Have hot fudge...

I Tweeted & Facebooked this... thought I better blog it too...

What's the deal? I have hot fudge, but NO ice cream to put it upon! I now even have a special ice cream dish (as pictured in prior blog)... but still, I have NO ice cream!! Really? In my house?

It's rainy & windy & chilly out... & it's late, so, I guess a hot fudge sundae will have to wait until tomorrow!

That picture I've included (from Glitter-graphics.com) is really increasing my craving even more!!!

Ok, the silliness has ended, I now return you back to your regularly scheduled... wait, that's a TV euphemism (huh? there's not one N in euphemism? fooled me!) not a train...

All aboard!! ... I mean... Hope you enjoyed this short ride aboard The Rambling Train!

Toodles!

Have you played Kitty Bingo yet?

If not... go check out Kitty's Bingo Game. It's open to her "network" so, I'm making this entry for my network only.

It's a fun game & you don't have to play every day. Though, I suspect you'll get hooked & want to play every day!!

She just posted Friday's edition, so you're not too late to get in for tomorrow's round!

Hope to see you there! Enjoy! :)

At least my trash will smell good - TOTs

1. On this Thursday I have many thoughts... odd & interesting alike. You be the judge.

2. Why is it when I put a teaspoon of sugar into my hot (almost boiling) cup of water, it sizzles up? Can't say that it bubbles, because... well, it's very tiny ones if at all. It's just like it is increasing the temp or something but soon as I add the decaf or another 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar, it stops sizzling.

3. Did you see my prior blog where I talked about the perfect cup of decaf? It's so tasty I've been drinking about 2 or 3 a day. Only thing is, I'm going to run out soon, so it means another trip to Wally World (Wal-Mart) soon.

4. Welcome to TOT's, by the way. I give no indication of how many (or few) thoughts I'll give you.

5. I have found that I have to use 1 more teaspoon of generic non-dairy creamer than if I were to use Coffee Mate's version.

6. See a trend in today's thoughts? Well, it's about to change.

7. As for the title of this blog... well, I dropped my small potpourri vessel on the kitchen floor earlier. So, my trash now smells pretty from the paper towels covered with liquid potpourri. (Cinnamon Spice!)

8. Thankfully I spilled it on the kitchen wood floor, rather than the living room carpet, where I was headed with the vessel.

9. Also, thankful for the pot did not break & not much liquid was lost.

10. What is that thing up in the photo above?? You've got me! I received it as a belated birthday present from Grammy's nurse, JM.

11. That was SO sweet of JM to give me that. (See, my sister invited her to my party, but she couldn't make it.

12, I just got this present yesterday when she gave to my hubby when he was at the farm mowing. She had said she kept forgetting to take it to Grammy's for me. Otherwise I would have blogged about it sooner. :o)

13. No worries, for I love unexpected gifts!

14. I do have a clue about it... on the bottom it says Longaberger. Going to check out their site to see if I can find it. If not, I'll call JM... I'll post a comment below soon as I find out.

15. Oh, yeah... Hubby says it's to put ice cream in... It does look like an ice cream cone.

16. Have you heard of Tokbox yet? I love it... it's better than Skype, in my opinion! If you'd like to friend me there to be able to do video calls, send me a PM & I'll send you the info.

17. Well, I think that does it for this edition of TOT's... Mainly because I've lost my train of thought!! ... Probably because my tummy is growling. Going to make me a BLT (without the B!!)

Hope you enjoyed your ride!
Toodles! :)

It's chilly but, I'M LOVING IT

I really should be working on my hubby's dirt bike club site and my own (non blogging type) personal site (no link yet)... but since I hadn't blogged in a few days... I thought I'd drop one off before I get busy working.

Now I was distracted long enough that I forgot what I was going to blog about! LOL!!

So, let me talk about this photo I've included here...

This is of the Crimson Maple tree right outside my kitchen window. (Can also be seen from the big picture window in the living room.) It's just so lovely every year that I think this year I'll take photos of each stage as the leaves begin to open for the season & post them here so you can share in it's beauty.

I have The Weather Channel (TWC) on in the background, as I often do, & they're talking with Severe Weather specialist Dr. Forbes on how the "tornado safety guidelines" from the Red Cross has changed what to do when in a car when a tornado hits... I have to say I'm shocked they're now saying staying in your vehicle is safer than getting out & going to a ditch... If you can't drive AWAY (not run from it) but away as in an opposite direction!

Here's the bullet points they put up...

1. Stay in vehicle, crouch down below windows.
2. Get in to ditch ONLY if shelter or vehicle is unavailable.
3. Abandon mobile homes.

Now, I have to say... staying in your car is risky, because of flying debris could come through (not just the windows but if it's powerful enough... through the metal!) However, it does seem a bit wiser in the fact if you stop & get out... you may not have time to find a ditch, let alone get into a position with your head covered, fast enough before the tornado hits.

Anyway... just wanted to share that since I'm a TWC nut! ;o)

Speaking of... They have a special series starting May 10th about tornado chasing, called Vortex 2. Mike Bettes is going to be broadcasting LIVE during the chases. I'm looking forward to it. It ought to be quite interesting. Check out the video preview of it, in the above link.

One more thing before I go to tweak hubby's site... I have found a little item that makes a the PERFECT cup of decaf... In my opinion! One of my flights I asked for decaf & that's what they gave me. I was needing more singles at home & to my delight, Wal-Mart carries them in a six pack for just 98 cents!!

Well, this ride has come to it's end. *Reaches up to pull the emergency brake.*

Toodles & *HUGS*!!

He followed the rule

A rookie stole the win from MY driver!! Never mind, he was following the rules!!

(Never know when Yahoo will change the video from any links I include... so, I hope you will get to see it. If not, I'm sure if you Google: Talledega Nascar you would find another video showing the last lap chaos!!)

I'll do my best to explain it in case this video is not the last lap of the Talledega race.

Picture if you will... My favorite driver, Carl Edwards, (#99) is in the lead on the last lap of the last corner & has another driver (Brad Keselowski, #09) "hooked" to his rear bumper as a solid drafting partner. They get into the back straight, yards away from the checkered flag... one goes one way, the other the other way... Carl goes to block & gets bumped because the guy behind him is not allowed to go below the double yellow line to pass. (Nascar may have to rethink that rule!)

So, a wreck ensues... The 3rd "big one" of the day. Well, it didn't collect many cars... but Carl's car did get up into the catch fence & take part of it out. (I guess there were 7 fans injured. Nothing life threatening though! Haven't read this story yet.)

After Carl landed, he hurries up gets out of the car (we're all thinking cause it's on fire) & he sprints off to the checkered flag... in style! Don't know if it really counts... but he's glad he DID finish the race... though crossing the line without his car may not be "official"!

If you're a fan of Nascar, you'll know that Carl is known for doing back flips when he wins a race... but he said in his post race interview this is the first time he's ever flipped in the car!

Again, I'm glad all are safe, that was a nasty wreck! I pray for the fans that were injured.

(Images used from Yahoo Sports Photo Gallery. Someone really has great reflexes with their camera & wonderful seats to get them shots!!)

I know... I know... there were 187 other laps to the race... & there were TWO other "Big Ones"... but you have to admit, this was the most intriguing part of it all.

The major spins & saves by a couple other drivers pales in comparison. That you'd have to see to even believe... & to appreciate.

They say Talledega is a wild finish... This race lived up to that!

Who says Nascar isn't fun to watch?

Painted toes

I actually took the time to put nail polish on my toes. However, as I'm finishing up the 1st foot I realized... hey, I'm up in time... I can make it to church!

So, I hurried up... shut down my computer, then got changed & high tailed it to church... well, actually, I did the speed limit, because I was stuck behind a slow truck.

I arrived in time as they were just starting the worship (singing songs) time. (It's my favorite part). Then afterward there was a carry-in dinner. I wasn't going to stay but I figured I need to eat. Good food... always is in pot luck! :)

I'm glad I went. It was nice. It had been months... I mean MONTHS since I had attended.

Then I came home & did a video tutorial. (If you'd like to see, let me know & I'll post a link in the comments below.) It was how to do Ctrl F & my opinion about the difference between Chronological & Reverse comments here on Multiply. I did it for the group I host... you know... The Last Word! :o)

Well, Hubby is home from his day of dirt bike racing... & handed me a plaque... He got 4th place!! (Team Race) Proud of him!

Now it's time for us to watch the Nascar Race (from our DVR). Got to run! Toodles! :)

P.S. Them my new shoes (in the photo) that I got while in Az... SO COMFY!! :o)

A few photos from the farm

It was a gorgeous day today in Mid, Ohio! Just a tad too hot for my taste... but it cooled off rather nicely as the evening started to set in.

While driving back to Mom's house we saw a BUNCH of deer (at least a dozen!) running across the lane. Since Mom was in front of me in her Jeep, they pretty much scattered. I hung back in my truck & watched some of them go from one side to the other.... & others went up the hill.

As I got closer to where they were, one of them decided it wanted to go back with the other bunch... then a moment later it turns around & runs across the lane for a second time. It was being silly, but was such an awesome site to see!

I wasn't close enough when the all started to scatter to count or to even see if there were any bucks... However, the one silly one decided to stick around long enough for me to get it's photo. You have to click on the "view full size" to really see it... but you can see him behind the geese. I'm so glad it turned out, because I couldn't tell if you could even see the geese on my little screen on my phone.

The one up top is just the start of the beautiful season of
Mom's flowers!!

Then I had to get pics of the creek... Oh how I loved to play in the creek when I was little... Then I developed an allergy to Poison Ivy... the creek area is loaded with it... & usually hidden among all the other weeds.

I have other photos from tonight, but they're just more of the flowers. If you all want, I can post more tomorrow. I just didn't want to overwhelm you.

G'd Night!! :o)

I know what I want for an anniversary gift (rated PG 13)

My mom sent me this in an email! (I rated it PG 13 because of the language... I just couldn't resist sharing.)
ONLY A MAN WOULD ATTEMPT THIS

Pocket Tazer Stun Gun, a great gift for the wife. A guy
who purchased his  lovely wife a pocket Tazer for their anniversary
submitted this:

Last weekend I saw something at Larry 's Pistol & Pawn
Shop that sparked my  interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary
and I was looking for a  little something extra for my wife Julie .
What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse- sized tazer. The
effects of the tazer were supposed to be short lived, with no long-term
adverse affect on your  assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat
to safety....??

WAY TOO COOL ! Long story short, I bought the device
and brought it home. I  loaded two AAA batteries in the darn thing and
pushed the button. Nothing!  I was disappointed. I learned, however, that
if I
pushed the button and pressed it against a metal surface at the same time;
I'd get the blue arc of electricity darting back and forth between the
prongs.

AWESOME!!!

Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what that burn spot is on
the face of her microwave.

Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it
couldn't be all that bad with only two triple-A batteries, right? There I
sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little
soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed
to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target.

I must admit I  thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a
second) and thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was
going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger,
I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I
wrong?

So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses
perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and
tazer in another. The directions said that a one-second
burst would shock  and disorient your assailant; a two-second burst was
supposed to cause  muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; a
three-second burst  would purportedly make your assailant flop on the
ground like a fish out  of water. Any burst longer than three seconds
would be wasting the  batteries.

All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long,
less than 3/4 inch in circumference; pretty cute really and (loaded with
two itsy, bitsy triple-A batteries) thinking to myself, 'no possible way!'
What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best...?
I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one
side as to say, 'don't do it dipshit,' reasoning that a one second burst
from such a tiny little ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad. I decided to
give myself a one second burst just for heck of it. I touched the prongs
to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and . ..

HOLY MOTHER . . WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION . . . . .
WHAT THE HELL!!!

I'm pretty sure Jessie Ventura ran in through the side
door, picked me up  in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the
carpet, over and over  and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my
side in the fetal  position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet,
both nipples on fire,  testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm
tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs?
The cat was making meowing  sounds I had never heard before, clinging to
a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an attempt to
avoid getting slammed by my bodyflopping all over the living room.

Note: If you ever feel compelled to 'mug' yourself with a tazer, one note
of caution: there is no such thing as a one second burst when you zap
yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from
your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor.. A
three second burst  would be considered conservative?

IT HURT LIKE HELL!!!

A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at
that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and
surveyed the landscape. My bent reading glasses were on
the mantel of the  fireplace. The recliner was upside down and about 8
feet or so from where  it originally was. My triceps, right thigh and
both nipples were still twitching. My face felt like it had been shot up
with Novocain, and my  bottom lip weighed 88 lbs. I had no control over
the drooling.

Apparently I pooped on myself, but was too numb to know
for sure and my sense of smell was gone. I saw a faint smoke cloud above
my head which I  believe came from my hair. I'm still looking for my
nuts and I'm offering  a significant reward for their safe return!

PS.. My wife, can't stop laughing about my experience, loved
the gift, ...  and now regularly threatens me with it!

Thanks,
Larry

My TOTs

What is a TOT? It's .... Thoughts On Thursday!
Since I missed 10 thoughts Tuesday... I'll do barrage of thoughts here on Thursday. Why not? It's still a "T" day!! ... besides, I just came up with a clever title... got to do it now!! LOL!! And because there's not a number associated with it... I can feel free to write as many thoughts as I want! Ha! (Don't worry, I'll try to limit it!)

If any of ya want to adapt my TOT idea... have at it... like I said, number doesn't matter in this. However, for your reader's sake... I would try to keep it minimal!

Let's get the TOT's rolling.

1. Sitting here trying to figure out how I can get past my writer's block.

2. What writer's block... you're writing now? Yeah, I know... I mean as for my novels.

3. Did you just say novels, plural, as in more than one? YEP!! I have now THREE started!! Yet, I can't seem to finish any of them!!

4. I'm still trying to find book number one... I have it partly written in a notebook & the other part is on the computer... which computer is the problem... I thought it was on SenCi... but when I looked before I went to Arizona, it wasn't there. JunkYard, maybe... I just haven't been able to get back there to look through my files.

5. WAIT... we have JunkYard hooked up on the network... maybe I can look via $hiba!

6. Is it really that far to go from the living room to the computer room? NOPE! Just being lazy!! Or is it the depression... maybe... but probably more to the fact, each time I think of it, Hubby is working... rather... trying to find a job.

7. I guess I'm no longer jet-lagged. Now it's just more of tiredness & probably the depression setting in again.

8. However, I have been doing a lot more than in the past. I am at least getting up at a decent time every day now.

9. Except yesterday, I had a cold attack, took some TheraFlu Severe Cold... & after putting some clothes in the wash, I was out until about 5:30p.m.

10. TheraFlu is a great thing... knocks the cold right out of ya!! At least so far that's the only thing we have found that really kicks it!!

11. Well, that was 10 thoughts... shall I keep going? Sure, why not... it's been a while since I've done any blogs for public reading...

12. Book talk again... trying to give my main character a last name. Her "co-star", so to speak, last name was easy to figure out... but for some reason, I'm having a hard time with the lead roll. I think it should be something easy... but not too generic.

13. Looks as if we're in for a beautiful weekend. Near 80, or even warmer! Too bad we can't figure out if it's going to stay like this... because I'd like to go get some seeds to plant some flowers.

14. Do you like this TOT idea? I think it makes it easier to read someone's blog when they have a lot on their mind.

15. Haven't been doing much Twittering since I was on my trip... Just really hadn't been in the mood. However, I do have it set up to "nudge" me if I hadn't tweeted in 24 hours. So, I'm giving it a test right now.

Well, I said I was going to limit my thought as much as possible, so I guess I best wrap it up now. Be sure to keep an eye on my front page for Tweets when I don't blog. That's if you wonder what I'm up to!!

Take care & I hope you enjoyed your ride!!

Toodles & Hugs!!

what's been happening? (contacts only)

Do you read ALL your contacts blogs, reviews, videos & etc?

Just those that I'm really close to & others when it sounds interesting.

 2

Yeah, I'll read them all!

 1

Are you kidding, I have hard enough time blogging about my own stuff.

 1

Other (will post a comment)

 2

Depends on my mood.

 2

Hey all... is there anything that's been happening to you lately that you'd like to share? If it's something you've already blogged about, feel free to include a link to that particular blog (or blogs).

Now that I'm home & I don't have anything (other than writing) planned in the near future... So, hopefully I can get back into the habit of checking out my friends happenings. However, I can't promise I'll get to everyone's... that's why I am asking here.

I have my very close friends that I keep up with... but I feel bad that I don't keep up with all of ya... but I guess that's the nature of social networking blogs. You'll have your close friends you keep track of & the others, you'll read when something strikes your fancy. Well, at least that's how it is for me.

I'm still fairly jet lagged... so, this is another reason why I am asking... for I'm afraid if I don't, I'll miss it in my brief scanning of new posts. Plus I'm fighting something... I should have gotten some of that "Airborne" or whatever... 'Cause I believe that I got it from the airplane. Or it's just allergies... but I had this icky feeling before I left Az... so, that's why I don't think it's allergies.

Feel free to ramble on in the comments if you want. Just remember this is for my contacts only.

For now... Toodles & HUGS!! :o)

Home Sweet Home

There's no sweeter sound than your doggies barking from the other side of the door. Ok, maybe there is, but that was music to my ears last night when I finally arrived home.

Sorry I didn't post anything before this... After the airport & an hour & 1/2 ride home Hubby needed to stop at Wal-Mart. Then we got something to eat. By the time we arrived home it was after 8:30p. I unpacked some stuff & got ready for bed. After a couple shows I was out like a light!

Today I spent the morning working on my vacation photos to upload to share. Before I could write up this blog I was hit with a wave of tiredness, so I laid down for a bit.

When you click on that link to see the pics, just click on the image to see the next one. It's a pretty cool site that I was turned on by someone from The Weather Channel. (One of the on air personalities tweeted a link to their college that was show casing the new meteorology department.

Because I was taken aback by the lay out, I sent an email to them asking if it was a program or what. Well, I was shocked to even receive a reply, let alone to find out it was a freeware program called Jalbum. So, I put all my photos in this program & uploaded them to the link above.

Unfortunately the space is limited (30mb for free accounts). So, I won't be using it for all my albums. Though, I do still enjoy Flickr for most of my photos. I'll just save Jalbums for special ones. :o)

Anyway, the trip was nice. It was great weather, as you'll see by the photos. I think I'm still jet lagged because now I'm at a loss for words. (Yeah, me!! LOL!!)

The last flight home was nice, but the landing was a bit... uh... hairy? Being in a small plane can make it feel worse than it is. The best way I can describe it is that it was fast & "heavy". Because my seat was in 1st row, I had my feet pushed up against the wall... made for stiff legs & hips this morning. All better now, though! :)

By the way, when you're looking at the photos, there are a lot of views from the planes... & when you think you're back at the beginning you're not.

Well, I've been trying to go through shows on my DVR from while I was gone... so, I'm distracted now. LOL!

So, talk with ya later. Enjoy the photos! :)

Toodles & HUGS! :)

Have to make this fast

Well, I'm in Chicago safe & sound. Another smooth flight by the American Airline pilots.

I have to make this fast, because there is a 20 minute limit on WiFi use here. Unsure why. Oh well, I am enjoying my time just sitting here, because I'm sitting next to a 1st Sgt in the Air Force. His name is Mike, but that is all I can tell you & I can not share a picture of him because he's in intelligence. I won't even mention where he's coming from or going to. I will say this... he is a very nice gentleman.

And yes, I did thank him for his service! Any time I speak with a military person I thank them. For if it was not for them I would not have this option to talk with you.

Well, I just looked at my battery strength & I'm down to 11 minutes... So, I best wrap this up so I won't loose it.

Toodles & Hugs! :)

On my way home

Here I am sitting in Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix, Az waiting to board my plane. I will be flying into Chicago O'hare, where I will have a 2 hour lay over. So, this may not be my 1st blog today. ;o)

This is nice, last year in Columbus airport I could not get connected to the internet.

Anyway, I do apologize for not posting much while I was here. Dad & J (my step-mom) kept me busy. So, I'll need a vacation from my vacation! LOL! Isn't that always the case?

Let's see, let me recap my time... As mentioned in the prior blog, I was greeted with the most beautiful site. (Pictures on that blog.)

After shopping on Sunday we all went to the pool & jacuzzi at night. Oh & yeah, Dad got me to go into the sauna... it was awful! LOL! Even J. had a hard time breathing. So, she & I went back to the pool... where they keep it at 92 degrees year round.

Dad insisted that we go in the jacuzzi last so that we'd be warm on the walk back home. (100 ft!) LOL!!! You know what, he was right!!

That was a gorgeous night. Dad even pointed out what he calls Uncle Sam's star. (That's his brother.) See, he was in the pool one night, looked up to the sky & said "Bro, if you're watching give me a sign." (or something like that) & just then the clouds parted to reveal a single started.

Well, I guess we're about to board... So, let me tell you this... Monday we went to Sedona which was a nice time. The red in the mountains is gorgeous... However, the town is basically a tourist trap. So many shops & etc, but quite expensive. I did find a couple good deals on a couple t-shirts.

Tuesday we relaxed in the morning, I took a short nap & at noon J & I went to the mall. (After I exchanged shoes I had bought at Wal-Mart the other day. That's a funny story... I was trying them on when I got home & noticed that one was a 9 & the other was a 10. I laughed thinking... only me!! LOL!!

While at the mall we so the most adorable puppies. In the window was a Great Dane that was a grey color with black spots. It was the most precious looking thing! Good thing I didn't live near by!! KIDDING!!

Then we go home & we did a web call with my sister, Gina. That was fun. But we had audio trouble. Hopefully we can get that squared away when I get home.

Well... I best be packing up. If I have time & can get a connection in Chicago, I will try to post some pictures.

Toodles & Hugs! :)

A birthday... & 1st Day in Az

I hope this finds that you & yours had a Happy & Joyous filled Easter.

Well, I am in Arizona & was greeted with the most beautiful sight... so, I whipped out my camera & had dad roll down the window. & got this shot at the right. J, my step-mom turned around & back & said, oooh look a double. This time Dad wouldn't roll the window down... so that's why this one has spots. But I think it enhances the photo. (you can click on either one to enlarge. :o)

Btw: both were taken with my LG enV2 cell phone!! :o)

Well, tomorrow is another long day, we're going to Sedona. Hope to have lot of picture to upload then.

I'me exhausted & so, I'll talk at you all later! **HUGS**

P.S. DAD'S BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW... (April 13th) will you, please, drop your wishes off here, pretty please! ... because he does read my blogs faithfully! :) Thank you :o)

Arizon or bust!!

Where did that saying come from... Your destination or bust??? (Just thinking out loud!)

In less than 24 hours I should be aboard a plane bound for Dallas where I'll change planes & then be headed to Phoenix.

Wow... my trip is ALMOST here!! WHEW!! Last couple days I've been bouncing off the wall, practically! I'm SOOOO NERVOUS!! AND excited!!

Mainly nervous that about flying. I love to fly... but I didn't have a good flight last year. The pressure was unbelievable... plus my back injury didn't help either.

Well, this time, I will be more prepared & I know what to expect. Plus, my back has been pretty good for more than a week now... KNOCK ON WOOD!! I can't say that it will be like that when I arrive in Az... but we'll see... As I said, I'm prepared... with Ibuprofen and of course Vicodin!

I can't talk to long... I still need to run to Wal-Mart to get a couple things I've forgot last time I went... (read: didn't have enough cash at the time!) Stuff like GUM... I'm going to need GUM for the plane!! I usually will go through about 4 pieces in one flight. Mainly because I have to spit out what I chewed during take off to eat. & Gum pieces now are little... need 2 pieces!! LOL!!

Can you tell, I'm nervous?? I'm also nervous, because I'm afraid of missing my flight... or they'll find my bags to be too heavy or ... well, anything & everything!!

I don't know how I'll miss my flight... it's at 1:50p & we're leaving the house at 10a & it only takes about 90 minutes to get to the airport from our house. So... I think I'll have plenty of time to get there!! LOL.

What really has me nervous is my connecting flight... it's only 40 minutes in between. And I just saw that I have to go from terminal A to terminal C... & I hear Dallas FW is a huge airport... I just hope they have one of them electric carts waiting at the gate!!

I sure hope my departure from Columbus isn't late!!

Ok, it's almost 3:00p & I want to go & get home so I can come back & relax & get to sleep early...

Oh, speaking of... last 2 nights I've gone to bed at a decent time... & again for the 2nd day today, I woke up in the morning!! 8:00a.m.!! WOO HOO! (Yesterday I was up at 6:00a.m.!!) Let's just hope this trip & the jet lag doesn't mess me up again!!

Before I go... below is my Twitter "badge" ... you can use that to read updates that I'll be texting while at airports & etc.

To see past "tweets" just click the arrows on the badge. :o) This is also on my front / home page in my Welcome box.

That's about it for now. Take care everyone & I'll see you in Arizona!! (Yeah, I'll blog while I'm there... just like last year!!) I'll even post some pics too!

Toodles & oodles of *HUGS* for all!! :o)

Arizona PREVIEW

I received an email from my dad yesterday with a link to Sedona, AZ. He said they're going to take me there while I am out visiting him.

With a view like that, my camera will get a work out, that's for sure! I just only wished I had a better one. However, I think I should not have a problem because it's all landscape.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that link with you. (It's above in the town name.)
Toodles! :)

And In The End... (updated)

And In The End...

Sound familiar? If you were watching ER tonight, it should! That is the title of the SERIES Finale! Yes, after 15 years, ER has come to an end.

This whole season has been spiced up with bringing back all the favorites from the past... & letting us know where they are now. (If not deceased.)

I can't give you a synopsis or even a review on tonight's show just yet... because I haven't watched it yet. I have it paused on my DVR ready to roll. I was just trying to finish up here & settle back to watch it, when I saw the article on Yahoo... & thought I'd share this with you while it was on my mind.

Since it's a 2 hour show, I won't be back tonight to give my thoughts on it... Look for an updated version of this in the next day or so.

Until then... TOODLES & HUGS!!

UPDATE:
After watching the show, I was pleased how they wrapped up each of the story lines. However, they did open some more... maybe to leave it available to bring back, even just for a reunion show.

They even brought a 2nd generation doctor into the ER... but she had just started med school. Had they really wanted to keep the show going, they could have pulled it off with Dr. Greene's daughter and her progress.

It's sad to see the show end. But I think it's had it's time in the spotlight.

Now we'll see how it's successor ("Southland") will do. The previews do look good.

If you didn't get to see the Series Finale of "ER", I believe you can find it at NBC.com.

Have a GREAT weekend! :)

A quick message... maybe

Hi all... just stopping by to let you know I'm still around. Just have been kind of in the mode of having to do a lot of stuff, but getting nothing accomplished. At least that's the way it seems.

Been trying to get things set up for prescription assistance. Have had to go to the doctors office twice now to just pick up stuff, including samples of sleep meds. Unfortunately he doesn't have samples of Ambien CR... so, I'm stuck taking Rozerem (sp?) ... & it's been tough switching over to it.

However, I have saved 4 of my Ambien CR for when I'm at my dad's. (In NINE days!! WOO HOO!!).. So, hopefully, I can get some nice solid sleep while I'm there.

Because of not having insurance anymore, I have to go to the generic Ambien... & last time I was on it, it did nothing for me. So... hopefully this time it will, for I have no choice. At least it won't be near as bad as the Rozerem... because that stuff make me have some off the wall dreams.

Not that my dreams are normal... but these have been out of the norm, even for me! Disturbing type... even close to nightmarish... IF I sleep at all that is! Last couple nights have been awful. So, we'll see tonight.

I can't get the generic Ambien until Monday. So, for now I've been just sleeping when I can.

Hence another reason for my quietness!
Don't forget, I'm on Twitter too... now, I've been talked into doing a Facebook profile... but that's just going to be for very very close friends & family... so, if you try to look up Lady Harley on Facebook... you'll get several hits. But none will be me!

Ok, I have dishes to get into the dishwasher.
Toodles! :)
