby wouldn't either!)

So, he has been told and told and told and asked and asked to clean up his place... and I've offered to help several times. But nope, he still has a complete & total disaster. Now, mind you... he will be 19... yes, he's a teenage boy... & yes, he's on his own & of age... however... his "mind" is that of a 9 year old. (Or younger at times!) We suspect he has a form of Autism... so we HAVE to do things like hold his pillows for bags of trash ransom! It's the only way he is going to learn!

Now that you know the "whole story" (sort of) do you think I am right for holding his pillows "ransom"? Or should I just cave in & let him figure it out on his own?

Please also keep in mind, when I was his age, I became pregnant with him. (Well, actually, it was when I was 3 months from my 20th birthday!)... I think you get the point!

I know, I my apartment was unkempt when I was his age... but I KNEW BETTER not to throw food on the floor & leave it there for MONTHS! Actually... the only problem I had was with just paper trash & clothes all over. And I didn't wash dishes often.

I do still have trouble putting things away... however... there is no FOOD on the floors. (I hate pesky critters... unless they my 2 doggies! LOL)

Ok, I guess I best pull this train into the station... I will need to be able to hear the phone ring tomorrow at 7:15 a.m!

Oh... wait... that's the deal we've made with Mike... HE is to call to let us know he's ready. We are not to call him! That's just another lesson of responsibility he's being taught. If he really wants to get his diploma, he has to make arrangements. Since he's not allowed back on the farm... he has to make the call & so on.

Speaking of... this Tech School he's going to will NOT put up with him not showing up. This is a school that is trying to prep you for a job. They will only allow him to miss 10 days... & we believe it's for the ENTIRE school year... Well, he's already missed 4 already! (3 last week... & 1 the 1st week of school.) All because he didn't want to get up & go.

He says he really likes the classes & all... & he's excited about it... but he's not showing it in his actions! I do hope he makes it... however, I really think we should be looking at the alternative. Getting him on permanent disability... and finding him a place that can help him... an "assisted living" type of place.

Is there such a place like that for kids his age? He's still a kid to me!! As I'm sure I'm still a kid to my dad... & I'll be 40 (eeks!) in March!!!

Ok... someone please reach up & pull that emergency brake! This train is speeding out of control!

For any new readers... Now you know why this is called.... THE RAMBLING TRAIN!!!

Memories abound - Homecoming Celebration

Tickets... Tickets please. Time for a trip on "The Rambling Train!"

As mentioned in the previous blog, today I headed to the church in which I grew up.

I'll have some pictures in my photo albums... just of inside the church.
(This one to the left is one of the 6 stained glass windows at the church. This is my favorite of all them.) But for this blog, I have some videos of my day!

Oh... after service they passed the microphone around & we were asked to talk about ourselves & tell what our favorite memories were about PVLC (yeah, abbreviated) ... Well, the mic was handed to me & I got nervous... I rambled (as usual) & I totally forgot to mention what I remember the most. (My friends from the church are reading this... I do apologize for that, it was nerves!!)

2 things I remember the most about this little church, was the song... and the other was Pastor S. playing the violin every Christmas. Pastor S. has since retired. Unfortunately he was not there today. However, many other past members were. There is also a couple that there that just celebrated 60 years of marriage. The husband has been a member of the church the longest, 70+ years!!

Oh, I just thought of something else about Pastor S... he would always give you the firmest handshake as we walked out after the service!

It was nice to visit with everyone. There was even a group photo. Once I receive it, I'll post it, if I'm allowed! :)

Also, to my delight (& many others) the song "The Church in the Wildwood" was one of the songs we sang. To keep from crying I brought out my phone & took a video... It will be below as well! :)

Ok... let's get this started with my trip down memory lane...

This 1st one I forgot about the angle... don't tilt your head... it's just of me driving down in "the valley" while the song "God of Wonders" is on the radio!

These next few... well, you'll see!! LOL

Yep, short & sweet on a couple of these. It was crazy, because I was already late... & On my way out the road my mom comes racing down & is in a rush because she was trying to get her jeep back to the garage... because it was starting to rain & her driver side window was not working (or was broken out. I didn't take time to ask.) So, anyway, I had to back up (good thing it's a country road! LOL) & pick her up & drop her off to use one of Gina's cars. (Keep in mind Mom & Gina all live on the farm (different houses)... (the lane is a 1/2 mile long... so, they're a bit separated! LOL)

The above is my sister's niece, sort of, from Kenya, Africa. (I say sort of because her mom is actually just a friend of Gina's hubby!)

Here's the church!

This is the song that is so fitting for this church. (The Church in the Wildwood. <~~~ Lyrics.)

All & all it was a great day of memories! I hope you enjoyed this trip on the Rambling Train (& down memory lane!)

Well, our wonderful Kitty Cat has done it again... She done thunk up a great idea to drill the point home to Multiply that we don't like that P to "brand" us for having a Premium account. (Well, when I say "we"... I mean those who have upgraded.)

Anyway, Caghs has gone & put a B on her headshot... & she's helping others put a letter of choice on there's. (I'll have one on mine soon!!) (I have mine now... It's R for RAMBLER!)

So... with that said... Multiply has a poll listed for you to vote on if you like the idea of a letter to show you've upgraded (or not!) EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT upgraded, you can still vote. Just CLICK HERE!!! :o)

P.S. Caghs says for those who'd like one of their own are to send her a PM with your letter & color choice.

What? I'm a human? (answer as to why that message)

Ok... I have a contact who works at Multiply (don't ask for the name, I won't give it. Mainly because I bug this person enough! LOL)... & here's the answer why some of you get a message verifying you're a human.....

*******
You only get that message if your computer is loading an extraordinary number of pages from Multiply at once. This usually suggests that the user either 1) is using some type of "accelerator" program or browser plugin that's designed to load all the links on the page they're currently viewing in the background so that they load instantly when they click, or 2) some form of spyware that repeatedly hammers pages in a similar manner.

Either way, these peoples' computers place an extraordinary amount strain on servers and they need to disable whatever is doing this, as they're using resources that would otherwise be making Multiply faster for everyone. So here are some suggestions:

* Run a spyware check on your computer, especially if you use Windows. There are a bunch of free programs for doing so (but I'm not up to date on which are the good ones to use these days). Something you're not aware of could be accessing pages on the Internet, including Multiply.
* See if you have any browser plugins or "accelerator" programs on your computer (these typically claim to make browsing faster) and disable them. They are able to do this by using servers in an abusive manner, loading tons of links that you haven't actually clicked, but might. (These might also mess with viewing histories on Multiply, making a contact of yours think that you've viewed a post of theirs that you haven't.)
* If you're not sure how to check for these programs or plugins, it might be a good idea to try a different browser and see you can surf using that without bumping into the 'verify' page. (For instance, try Internet Explorer if you're having trouble with Firefox, Firefox if you're having trouble with IE. There's also Opera, Safari and so on.)
* Or, if this doesn't work and you have access to another computer (work? public library? friend's house?), maybe try your account there, to see if the problem persists, for the purposes of troubleshooting.

Ok, does that answer it for you? I know, some of you are like, HUH? Tell you what... just run an ANTI-SPYWARE search... & clear off anything it finds. I'll warn you, it may find a ton of "tracking cookies" you 1st time around... but those are (I was told) pretty harmless... but still good to clear them every so often.

I personally have yet to get this message. *knocks on wood*. So, I can't really be of any help beyond this.

(OH.... a link to a good ANTI-SPYWARE program is AVG by Grissoft.

Hope this helps! :)

Right now I just wanted to do a quick note that today I am going to a church "homecoming"... It's from my church where I grew up. I hope to be able to get some pictures & maybe even a video blog about the "Church in the Wildwood" (that's a song that I think describes this church.)

Got to run... need to eat & then get ready!

Have a GREAT Sunday all! :)

Do you look at the home pages of your friends?

Rating:★★★★★

I have to admit... I tend to forget to look at home pages of friends a lot of the time... I usually am just clicking on their latest blog via my inbox updates.

Well, in case you're like me... I just wanted to post a quick note saying I've updated my front (home) page.

That's all! Have a great day! :)

Can you at least pick a winning team?? (Yeah, football talk!)

Yeah... that time of the year again! Time to talk some more football!

Not only am in TWO fantasy leagues where you have to pick players (& commish of one of them)... I also have a league (which I commish) in which you pick the winning team each game for each week.

Honestly, it's EXTREMELY easy!!!

Why am I trying to "sell" this?... because... I need at least TWO more players to sign up for the league... why? Because the top 3 winners at the end of the season gets trophies in their profiles... as long as I have at least 6 users signed up!!

So, if you'd like to give it a try... CLICK HERE...
Group id is: 27435
psswd: 2008pfp

The max amount of players we can have is 50!! I've also posted this in Yahoo Answers... however, I'd rather compete against my friends!!

If at least 2 of you sign up, I will hurry up & delete my Yahoo Answers question!!!!

So... HURRY UP & CLICK THAT LINK ABOVE & sign up!!! Please??

A name for the voice

Rating:
Category:Other
Sadly the voice, Don LaFontaine, so well know for movie trailers voice overs & other such things has passed away.

Here is Yahoo's story. (ABC has a clip out there somewhere if you don't recognize the name.)

NEWS FLASH: Tanker truck dangles from highway bridge

I just saw this in my news flashes.

I wonder if hubby heard it this morning while getting ready for work. Or maybe even saw some of the commotion on his way past this highway. (I just looked... it's the bridge before the one he goes under! EEKS!! And it happened about the same time he would be going under!!)

Read the story & then look at the pictures & information on the right side. & Click the photo gallery farther down on the right.

Yeah, this is the same story as I just posted in the review section (if you saw it before I deleted it.) Had to move it here so my dad can see it... (FYI... he only looks at my journal entries.)

I'll update when hubby gets home from work... (probably just down in a reply below!!)
