going back to night shift phase

Say what?... Yeah... I'm trying to get myself back into a "night shift" mode... Only for a short time though.

I'll be going to the farm to Grammy-sit on Monday night... & because I know she is up every couple hours... I am trying to get myself to where I can be awake during the night.

I told my hubby last night that I will be sleeping during the day the next few days, so that I am not sleep deprived like I was the last time. That was just awful the last time!

Then next week, I'll probably be trying to get myself shifted back to sleeping at night.

It's a good thing I don't have a regular job. LOL!! If I did, I would not have been asked.

On a separate note... I was in SL tonight dancing at a "ball". It was fun... & I still wish I could afford the type of clothes that I wear! And I wish I could fit into them too!! LOL!!!

This is me by the fireplace in the ballroom.

Oh, & to be able to dance like our avatars do too... that would be something!!

Night all... I'm going to sit back & watch a little TV... time to start getting my mind set to sleep... in an hour or so! Hee hee!!!

I'm actually a DECAF

It's strange... I was going through some of my old blogs from Y!360 & saw this blogthing quiz & decided to take again to see if I get the same answer... Oddly enough, I don't... So, if you've taken this one before... see if you get the same answer as before...

You Are an Iced Coffee

At your best, you are: energetic, modern, and athletic

At your worst, you are: too hyper and annoying

You drink coffee when: you're out with friends

Your caffeine addiction level: medium

This is what the original result gave me... & it's more fitting to me than the above! (Not sure what happened to the picture... but still you get the idea!) :)

You Are a Frappacino
At your best, you are: fun loving, sweet, and modern.

At your worst, you are: childish and over indulgent.

You drink coffee when: you're craving something sweet.

Your caffeine addiction level: low

P.S. I'll do a thing on the Y!360 closing later on... once I figure out how the downloading to my computer does. (& when my mind is more awake!)

5001 miles in one day (estimated)

Today's ride on The Rambling train will start in Monte Carlo, Monaco then across the Atlantic Ocean to Indianapolis, Indiana & then travel south to Charlotte, North Carolina all in one day.

This is one day of the year that I don't mind watching racing ALL DAY!

We start the morning off going through the tunnels of Monte Carlo, Monaco in a Formula 1 car in the one of the coolest F1 races of the year. (The Grand Prix of Monte Carlo.)

Then over 4568 miles we travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, USA for "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing", for the Indy 500. Where 33 drivers will be competing to have their face embroiled upon the Borg-Warner Trophy.

Who will be the first one to cross the most famous yard of bricks under the checkered flag??? Who will get to take part of the Indy 500 most renowned traditions and take a sip of what is probably the best tasting milk they ever tasted? (The picture linked is of last year's winner, Scott Dixon.)

Will it be the favorite female driver, Danica Patrick or the young 2nd generation driver, Graham Rahal, or will Helio Castroneves be giving Team owner Richard Penske his record breaking 15th win & doing his trademark victory fence climb celebration???

Only time will tell.
(Since I was distracted before I could finish this blog, the race has completed... but I will not spoil it for you.)

But wait, that's not all... that's not the last trophy to be given away today... Onto Charlotte, NC we go for the LONGEST race in the Nascar season.

433 miles south east of the Brickyard is where Ryan Newman will lead 42 other Nascar Sprint Cup Drivers to the start of the Coca Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway... if it's not rained out that is! So far it looks like the track is surronded by rain. Hopefully they'll go into "hurry up" mode & start the race early!!

You know that I am pulling to see another trademark victory celebration... Carl Edwards doing a back flip off his car!!

It's a (tv) marathon of approximately 1262 miles (162 miles in Monaco; 500 at Indy; & 600 in Charlotte.) of racing in one day... and.. I'm enjoying each & every 678 laps! (78 laps in Monaco, 200 in Indy & 400 in Charlotte.)

Have a save & Happy Memorial Day!

All images found on Google. (Except the last one... it's from my usual, Glitter-Graphics.com)

Did you like it??

Category:Other
This is one time I'd like to see the rating (stars) used in your comments... I'd like to know if you enjoyed the quiz answer winners list... and would you like to do it again?

Only thing is I have to come up with more questions! LOL!! :o)

I don't know about you all... I just had fun handing out the prizes!
(Next time I promise, I won't hide it in an unrelated title!) :o)

The Winners

(Dad, you can ignore this blog.)
Ok, I am REALLY sorry this is so late... But, I hope it's worth the wait!!

In case you missed it, I had a quiz to see how well you know me / were paying attention to my blogs. Then the other day I posted the answers... but was too tired to get the winners & prizes listed.

So, that's what is on tap for today.

I had 6 passengers try to remember as many details as they could. Not only did a few of you surprise me... but most of you made me laugh at some of your answers! A+++ for effort!!

On with it you say... well, ok... I'll warn you, it was an upset, at the last possible moment!!

With the score of 4.5 points & 6th place is: Niki  (Don't be ashamed, I'm not!!! You have not been around lately & some of the questions you would not have known because of your absence. Btw... WELCOME BACK!!)

In 5th is Jo with 5.0 points (you're a new passenger & I'm amazed!!!)

Amy ended up in 4th with 10.5 points... (girl, I know you were distracted... & I know you know me, so no worries! (HUGS))

Third is Maegan... She pulled in with a whopping 18.5 points!!!

Second place goes to Kitty with 19.0 points... You & Maegan were tied until you said that CCMIC was Chocolate Chip MOCHA Ice Cream... So close... yet not exactly it... but it worked good enough to get you an extra 1/2 a point.

Just leaves ONE person & with 5007.5 points
(how out of 20 questions? Well, it's my blog & I say so!!!)... LOL!!!

Drum Roll please....

FIRST Place goes to DORY (prize below)!!! WOO HOO!!! Girl... You pulled it out at the last second... you were in 4th place with 7.5 points... but you're correct answer of Chocolate Chip MINT Ice Cream gave you 5000 extra points!!!

You win a (virtual) LIFETIME supply of Chocolate Chip Mint Ice Cream!!! YAY!!!!

Since you're all winners in my book, just because you're my friend... you'll find a prize attached to your name!!! Thank YOU & Enjoy your goodies!

P.S. If for some reason you don't like your prize, let me know & I'd be happy to exchange it for you! :)

Jumpcut is closing! I should have known that a wonderful tool such as this... ran by Yahoo would eventually close.

Glad I didn't upload but a few videos. But now, I have to find a new place that will allow me to upload videos (some are near 10 minutes worth) AND make them private AND yet still allow me to share with others by just giving them the link, or embedding in my blog.

YouTube forces you to make your videos public or only visible to friends connected with you on YouTube...(Please correct me if I am wrong.) It's such a pain... because there are times I just want to share a video with friends here on Multiply... yet, I can't upload anything more than about a minute & a half. (Unless it's changed recently.)

So, if anyone else knows of any other sites that allow larger video uploads, please let me know.

Thanks.

I have decided to revisit how I use Facebook.

So, I'm wondering, for those who use FB, what do you utilize it for?

(If you're viewing this & not a Multiply member, you still can vote, just won't be able to leave any comments.)

1. To keep in touch with family & friends from school, church, work, & etc. (Including online friends.)
2. To present a profile worthy for a company to see for possible employment.
3. Just another place to play & have fun with all the different applications & quizzes.
4. All of the above.
5. None of the above, I'm not a FB user, I just here for your chocolate covered chocolate give-a-ways.
6. I want to choose more than one, but not all. (If so, choose main reason.) If you want comment below the rest.)
7. I just want chocolate, no matter what my answer, can I choose that? (SURE! Just tell me your thoughts about this below!) :)

This is open to EVERYONE so that I can get as many votes as possible to help me decide. It would be wonderful if you want to link this in your own blog to pass the word along to your friends. (not a mass PM, please) The more votes the better perception!

Thanks for your time, I now return you to your regular scheduled programming! :-p

My new theme

Which side do you like the side rail on? (The place where the avatar / headshot is.)

Right... having it on the left goofs me up when I go to other friends pages.

 2

Left! It's a great change.

 1

It's your blog, do what you want. I'll still stop by!

 3

Just looking for some opinions... So, I'm going to post a poll...

See how my rail is on the left... well, I was really enjoying having it there until I added the 2nd layer in my background... Now I am thinking of putting it back on the right.

What do you think? Right or Left?

What I don't like is because it kind of looks out of place. I could adjust the background... however then the boxes get all smooshed.

Oh, yes, the theme does look like one of my friends... because it's the about the same. NO... I did NOT steal it... I received permission from the creator to use the images & put it into my own version. I'll post her name below a little later.

On a different note... I'll post the winners to the quiz tomorrow!! Night!! :o)

Just what I needed

A little while ago I was sitting here shaking and upset about something. (Can't go into it.) I didn't know who I could talk to or what to even do about the situation. Mainly because it's something I don't like to talk about in the first place. (Again, not going to go into it.)

Anyway, I received an email from my very good friend, Passion Wolf.
(whom I've known from my childhood days and was reconnected with her a little over a year ago).

Normally (& she knows this) when I get some type of email from anyone that contains a slide show I'll just click through it so fast because I've usually seen it before... or it's not of interest to me. Also, I usually mute the music, mainly because I skim through the slides so fast, it's not worth it.

Not this time. Today, I received a Power Point Slide show titled "The Center of the Bible." I heard about it before, but couldn't remember which verse it was. So, I clicked & opened the presentation.
(btw... nice thing about FIREFOX, it scans for viruses before it opens. Though I don't trust it all the time... so, be warned... Be sure you scan everything before you open it, even if it comes from a trusted source!)

I was still prepared to click right on through to find the reminder of which verse is at the CENTER OF THE BIBLE. But then the music started & it is one of my favorite songs from Enya. Then I read each line carefully that was perfectly worded... to me, at least!

This had calmed my shaking & allowed me to take a deep breath and remember that it is God whom I should be speaking with. I need to put my problem in His hands.

As I continued through the slides... I was amazed at how wonderful the person who put it together took the time to find the most awesome photos to coincide with it all.

For those who know me... know I usually don't talk much religion (or politics). It's not that I am not a believer. For I am!!! I am a Born Again Christian! I have not been one to hide it. The reason I don't talk about it, is because I'm not that knowledgeable and I don't want to get into it with someone about something I can't represent like it should be.

HOWEVER... There comes a time when one has to put aside those fears & just jump right into the water. Well, that is what I am doing here... I am posting this presentation for you all to peruse, if you choose.

How can I not share the beauty of God's creation???

It is up to you if you want to view this or not.

I will tell you, because this was meant as an email, it says at the end to send it to 10 people... & so on... Well, if you want to share this on your blog (or via email)... Feel free to do so. You'll just need to save the attachment. OR you can link to my blog. Whichever is easiest for you!

Also, if you do not have Power Point on your computer, you will need a "viewer". You can find it at this LINK.

Ok, here goes... I've not used the "attachment" before (it's at the bottom of this blog)... I hope you'll enjoy!

Many **HUGS** to all!!!
P.S. Yes, I scanned this with AVG 8.5!!!

UFC - #146 - Serenity

Here's what I (Lady Harley) have challenged the other authors, in the group, to write about...

In whatever format you wish... your challenge today, if you choose to accept, is to write a "1st person" piece about "your perfect sanctuary for writing... if money were no issue".

Please detail the sights, sound & smells that would soothe you into a rhythm of continuous writing.
It would help, but not necessary, if you were to add... why you would go & how would you get to the hideout.

If you wish... you may include a line or two (or more) of the story (or, novel, poem, song, etc.) you are working on while at your perfect spot. (Yes it can be something you're currently working on... if you wish. Who knows, maybe it will be the start of a new project for you???)

(IF you do, be sure to italicize those parts so that we can tell it's not part of the main story.)

SERENITY

"Not again?" I mumbled, as I heard car screech up the alley in between our house and the neighbors. Then came the sound of the horn. HONK HONK HONK!

One of these days, I swear, I'm going to get up & yell out the door: "Hey, can't you all just go to the door & knock? Don't you know I'm trying to write a best selling novel in here?"

But of course, I won't. That is not in my nature. Instead I turn to my husband and tell him, "If this keeps up I'm going to MY hideout!"

He laughs knowing there is no such place.

"Just you wait, you'll see. Soon as I publish my first book, I'll have enough money to buy a little cabin in the woods for me to disappear to."

"And just how would you get there?" He inquires.

I knew he was just trying to get my mind away from the inconsiderate noises coming from next door. "Oh, didn't I tell you? We have a tele-port pad, so I can just transport myself in an instant!" I replied.

Later that night as I'm sitting on the couch typing away on my laptop, I heard the bouncing of a basketball. One of the kids in the neighborhood was on his way home, from the school courts down the road, and insists on dribbling the whole way.

"That's IT! I can't take it anymore!" I exclaim as I slam the lid on my computer. "How am I supposed to write with these kind of distractions?"

I lower my head into my hands and with my eyes closed I whispered to the angels in heaven, "Am I asking too much to have some peace and quiet so I can finish this novel?"

With my eyes still closed I leaned back and began to shiver. Not wanting to open my eyes, I asked my husband to go close the windows. Waiting for some tongue and cheek reply I thought how nice it would be to in front of a fireplace with the snow falling outside and no one around for miles. "Serenity at it's finest." I said.

When he didn't reply, through the slit of one eye, I checked to see if my better half was asleep in his lounge chair. Not only was he not in his chair, but also his chair wasn't there. With both eyes now wide open I see that I'm not even in my own house. Starting to panic, I stood up slowly in case someone was listening for me to stir, so they could pounce on me.

At that moment a cool breeze shuffled the curtain hanging near a slightly opened door on my left. In front of me was a crackling fire in a rustic fireplace. I walked slowly to my right where the smell of fresh brewed coffee and chocolate cake wafted.

Half expecting someone to jump me I peeked into the empty kitchen and wondered how I even got to this serene place. A note with my name, on the counter, caught my attention. Carefully, I picked it up, hoping it was not some kind of trap.

"Welcome to Serenity, the place for you to escape to when you need a little alone time to concentrate on your novel. I hope it was everything you imagined it would be."

With my jaw dropped I flipped the paper over to look for a signature, but it was blank. I did not recognize the writing and I just stood there with many questions buzzing through my head. Just then a timer went off on the stove. As a matter of reflex I opened the drawer next to me to pull out an oven mitt and pulled the cake out of the oven.

When I pulled the mitt off my hand another note fell to the floor. This time I wasted no time to pluck it from the floor and read, "Enjoy the cake! Frosting is in the fridge."

"Hmm, someone knows me fairly well." I said aloud, finding the chocolate frosting. "Now I just need... " I stopped and turned around to find a coffee mug with cream and sugar next to it.

"Ohhh... this is just too good." I fixed myself a cup of coffee and walked back out to the room I started.

Greeted by the cool air, I went to the door to close it. I looked out the big picture window and saw snow lightly falling around the cabin. "Yes, this is perfect!"

Turning back around I saw my laptop sitting open waiting for me to continue writing. Trying to figure out how I missed seeing it moments ago, I sat down to find another note staring at me on my computer screen.

"No worries. Just write!"

I clicked opened the file which my book was saved, and began to type:

Something told Lily that she needed to listen to Trip. So, she raced to the drawer where she kept the flashlight, quickly checking it and ran down the stairs. She started to pace with worry that Sammie would not come out from under the bed for Trip. Lily started to ascend the stairs in time to grab Sammie from Trip as he turned to pull the door shut.

Winds howled around the buildings in the town. Thunder cracked so loud that made Sammie yelp, and Lily give out a shout. Trip pulled them both close to him and reassured Lily they would be ok.
The lights flickered several times, however the when the winds finally calmed down the lights came back to their full brightness. Lily looked up to Trip with relief the storm seemed to be over.

“I have never experienced such a thing. What was that?”

“A tornado.” He responded quietly. “I could not sleep and so I turned the radio on when they broke in with the warning. My legs could not move fast enough to get to you.

I was lulled into a rhythm with some soothing sounds of my favorite instrumental melodies. It seemed like hours before I decided to take a break. Making my way into the kitchen for another cup of coffee, I ended up frosting the now cooled cake. I easily found the silverware and plates I needed to sample the delectable masterpiece.

After a well-deserved respite and my chocolate craving satisfied, I decided to take a gander around this lovely cabin to find more clues as to who pulled off such a feat. When I could not find any other evidence, I went back to my work.

A few more hours passed when I finally leaned back again, closed my eyes and sighed. "I can't believe I finished it."

"Seriously?" came the voice of my husband.

Once again my eyes flew open wide and I looked at him with a panic look.

"Seriously, you finished your book?" He asked again.

Still shaking, I muttered, "Huh?"

"You said you couldn't believe you finished it. Were you talking about your novel?"

"I did?" I replied.

Again, my mind is a whirlwind of thoughts. He heard me say that? What in the world is happening to me?

Still confused, I looked down at my screen and saw the last line written. It was complete.

"I guess I did."

"That's wonderful, now how about cutting me a slice of that cake?"

Knowing full well that I had not baked anything in this heat wave. "What cake?"

"The one that I can smell coming from that room over there." He gestured toward our kitchen.

Walking slowly to my kitchen and low & behold there is a frosted chocolate cake, but was missing one slice.

I nearly jumped out of my skin when the male voice behind me said, "You just couldn't wait, could you?"

Beside the cake was another note with the now familiar handwriting... "Anytime you're stuck, just imagine 'Serenity'... and you'll be there."

Looking up at my grinning hubby, I smiled and said, "I guess dreams to come true after all!!"

How WELL do you know me? (quiz ANSWERS!!)

Ok... I am fighting insomnia again... & Now since it's almost 7a (now almost 9a!!) & I'm still awake... I've decided to try to wait for a reply on something. Hopefully it will come across before I close my eyes.

Soooo... while I'm waiting, I thought I'd give the answers to my quiz. But I'll be posting the results later on. When I have time to go over them all. (Don't got & change your answers now... I'll know if you edited them!!)

Ok, here goes.... let's see how well you know Lady Harley...
If you didn't know me before... you will now!... At least a little bit about me... as you learn what some of the abbreviations / names & etc I use are!!!
Enjoy! :)

1. Who / what is $hiba? (Bonus, if you can say exactly what each letter stands for.)
$hiba IS my laptop. I got her a year ago in February after I cashed in my 401k from the company that would not retrain me after I lost 10 years of my memory (including that job). We paid off my truck loan & bought $hiba.
Since she is a Toshiba laptop you would think that is the reason behind the name... sort of... but a little more...

Her full name is $heer Heavenly Inspiration By Ability! (Yes, the dollar sign $ is in hopes one day she'll help me make money.... At the time I wasn't sure how... Now I know it will be working on my novels!!) The acronym was brought together by a couple good friends. (One that not around anymore & the other is Kitty!)

Also, just a fun fact that probably on Kitty would know... but I've also use the name Shiba for one of my avatars (called an ALT) on SL. (What is SL... well, check out answer #6!!!)

2. Who / what is SenCi? (Bonus if you remember what it's short for.)
SenCi was the VERY old laptop I had gotten from my B.I.L. to help me while I was trying to find something to do after loosing my memory... (mainly because I was using JunkYard so much, I was keeping my hubby away from his computer. So, he got his brother to give me SenCi.) Which by the way stand for Senior Citizen. (Tell ya it was old... had Win98 on it!!!)

3. Who / what was Philly?
This was the name I had given my hubby's computer before I knew he actually had it named JunkYard. (I only got that from looking at the monitor name & it was Phillips.) This name did not last long since JunkYard was the official name of that computer.

4. Who / what is JunkYard?
As you can tell by answer #3... This is my hubby's computer. We shared it until I got SenCi... & even then I still used it a bit from time to time. Because it had XP on it.
I think he named it JunkYard from either some Pink Floyd song... or because it's made up of Pieces Parts. (That's my theory, anyway!)
He's since upgraded it to Vista (which he dreaded... but I think is now starting to see the light... that the new version is actually not all that hateful!... But he still is calling it JunkYard, because it's still the same case... just a few more pieces parts!!)

5. What is TLW?
TLW stand for The Last Word... it's a WORD GAME group I started here on Multiply. It will be a ONE year old in a couple months! If you've not given it a try yet & can't find it in my groups... remind me to send you the link! (Or I may link later. too tired to do so right now.) I'll warn you... it's ADDICTIVE!! Ask any of the members! :)

6. What does SL stand for?
SL is the abbreviation we use for the virtual simulation "game" / world called Second Life. As long as you pay attention to what you're doing... you can avoid some of the really nasty things that happen there. (Just like you can anywhere on the net.)

I only say this, because I lost a friend a while back because she found out what some members are doing on it. (Which I didn't know... but glad I do now, so I know how to avoid it.)

SL is great for when I need an escape from RL (Real Life!) I actually have a very nice SL Family there... & a few of them are here on Multiply too...
Let's see, there is
Smudges, she is now my Daughter... who tells me I am a Grandma (but haven't met this granddaughter of mine yet! & Don't know if she's here on Multiply)
KittyChile is my Sister... who is married (on SL) to...
Spooked (making him my brother-in-law... but I call him Bro!)...
Then Katha... she is my Aunt... & her RL hubby (not sure if his name is known here or not.) but he's my Uncle.
We can't forget DaddyK aka Kartor!
And there's few others... but they're either "alt's" (which is alternate) or I just haven't met them yet.

We have a blast there... we go virtual shopping... they're is even dances we attend. Lots of different ways to RP (Role Play)... but most of all I enjoy hanging out with some of the family at our family bonfire... & just chat the night away.

We are just as goofy on SL as we are here!

(ok, moving on...)

7. What is B.I.L. short for?
Well, I'm not the only one who's used this term, I don't think. It stands for Brother-in-Law. I also sometimes abbreviate it like BiL.

8. What is M.I.L. short for? (Hint, related to #7.) ;)
So, figure this one out then? Yep, that would be Mother In Law! :o) She's a great one... can't complain a bit!! Love her to pieces!! (Also sometimes abbreviated MiL.)

9. Who is JG? (I may have only used J before. & this I just need the person's title, not name, because I've not shared the name.)
This was tough, because I may have only talked about this one in my private diary blog... & I think I was only using J... & it wasn't enough for me, so I changed it to JG.
Oh, yeah... who is it? It's my Step-Mom... which I guess that's not too hard to write... but it was easier for me to say JG for some reason. She's nice too! :)

10. What is TOTs?
This is my adaptation for Thoughts On Thursday... for when I forget to do TTT (Ten Thoughts on Tuesday) ... I use ToTs so that I can use as little or as many thoughts as I want. Why not? It's my blog!

11. Who is Cola? (There are 2 right answers for this... I'll accept either or both. Though I don't think anyone knows both... only one or the other, I think!) :o)
This is my pet Koala on WebKinz. (I was addicted for a time to that... I still go & play every once in awhile... but not as often.)
Also, I have a "shoulder pet" in SL that is a Koala also & her name is Cola as well.
Maybe I should change my name to ColaHarley instead of LadyHarley!! LOL!!! :o)

(I can't... have too MANY things registered with LH already!!!)

12. Who is Sunny? (This should be easy!)
Yes, this is one of my doggies. I'll post pictures later!! :o)
(Jo, I loved your answer!! That was hilarious!!)

13. Who is Coleman? (Another easy one!)
This is my other doggie... he's my baby!! I'll link up there blog here later too... there's a story on it on how he got his name! (Yeah from the Coleman coolers.)

14. What does WX stand for?
This is a typical broadcasting abbreviation for WEATHER. It's not widely known... but probably will be soon because Stephanie Abrams from TWC uses it a lot on Twitter.
(I knew it because I went to broadcasting school... & was a "on air" radio personality for a short time. Nothing big. Thought for sure that was my calling... but it didn't pan out. Now I know WRITING is my true gift & calling!!)

15. How about TWC? (it's "related" to #14.)
If you didn't get this yet... this stands for The Weather Channel. If you live here in the states... they have been on the air for more than 25 years. They are the leading authority on severe weather coverage. I enjoy them so much because they do the best they can to liven things up while they inform you of the forecast.

Also, with people like Stephanie Abrams & Mike Bettes, (just a couple of many I could name) you learn a lot about weather!

Mike Bettes in involved right now in the Vortex2 project (another link for me to add later)... It is the greatest, biggest involved TORNADO HUNT project ever! Over 100 meteorologists, 10 to 12 Doppler's on wheels & OH SO MUCH more!!

Stephanie is a live one & the two of them together make a wonderful team! (I sure hope when this project is over that they don't break them up!!!)
(Again, moving on...)

16. Hubby stands for what? (oh, that's just too easy! LOL)
Uh... did anyone miss this? Yes, this is my HUSBAND!!! :o)

17. Who is DM? (Again, don't need the name... just the person's title. & this is a tough one... for I think I have only mentioned them once... or twice... & maybe only in my private diary blogs that some of you have access to.)
This was just another general "title" (name initials, really)... it's for my hubby's best friend / buddy. I really didn't want to put hubby's BF... because I really don't like that term anyway. Can't use BB (for best buds) because that stand for something else in someone else's blog... & I never know when I'll have a friend with the initials BB.) :o)

18. What group is UFC? (Too easy for the members!)
If you haven't been to one of my stories I've written recently... This stand for:
The United Friends Challenge group.
It's where other members take turns posting a writing challenge & when we feel inspired we answer it, blog it on our personal blog & it's then linked to the challenge. If we set the challenge, then we must rise up & answer our own!
We have gained many new authors in the past several months... & there have been a great number of challenges presented. However, I haven't done one until today, because I just wasn't in the "right mind set".
I'm hoping that these challenges will help me to continue writing my novels!!
I tell you this, it's a great mind exercise! If you're a creative writer... check the group out. (Again, link coming later!) :o)

19. If I say it's 9 chimes... what does that mean? I'm looking for something specific.
Yes, it would be 9:00... & could be 9a or 9p... it's when I hear my new grandfather clock chiming... I didn't want to put x# chimes in there, because I wasn't sure if it would make sense. I only mentioned it maybe once since I have gotten my clock. (Still in shock over that 40th birthday gift from my mom & my son!)
Also, because if you read any of my Tweets from my Twitter badge on my home page... I may refer to that once in a while there as well. (So, see this is also a lesson for future use too!!) :o)

Ok, here goes... last one...
20. What is CM? (Uh... were you paying attention??)
Now if anyone was really paying close attention... you would have known this from the blog prior to the one I posted the quiz one. And I've talked about it a lot recently...

CM stands for Chiari Malformation.
It is a condition that produces some nasty headaches, among other problems. (Chronic Depression being another.) Please bear with me... I will find the links later... or you can peruse my blog list to find other times I've talked about this.

Each time I have a major headache, I really don't feel like typing out the whole name... so, I abbreviate it to just CM!! It IS A SERIOUS problem!! It is said to be rare... but the more that doctors recognize it & become more aware of it... I bet it will no longer be "rare".

I have a theory that most migraine sufferers actually have CM... & I bet if they did a little research & had the test done... they would find that they do! And IF anyone tries to tell you that CM is no big deal... Look at them & say... THAT IS A LIE... to just cover your own behind so you don't have to deal with it, because it deals with the brain!!!

Yes, if it's severe enough, you could have to have brain surgery... but the more research I've done... I've found that they don't actually mess with your brain... they move the base of your skull a bit to relieve the pressure. (Called "decompression surgery") It's risky, because it is close to your brain and your nerves! So, that's why many doctors just sweep it under the rug!! Mainly because they don't know enough! That's why IF you have it... or SUSPECT you have it... you need to see a SPECIALIST!! & The best are in NYC!!

If my hubby hadn't lost his insurance... I'd probably be working my way to get an appointment with them. Now I have to wait to see what happens with his job situation... or my Social Security Disability. (Which by the way... CM is a DEBILITATING disease!! For you never know when you'll be struck with pain... & never know how severe it will be.)

Ok... I have to get down off my soap box... & save this for another blog, some day soon! Because I want to provide you all with many links on this... & I am still thinking of starting another group... a Chiari Awareness group here on Multiply... for we Chiarians (as we're called) need the support of others... We need help with suggestions from others who suffer, to know how to alleviate symptoms... & so on... so on... (someone push me off this soap box, please!!)

Anyway... That's mainly the abbreviations & etc that I use or will be using a lot... Here are a few more that I want to remind you of...

Mike (my 19yr son... 20 in September... GOLLY!!!)
Gina (my sister & my editor (if we ever get things going!))
Aloys (a BiL, Gina's Hubby)
Renee (My other sister... I'm the youngest, she's the oldest of us 3 girls)
Steve (another BiL, Renee's Hubby)
Sarah (my beautiful niece, Renee & Steve's oldest.)
Stevie (my nephew, who has Cerebral Palsy & Renee & Steve's oldest son.)
MattMan (my nick name for my nephew, Renee & Steve's youngest son.)
and then there is Grammy, sometime referred to just as Grandma... This is who Gina & Aloys live with because they take care of her because she is 90 years old with Alzheimer's'.

Now... one last abbreviation... this is from my childhood & something that my dad will enjoy... CCMIC.... Can anyone take a guess at what it is? I'll give you a hint... it's a food item!! & If you really know me... you may be able to figure it out!!! I'll give you a couple days to think on it!!

Wow... that took a lot longer that I thought it would to get them answers out... but, I was on a roll & thought you deserved to know the story behind it all!

So... I hope you enjoyed your "mini" rides that turn into one nice long trip on...
this thing we call....
THE RAMBLING TRAIN!!!

UFC - #145 - Carnation Friends

While waiting for my challenge to be posted... & dealing with a bit of insomnia (it is now 6a!) I decided I'd do the challenge that is still open.

This one is by SkyeRider & here's her challenge...

You have been invited to a party that you are obliged to attend. No excuses. You have to buy a gift for the host/hostess of the party. The problem is that you dislike the person hosting the party. Write a scene using one of the following scenarios:
- You have just been informed that you have to attend the party and bring a gift.
- You have already bought the gift and are en route to the party.
- You are in a shop, choosing a gift for the party.
- The party is in progress and the host/hostess is about to open your gift.

Carnation Friends

I didn't know what to think when I saw the note stuck to my front door, demanding that I attend a birthday party for the neighborhood's town gossip queen. I really don't know her & I don't want to really get to know her.

She always comes to my door at the most inopportune time. Always trying to sell magazines or candy for one of her nieces or nephews functions. At least I didn't feel bad looking her in the face, instead of the children, & telling her we just don't have the money.

It became so annoying that we put a "No Solicitation" note on our door & kept the door closed at all times to be sure the note was seen. Instead of knocking, this time she taped the note to the door.

What I don't understand is why she stressing it upon us to be there. As if our life depended on it. Doesn't she have any real friends? Or does she have to force us to be her friends to celebrate her day. Oh, and she wants us to bring her a gift. Now, how rude is that to request gifts for herself?

I enjoy a birthday celebration when I know the person & can get them something I know they'll enjoy. I don't know this woman, and I don't know anyone else on this block that I just moved into one month ago. I only know what I hear as neighbors stand outside my window & gossip about, when she's not with them.

I figure since Bea was kind enough not to knock on my door at 6 a.m. to place the note, that I should be thankful & attend her party. (Just still don't understand why the gift.)

Sighing deeply, I see it's this afternoon. She's having a themed "Tea Party". Oh lovely, now I have to dress up. I wouldn't want to show up in jeans & a t-shirt while others will be dressed to impress!

I go get ready and luckily for me I am close to a little floral shop to pick up something nicely.

When I arrive at the shop, I see one my next door neighbor picking up some flowers as well. We exchanged smiles & nods as if we knew we both were going to the same party.

"Hi Rose", stopping her, and asked, "do you know what her favorite flower is?"

"Hi Bethany", she replied. "No, I honestly don't. I figured I would be safe with some regular pink carnations."

"Oh, those are MY favorite... and they are cheap too! Wonder what she would think if we both got her the same thing?"

"I think it would be twice as nice!!! How about you get some of the different colored ones... that would match these?"

"Wow Rose, you just made this task a lot easier on me! Thank you. & I'll see you there soon as I can get these wrapped up!"

She smiled and walked out the door & up the street to where the Tea Party was to be held.

Unfortunately I was detained at the shop while the girl look for just the right vase & some more baby's breath. I kept trying to tell her it didn't have to be perfect. Just something simple.

Then my card number wouldn't accept my code. The 1st 2 times. Finally the sale clerk took my card & ran it through her side & all when through. I knew it would, just don't know why it was being such a pain.

So, I get in my car, and carefully place the vase on the seat beside me. Thanking my lucky starts I ran into Rose who gave me a great idea.

I pull into Miss Bea Prissy's driveway, and had a chuckle at the thought of her name again. Then I felt for her, how rough her childhood must have been.

As I'm walking up the side walk, I had one last thought again about, why was I invited... and here I am probably the last one to arrive. I just hope my husband made some good excuse as to why we came separate.

I opened the door & there are all my neighbors yelling, "SURPRISE!!! Welcome to the Neighborhood!!!"

My jaw dropped to the floor, as I was in amazement that this party was for little ol' me. My husband comes up to me & kisses me on my cheek & said, "We got you good, didn't we Bethany?"

"You were in on this too?"

He nodded in reply and walked me around to introduce me to some of our new friends. Even Miss Bea Prissy was a lovely woman after all. Had to be to plan this all for someone who kept closing the door in her face.

Rose walked up to me with a big grin, "Now you know why I had your favorite flowers!"

I have her a big hug & thanked her for becoming my 1st true friend on the block! That afternoon I realized I had many more true Carnation Friends!!

It's a BIRTHDAY PARRRTTYYYY.... (still contacts only, though!)

just a quick note all... soon as I post this & clear my messages... I'm not going to be on the computer the rest of the night.

I'm about to cry because I'm having an extremely bad CM day!! Even the sound of my own typing is too much for my ears today.

If it wasn't for the fact that I had to make a change on Hubby's club site, I would not have even turned on $hiba... but since I did... I feel the need to clear out my messages & emails.

SO... if you get an abrupt reply from me... I'm sorry. I just am in a hurry to lay back down.

(I'll delete this part later)

*HUGS* to all. (I am not leaving this open for comments... as I've said before I know you all wish me the best & I know you all want me to hurry back, & yet take my time to get better.)

Actually... you know what... I think I will leave the comments open... but please... no "get well" or any messages like that... just going to leave it open so you all can have fun... & maybe when I return tomorrow I can join in on the fun.

I leave you all with some chocolate covered chocolate & milk.... & coffee... & decaf... & cola... & whatever else you can find. (Feel free to add what you want to the mix!)

*puts on some SOFT playing soothing background music*
So, I guess you can consider this a BLOG party... without all the fancy pictures & music!

Have fun ya all! (Again, please, no need to mention any "get well" or "hurry back" or "take your time"... I'm not posting this for any "sympathy" comments.)

**********************
I'm turning this into a full out BLOG BIRTHDAY party for our favorite monkey girl... EMMA!!!

I was thinking tomorrow was her birthday... but it's TODAY... Wednesday, May 20th!! (So, let's carry on with the party... & this can continue right through next week... because next Wednesday is SMUDGES birthday!!

So, let's continue to have fun... I'll post some cake in a few... I'll tell the birthday girls to stop by, too! :)

*HUGS*

Last call...

Time has escaped me today... so, I'm going to give out one LAST CALL... for anyone who wants to give my quiz a try. I'm going to try like crazy to post the answers tomorrow!!!

Also tomorrow I'll be posting my latest challenge in the UFC group. (Tomorrow is my turn & I already have written my story to go with the challenge! Just have to wait to post until the challenge is officially presented.)

Kitty's famous answer... *blank stare*

 1

Seems that I started something on Multiply... well, actually, I can't take full credit... I'm sure that Kitty or Dory or someone else started the quizzes!! (Hmm... lot's of z's... so I guess I'll be using the Garamond font. LOL)

Basically, I just wanted to remind you all that I have a quiz out there to be answered... & I wonder if some of you just passed right over it in you in box because of the title I gave it... because I'm sure some of you are not interested at all in Nascar Day. So, I thought I'd blog a reminder... & to let you know that I will be probably posting the answer (& virtual prizes) some time tomorrow... evening, probably. (Yeah... the title you give your blog DOES help!!)

In the meantime... one of my new passengers, Dezi... (Kitty's Mum, actually) had a funny story on her blog about her ex sister-in-law... & it reminded me of Bill Engvall's line of "Here's Your Sign"... So, for those who've already taken the quiz, or not interested in taking it... I leave you with some funny stuff by Bill Engvall...
(P.S. If you are new... feel free to still take that quiz... because there are a couple questions on there that are actually easy.)

Happy Nascar Day

Did you know that today is officially Nascar Day? Yep... it's to help raise funds for the Nascar charities... Including those like the Victory Junction Gang Camp. (Image found on Google Images.)

Anyway, as mentioned in my previous blog I said this blog is to see how well you know me... or should I say... how close you've paid attention. Also, to help knew readers understand some of my "shortcuts" or names. :o)

Yes, I'll give away a few virtual prizes in a couple days. So... let's get started.

1. Who / what is $hiba? (Bonus, if you can say exactly what each letter stands for.)

2. Who / what is SenCi? (Bonus if you remember what it's short for.)

3. Who / what was Philly?

4. Who / what is JunkYard?

5. What is TLW?

6. What does SL stand for?

7. What is B.I.L. short for?

8. What is M.I.L short for? (Hint, related to #7.) ;)

9. Who is JG? (I may have only used J before. & this I just need the person's title, not name, because I've not shared the name.)

10. What is TOTs?

11. Who is Cola? (There are 2 right answers for this... I'll accept either or both. Though I don't think anyone knows both... only one or the other, I think!) :o)

12. Who is Sunny? (This should be easy!)

13. Who is Coleman? (Another easy one!)

14. What does WX stand for?

15. How about TWC? (it's "related" to #14.)

16. Hubby stands for what? (oh, that's just too easy! LOL)

17. Who is DM? (Again, don't need the name... just the person's title. & this is a tough one... for I think I have only mentioned them once... or twice... & maybe only in my private diary blogs that some of you have access to.)

18. What group is UFC? (Too easy for the members!)

19. If I say it's 9 chimes... what does that mean? I'm looking for something specific.

20. What is CM? (Uh... were you paying attention??)

So... that's 20 of them... how did you do? Don't worry if you don't get 100% because... I really don't know if any one of you would know the answers to all.

This is not only to quiz you... but it's also to help new readers get to know someone of my abbreviations & names.

Also here are a few other abbreviations that I use & some are widely used by others around the net.

ATM = At the moment. (Yeah, could be the machine you get money out of too.)
BTW = By the way (I keep forgetting to use this.)
IMHO = In My Humble Opinion
ROTFL = Rolling On The Floor Laughing. (Some will add to it... but I like this.)
THIF = Thank Heaven It's Friday (this is my version!) ;o)
???'s = question(s)
sp? = unsure of spelling.

That's all I could think of at the moment... feel free to add some of your favorites... but remember, keep it clean, please. Thanks :)

GOOD LUCK with the quiz! :)

I'll leave ya with an AWWWW...

We're going for a ride! *Updated*

WOO HOO!!! It's been over a year since I've been able to get out on my Harley... today I told Hubby when he came home from helping his mom babysit his youngest nephew... That I'm feeling good... & I am in the mood for a ride!!

I asked him if the A&W Root Beer place is still open near by... he said he believes so. So... at 6:00 p.m. we're going to take off. I'm PUMPED!! But I'm also scared!! Because it has been over a year since I've been on the bike.

Why so long? (this is mainly for the new passengers on this train.) ... Well on March 4, 2008 I fell down 3 ICY Concrete steps & wreck my back... It's taken this long to get to where I'm not in pain all the time.

Actually I have not had any major back pain in over a month!! WOOT WOOT!!! & I can actually move & turn around without pain! Woo Hoo!! :o)

I've also battled with if I should even get on it with my Chiari Malformation (CM)... because the weight of a helmet makes things worse. Well... I'm actually having a rather good day AND it's a BEAUTIFUL day out... So, I'm going to try it!!

So... please, keep me in your prayers... not just for safety... but also that the CM won't be a problem!

P.S. Yes, that's my bike up above... it's a 2002 H-D 883 Hugger (Sportster).

I'm off to go get ready now... I hope... (Hubby was just out starting the bike & taking it for a test ride... I hope it's all ok!! He did give it a little seat time last year... so the bike wouldn't be completely idle.)

Toodles!!

P.S. Next blog will to see how well you know me... so, you best remember a couple things from this blog, if you want to do well!! (Hee hee!!) :o)

Lady Harley is BAAAACK!!!
I had been bothered with the fact that I hadn't been on my Harley in such a long time that I thought about coming up with a new user name & possibly transferring my blogs to the new name...

WELL.... after tonight's ride... I can say... NEVER MIND that!

It was an AWESOME ride! The weather is just perfect for a brief ride like that. Hubby said it was about 55 miles round trip. (We took a different route (the highway) home that on the way up to the stand. (When I say stand... I mean it's like an old fashioned drive thru. Which actually means drive up, park & eat in your car. Or in our case... at the picnic tables they have set out.)

The food was EXCELLENT (insert sound of Wayne's World guitar effect!) I have already thanked my hubby several times. Soon as we got off the bikes the car hop was there to take our order... before I even had my helmet off... & Hubby was already giving his order.

She looked at me & I wasn't ready, so, I ordered the same thing has hubby... a coney, fries, & root-beer... However, we're sitting at the table a few minutes & Hubby says, "I'm surprised you didn't get the shredded chicken sandwich." I'm like, "Oh, I didn't know they had them." I went & asked to change... & glad I did!

The french fries are them "fair fries" type & we topped with vinegar... OH SO GOOD!! & My root beer was in a nice mug... It was a perfect meal!

While we were sitting there eating... Hubby told me of how his dad would take him & his brother there about once every couple weekends. That's how he knew what to order! :-p

And it was a wonderful ride home! The sun was shining through the clouds to wear you could see the rays. I could smell lilacs every so often. (which reminds me, when we got into Ashland, & went past the Archway factory... we could smell the cookies being made. YUMMO!! It warms the heart to smell that, because it reminds me that someone came along & saved the factory from being shut down... escapes me what company.)

Things went well & I did not have a problem with my head or my back. I will say this... I wouldn't want to go much farther than that... at least not for awhile... & not until I can get a better suited helmet. (That will be a LONG time away, if at all,... may have to have it custom made.)

Speaking of my helmet... I've thought of a design I want to put on it. (It's plain black). Thinking of taking my tattoo...

& taking the lines at the top & bottom & extending them into pin stripe sort of. I have it in my mind... but just not sure how to get it to paper, so to speak. Once I do... I'll be sure to share it with you.

Yes, very nice ride! (Oh, & if you're wondering... I do admit, I'm a fair weather rider... meaning, I won't go when it's really hot!!!)

Now I need to move onto the next blog to see how well you all know me! *wink wink*

**PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU SEND ME AN INVITE**

http://ladyharley.multiply.com/reviews/item/256
This is something I'd like all my contacts (new, old, & any future ones) to read. Mainly linking this up so others can find it easily when I say... did you read it??

(Some of you have already read this. Sorry for the duplication in your in box.)
*HUGS*

Reviewing myself

Rating:★★★
Category:Other

Fellow Multiply users... my dear friends, new & long time friends... future readers... I think it's high time I give you a review on your friend: Yours Truly (aka... ME!)

This may be a "dry" read to some of you... I'm tried to think of a way to make it more interesting... but I'm not sure what I can do.

I say this because for the past year or so I have gained many contacts "passengers" here on The Rambling Train... however, I feel bad that I don't visit 90% of your blogs. That number may even be a bit conservative...

At the moment I have 75 contacts. A few of them are kind of duplicates. (Long story)... Anyway... I'm writing this to let you know that if you don't like the fact that I don't visit your blogs all the time, or even comment on your guest book every so often... I won't be offended if you were to pull the Emergency Brake & jump off this Rambling Train.

However, before you reach for that cord... let me tell you this... If you do, I will no longer be able to see anything you post in my in box.

Here's how I am of late... if you were to post something I find interesting by looking at the title or even the 1st couple lines shown in preview... I'll go over & read it. Disclaimer: I do NOT comment on every single blog I read. I try to... but there are times I just don't have a reply. Also if you get just a simple *HUGS* as a reply from me... that's just my way of acknowledging that I did read it.

I say that because if you pay attention to the bottom of your blogs to see who's read it... & then see that I've visited but didn't leave a comment... then some may think... why didn't she leave a reply? AT LEAST this is what I hear from some friends.

I'm here to tell you that there are times that I read it & thought it would be better if

1. I keep my mouth shut, because either I don't know hardly anything about the subject... (or it's something like Religion or Political issues that I don't like to comment on.)
2. I know too much that it could get me in trouble because I can be stubborn about it.
3. I have not a clue what you're talking about.
4. I just stopped by to see what's up & I am too tired or in too much pain (ie: CM headache.)
5. And sometimes... well, there is so much information there that I get lost in trying to follow when I hadn't been keeping up on your past blogs.

This is where I apology begins... I'm sorry to those who I'm really close to... (A few of you know who you are!)... there's been only one friend's blog that I go to on a regular basis... & I know her fairly well.

There's another two of you that I know really well, but I haven't been by your blog on a daily basis... & that I am totally sorry for! I can't give you an excuse... I've just not been that good of a friend. So, I hope you'll forgive me, please!!!

For those really 2 close friends of mine (they know who they are!) I promise I will try to go back through & read some of the old blogs I've missed.

Then there is another friend of mine... I talk with her so much in a PM... I don't need to read her blogs... If she had any. (She knows who she is.) ... She doesn't blog that much ... but when she does I try to get to read it. Only thing is... when it happens I sometimes miss it because...

AND HERE IT IS... Another reason I miss so many of ALL your blogs....

For when I'm having a bad CM day... or am extremely busy with TLW or Hubby's site, my site, or my writings (including my novel)... I just skim the 1st page of "New posts from Contacts"... & sometimes I don't see anything of interest & move on.

Or I had been signed on for so long the new posts have been buried by some many other new posts ... & the system thinks I've actually seen them... Well, it's hard to explain. Let me just say this... I use the Multiply tool bar... & sometimes it's my own worst enemy. (side note: Will that show ever come back?? That was a GREAT show with Christian Slater.)

So, anyway... I give myself a 3 of 5 star for being a friend / contact / RT Conductor. I believe that we all are in the same boat though.

What was the purpose of this... well, I just have been wanting to do this for quite some time, because I've felt terrible that it seems I've ignored some of you... when actually... I haven't... I've kept up with you in a PM or a group we're in together... or what have you.

Some of you, I really don't know you hardly at all... You're my contact because we conversed a few times & either I invited you or you invited me to connect so we could possibly get to know each other a little better. AND THIS IS WHERE I HAVE FAILED!!!

I had the best intentions of going to read past blogs of new friends... but I never did. I truly apologize for that... AND THIS is where I ask you for a favor...

If there is ever a blog you want me to read & you see I haven't been there in a couple days of you posting it... please send me a PM to say "Hey, there's a blog I wrote, that I think you may want to read." OR... "I would like your opinion on something I wrote, will you, please stop by."

Of course you can word it your own way. That's just how I would say it. :o)

Now... for all my UFC friends... I feel awful... I haven't been reading many of your stories... hardly any of them. I feel terrible because I should be. Please... forgive me... & know that I will be trying to get around to read some of your writings!!

Ok, here's my plan of action... Anytime I gain a new "passenger", I will send them to this review... asking them to keep in mind that I may post a lot... but I may not read there's that much.

I don't expect for anyone to leave a comment on my blogs just to let me know they've been to read it. I only expect those to reply when they actually have something to say about it.

I can tell when you've been by... I don't need you to try to think of something to say to let me know you've been here. If you want to... that's WONDERFUL... & If you don't want to comment on what I wrote... but want to be assured I know you read it... just leave me a simple *Hugs* or *smiles* or *grins* or whatever you like.

Since I'm making this post for new passengers to read as well... let me clue you in on one more thing...

I am a "PG" type of gal... I don't like naked (or near naked) people left on my guestbook. So, if you get a message asking to have it removed... please don't take it personally... it's just me... I don't like that kind of thing.

Also, please don't cuss or leave any type of profanity in my blogs. (Had a problem a long time ago... but that person is no longer a contact for other reasons left to be unsaid.) (Mainly because I have family and church friends that read my blog as well... & I'd be embarrassed for them (& you) to read such foul language.

I ask you to be kind & play nice with my other friends :-P ... If you have a problem with one of my friends... or something they said... please bring it to them (and / or me) in a PM... but please don't fight on my blogs & reviews. (That's from same problem as a long time ago... & from what I've seen on another friends blog.)

NOW wait oh minute... this does not rule out the friendly banter we all love to have... & that's what I love about some of you... you know how to tease & have fun! I just ask that if someone says something on my blog that hurts or offends you... please come tell me in a PM... & maybe I can review it to see if it was intentional or just playing. If needed... I'll PM that person to see.

Ok, I have gone for a long time about what may seem like nothing to some... & will wonder why in the world is she saying this... we know this already... & some will see this as a really long ramble & only read part of it... If you've made it this far... CONGRATULATIONS & THANK YOU for reading it all!

I don't expect everyone to read this in its entirety... as a matter of fact... I believe only a couple of you will.

For those who just skim it because they're new to my blog... Please keep this in mind... If you're looking for someone to come to you blog all the time & leave comments... well, I'm not that person... You have to be some one really close to me for me to do that.

For those who have been with me for a long time & had thought I was like that... I apologize for misleading you.

For those I'm very close with & I'm not reading your blogs all the time... well, dearies... it maybe that it's something that doesn't interest me... or I just plain over looked it. I do try to keep as caught up with my very very close friends... You 4 know who your are!!

Then there are a couple of you whom I wish I paid more attention to & would get to read your blogs more often... I promise... I'll keep trying to stop by to read some past ones to try to get to know you!!

Alright... I feel as if I've gone full circle now & I feel as if I'm repeating myself... so it's time to stop & to ask you...

DO YOU STILL
WANT TO BE MY FRIEND???

For those who don't... because I rarely get to your blog, but you come to mine all the time... please send me a PM.

In fact... anyone who wants to drop me as a contact... I please ask, please send me a PM & let me know that you're leaving & why. I won't beg you to stay... I won't say... "I'll do better... I'll visit your blog more often." because that would not be honest.

For those who are reading this because I sent you to it, because I've sent you me an invite... or I sent you one... Please let me know if you still want to connect, now that you've read this.

Alright... I think that does it for this very long & bumpy ride. I would apologize for the rough ride... but hey... all who have been on The Rambling Train for some time know that it's not always a smooth short trip!! (Once again... that is why I named my blog The Rambling Train!!!

Ok... comments anyone? Please be nice!

1 more things... I may leave more in a comment below... especially if someone says something that sparks a thought... so, you may want to keep checking the comments later. (IMHO.)

Toodles & oodles of *HUGS*

p.s. Please don't correct me on any grammar mistakes... this is one of them long long blogs that I'm just going to check for spelling errors... & leave it be.) Thanks, LH!

contacts only update

Hi all... I am having a really bad Chiari day... I know, you wouldn't be able to tell by the prior blog... but I'm trying to just ignore the pain... however, it's getting bad enough I may just shut $hiba down & go back to sleep...

So, if I disappear without warning tonight, you'll know why.

I'm not leaving comments open on this... because I know you all wish the best for me. This is just mainly to give you a heads up.

*HUGS* to you all! :o)

Can you do it?

One of the groups I belong to (UFC) has been having fun in one of it's PM's... & so this led me to an idea... this is just for fun... & maybe to provide some entertainment, if not a little laughter...

Let me give you the premise... In your replies, give us an action statement (with the stars around to signify it's action) IE: *hands over chocolate covered whatever to all*

If you want to talk too, that's fine... just try to keep the action going.

Only rule is, please keep it CLEAN & NICE!

If you're not sure what to do... just wait, you'll get the idea once a few of us have conversed.

This is not a game... just something for fun.
Enjoy!
